Currency & Rate Validity
Prices quoted are initially Australian Dollars. Charges will be made in Australian dollars and the date of actual charge will determine the conversion rate used.
User Information
From time to time Lost In Australia may contact users via email to promote website specials, news and competitions unless requested not to do so.
Information about Lost In Australia Bookings
- Unless otherwise advised in writing, lostinaustralia.org is the co-ordinator of the services to be provided and acts only as an agent between the passenger and the principal supplier, thus lostinaustralia.org do not hold any liability for actions of either the supplier or the passenger.
- On occasion Lost In Australia may share card information with operators in order to fulfill orders and take payment.
- Once a booking is confirmed you must print out the information provided and present it to the supplier of the service on arrival/check-in.
- Due to uncontrollable circumstances such as weather/availability/operator changes, tour itineraries are subject to change without notice. For more information please contact us at info@lostinaustralia.org
- Lostinaustralia.org reserves the right to end any specials or promotions without notice.
- Dates shown on tour calendars represent scheduled departures only and are not guaranteed
Billings and Transactions
All transactions are processed under Lost In Australia and the corresponding tour operator. All transactions will be processed in Australian Dollars unless specified otherwise at the time of their booking. Please note that a non-refundable bank surcharge fee of up to 2% may be applied to all purchases made with credit/debit card.
Lost In Australia is a booking agent for various tour operators located around Australia. As such, we sometimes only charge deposit amounts with the balance being charged by the primary tour operator. In this scenario, customer credit/debit card details may be transferred to the primary tour operator for payment of the booking and/or security on the booking itself.
By booking tours through lostinaustralia.org, you ("the Customer") agree to the following terms and conditions:
- lostinaustralia.org sells products from an inventory supplied by each supplier and does not oversell that inventory. lostinaustralia.org does not accept any liability for unavailability of product caused by the supplier over-selling their own inventory.
- lostinaustralia.org makes its best efforts to ensure that the information available on its web site is accurate, but lostinaustralia.org cannot and does not guarantee that the site is free from faults or errors.
- lostinaustralia.org does not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information published on the site at any time.
- lostinaustralia.org does not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use of or connected with its web site or for any products or services purchased from its web site.
- lostinaustralia.org makes no warranty or representation about the fitness or suitability of any product or service advertised on its web site.
- There is no refund for late pickup or early departure from products booked.
- Passengers must ring and reconfirm their tours at least 48 hours prior to departure.
- Passengers who do not supply a pickup location will be given a default pick up location and time. It is their responsibility to change this direct with the operator.
- lostinaustraia.org does not take responsibility for any problems arising as a result of passengers failing to reconfirm their tour outside of 48 hours prior to departure.
Cancellations & Changes Policy
All tours will have different cancellation policies so please enquiry directly - However, generally speaking, cancellation fees are as follows:
- 30 days or more: 0-25% of fare;
- 8 to 29 days: 0-50% of fare; or
- 0 to 7 days or no show: 100% of the fare
In addition, Lost in Australia reserves the right to incur an additional 5%-10% fee to cover any non-refundable charitable contributions made on the customers behalf.
Deposit Bookings
For some tours on lostinaustralia.org allow the payment of deposits to secure seats onboard particular tours. This option is only available for advanced bookings for tours that are departing outside of 30 days.
Full payment is required at a minimum of 30 days prior to the actual departure date of the tour. Failure to pay the balance of your tour could result in the possible cancellation of your reservation and a 100% loss of deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable.
Bookings made via Bank Transfer
All reservations made using bank transfers are not secured or processed until funds have been recieved by Lost In Australia. In some cases, this can be up to 3 days from the transaction depending on senders bank.
Loss, Damage or Harm
lostinaustralia.org is not responsible for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses arising out of injury, accident or death, damage to or loss of baggage or property, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, disappointment, upset or frustration arising from:
- The act of omission of any party
- Mechanical breakdown, government actions, weather or any factors beyond the controls of lostinaustralia.org
- The passenger's failure to obtain any necessary documentation
- The passenger's failure to follow any instructions including, but not limited to, those regarding check-in, check-out, baggage handling
- The cancellation or alteration for any reason of the travel service offered
- Any physical disabilities and any medical or health-related problems experienced by the passenger.
- Any uncontrollable circumstances i.e weather
