For a resort, three days at Kingfisher Bay Resort and Eurong Beach Resort is $729 with breakfast, lunch and dinner included, or one night at Eurong on 75 Mile Beach is $639. For something simpler, beach cabins with linen and towels are $699 for three days, and a beach house with a kitchen, a barbecue and a deck is from $525 for three days. Camping runs from Pippies, one of the only privately owned campsites on the island, $609, to a permanent bell tent at an exclusive camp, $799 for two days in a group of 4 to 13.

K'gari is big enough that a day trip spends a good part of itself on the ferry and the sand tracks. A night on the island gives you the evening and the next morning there, and every overnight trip we sell has the bed already arranged, from a resort room to a tent.

The resorts
- Kingfisher Bay Resorton the island's western beach. The 3 day trip from Rainbow Beach starts with a night here, with full access to the resort and an afternoon at leisure.
- Eurong Beach Resorton 75 Mile Beach. The second night of the same trip is here, in a recently renovated room with a private kitchenette and a balcony or patio. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. $729, rated 4 out of 5 for comfort.
- One night at Eurongfrom Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach, in motel style rooms, each with a private ensuite and a deck: single, twin, triple and quad, or two-bedroom apartments. $639 with breakfast.

Beach cabins and beach houses

Camping on the island

Driving, or being driven
The bed often comes with the other big choice. The resort trips drive you in a 4WD with a guide. The beach cabins, beach houses and camps are mostly tag-along trips, where you drive a Toyota 4WD yourself in a convoy behind a guide; the 3 day beach house trip lets you drive or ride along.
