We'll camp under the stars as well as stay in dorm share accommodation. We'll also visit WA's best attractions; Coral Bay, Carnavon, Exmouth, Monkey Mia, Karijini, Broome and Ningaloo Reef.

“Adventure (tours) awaits”
The price is steep but it was worth it. I made friends for life and memories I will never forget. On the Darwin to Broome leg our guide Rik was well organised and made sure we saw everything on the itinerary and more. We then had a few days off in Broome, so do check whether your accommodation there is included. From Broome to Perth our guide was Jenai, who is lovely to talk to, makes sure everyone is comfortable and finds a reason to make you laugh at every opportunity.

“An unforgettable 7-day adventure through the Red Centre”
I went on Adventure Tours at the Red Centre in September and it was definitely a highlight of my Australian days!
Our guide Captain Vegemite has years of experience, was funny and easy going, at the same time always attentive and reliable. His stories (including his Vegemite love 😅) made the tour unique.
Procedure & highlights
• Day 1: Pick up in Yulara on time, drive to camp, group performance, then Walpa Gorge Walk at Kata Tjuta and finish with Uluru sunset with snacks. Afterwards, dinner together, prepare swags and sleep under the starry sky.
• Day 2: Very early out to sunrise at Uluru, then almost did the complete base walk. Waterhole and rock drawings of the Anangu are explained. Afternoon drive towards Kings Canyon (via Mt Conner) and new camp. There, dinner, campfire, steamer baked and end the evening.
• Day 3: Early departure to Kings Canyon Rim Walk (about 6 km) – for me the highlight of the tour! Stunning scenery with Garden of Eden. After lunch and back to Yulara. In the evening we will have dinner together, campfire and optionally the opportunity to go to the Field of Lights or something similar.
• Day 4: Relaxed breakfast, packing things, last photos and goodbye.
Essen & Camp
The food was varied and delicious, even vegetarian options were always there. Showers and toilets were better than expected, of course camping style, but absolutely okay. There were also charging options for mobile phone and camera.
Tipps:
• In September it can get cool at night (sometimes only 5 °C) → pack warm clothes! In the swag it gets warm quickly, they are well insulated.
• Be sure to wear hiking boots or dark shoes (the red sand will color).

We did the 3 night tour from Yulara and Jackson was our tour guide. We learned so much from him about the area, history and local communities. We had the best time and would recommend! it was my first camping trip and I was nervous. But Lorrie showed up! our guide Lorrie is very professional and gave us detailed instructions before every activity. (Btw we are fans of her food. Her food is amazing even tho she doesn’t admit it hahaha). And luckily we also met very nice 12 camping pals, living like a family and still get in touch after trips. “Great guide & unique camping experience in The Red Centre”
A great way to experience Uluru- camping in the outback underneath the stars! Swags were daunting at first (coming from a very non-camper) but were suprisingly warm & comfy. Our guide Lorrie was wonderful, down to earth and looked after our group very well. She was very knowledgable about all the amazing attractions we saw and our tour ran without a hitch. I got to see and do what I wanted without having to worry about all of the logistics. I live in a major metro city and I would highly recommend this tour if you would like to experience something new & different in where else, but The Red Centre!

“10 days adventure tour Uluru with Captain Vegemite”
It was a great 10 days trip from Yulara with our tourguide Wayne. He knows a lot of the Aboriginals culture, the surroundings, bushcraft and has a great sense of humor. It was a great adventure with camping (sleeping in a swag or a tent), joint cooking and do the dishes, but most of all great hikes, great views and we learned a lot about the Aboriginals and history. And although it is a 3,5 hours ride to Kings Canyon on day 2, it was totally worth it. The spectacular views, the challenging hike makes it one of the highlights of our visit of Australia.

“Memories for a lifetime”
I did the 4 day red centre trip sleeping in swags with Autopia Tours. Communication was good prior to the tour date.
We had a great multi international group of people who all mucked in when preparing meals and cleaning up the aftermath.
Our guide was Damian who worked really hard and provided great information regarding the locations we passed and visited during the tour.
In addition details of the indigenous culture and people of the region.
The scenery, sunrises/sunsets were absolutely tremendous.
Depending on the time of the year early starts are essential to see the magnificent sunrises.
Pickup 1st day was 6am, next 2 days it was up at 5am and on the road for 6am. 4th day was more leisurely up at 6:10am. Who can forget the stunning surroundings and campground locations and not forgetting the night sky’s which were free of light pollution.
A tremendous experience not to be missed.

The highlights for us were the base walk around Uluru and the breathtaking hike at Kings Canyon.
Be aware that it’s a participatory tour, so everyone pitches in with small tasks like setting up swags, helping with dinner, and washing dishes.
Overall, the experience in the Outback was truly unforgettable — a great way to explore such a unique and special part of Australia.

Our guide Lorrie was exceptional. She was very knowledge and flexible to all our needs. She made extra effort to make the trip a memorable and comfortable one for everyone in our group.
Sunrises and sunsets were exceptional sceneries throughout the trip. Swag sleeping was surprisingly comfortable. Food was good. Other facilities - toilets, baths, dining, kitchen and travelling were well organized.

“Adventure tours lives up to its name”
Adventure tours really lives up to its name. It was a really fabulous experience overall. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, friendly and well organised. I loved the variety on the tour. The tent accommodation was a lot better than I was expecting and sleeping in swags was a great experience. The hikes and other destinations were really amazing. The only downside was the poor transport which was unreliable resulting in us having to swap vehicles numerous times and also wait for parts to arrive. Key equipment (a jack) was not in one of the vehicles when we got a flat tyre. This could have had a really negative impact on the trip if not for a lot of good luck our tour guides resilience and problem solving skills. She ensured we got there in the end and hit all the destination points of the itinerary (without feeling rushed) by changing the order of the itinerary. Despite the transport issues I would still highly recommend this trip.

This was my first trip with Adventure Tours and I would definitely recommend it. I did the Broome to Perth route, which had plenty of highlights including Karijini National Park, Exmouth, Coral Bay and Kalbarri. The camping set-up at Karijini was very pleasant and the hostel stays were well organised. The food along the way was great thanks to our guide Michael, who made sure we had the best time.

I peppered our guide, Mitch with incessant questions over our three night adventure. He always had a fascinating fact on hand or an engaging story to tell, often relating to his learnings from the traditional owners.
Great energy, genuine engagement and a host of funny stories. It's a fine art to run a tour and not sound like you're repeating yourself, or you're bored with what you're sharing; and Mitch always felt earnest in his manner.

This tour was amazing! I loved it from start to finish. Our tour guide Lorrie was incredible - she was so knowledgeable about the area and presented everything in a very culturally sensitive way throughout the tour. She gave us different options of things do at different locations, helped a lot of us through our first ever swag camping experience (!) and was such great company (with great music taste), she really made the tour for us - I can't recommend her and the company enough. Will definitely go with Adventure Tours again!
A fantastic experience from start to finish. Our guide Adam was a lovely down-to-earth bloke who shared his knowledge freely and looked after all of us, from the food to the accommodation to the activities. The itinerary worked well — two or three busy days of activity, then a driving day to rest up before the next lot. Great value. My only query was that the itinerary mentioned a first night on a cattle station, which didn't happen.

The highlight of the tour was Mel, the tour guide. She was a fountain of knowledge, a ray of sunshine, a bundle of energy and such a pleasure to spend 10 days with. Mel made everyone to have fun, feel safe and comfortable and she helped the whole group to bond and we all became great friends very quickly!
The food was exceptional, Mel went above and beyond to provide us with variety across the whole trip even though we were using hostel kitchens and campsite bbq equipment. Even the vegans and vegetarians had fantastic meals throughout the trip.
There was a lot of driving as the west coast is a long way but totally worth every minute spent in the bus. Mel made sure to keep us in the loop at all times about when the next toilet/food stop was and after all "any tree is a lava - tree (tory)".
Advice would be to stay in Perth for at least a couple days before the tour and then book accomodation in Broome for a week as well. Broome and Karijini were the highlights of the tour for me.
All in all, cannot reccommend enough.
I went on the Broome to Perth trip and it was wonderful. It is the best way to see the west coast in a short time - we did the whale sharks, manta rays and Karijini National Park, plus Monkey Mia, Kalbarri and the Pinnacles. The food was fantastic and our guide Adam was a legend who made the trip even better.

This was such a special experience in the red centre. Being able to see Uluru, King’s Canyon and Kata Tjuṯa were just spectacular. One of the best parts for us was the sunrise walk around Uluru. We were the only group there and it was so serene and peaceful watching the sun rise on such a magnificent site. Our night at and morning hike at King’s Canyon was also phenomenal. Our guide, Ryan, did a great job taking care of our group and driving us all over the place! We took the tour from Alice Springs and I would highly recommend starting from Yulara - it will cut off a big portion of the drive and you’re driving a lot already on this trip. We opted for tents rather than swags but I don’t think you could go wrong with either. The accommodations were great at both sites. Nice clean toilet and shower facilities and great camping gear. I was hesitant to embark on a 7000km road trip with a group of strangers and an unknown guide, but I couldn't have been more wrong. our guide led us on a journey that exceeded all expectations, from the early morning start in Perth to the incredulous end 10 days later. Each day was filled with excitement, adventure, and personal challenges - from abseiling despite a fear of heights, to snorkeling with humpback whales and whale sharks at Ningaloo. The stunning country at Kalbarri and the breathtaking gorges and pools at Karajini National Park made for an unforgettable experience. Simmo was the ultimate guide, expertly balancing flexibility and organization, as well as catering to each member of the group's needs. His bush donuts were a delicious bonus. The photos and film he shared of the trip were a fantastic reminder of the journey. I couldn't have had a better time or a better guide, he truly made this trip a incredible.

I recently went on my first organized camping trip and it was a great experience. The itinerary was busy and the distances along the west coast were quite long, but our guides made sure we visited some of the most beautiful and remote places. The group was divided into three parts and every group had a mission, which kept the whole group organized and together. Despite it being the vacation season in Australia, some places were quite busy, but our guides made sure we visited even more remote and beautiful places. It meant getting up very early and reaching the campsites late in the evening, but the sunrises and sunsets were absolutely stunning. The optional activities were also well-organized and the guides made sure we were taken care of all the time. This is the right trip if you like camping and group activities along the west coast.

We had a wonderful time. Our 10-day trip from Perth to Broome offered an opportunity to experience the diverse beauty of Western-North Australia. It is a fast-paced journey that caters to different types of enthusiasts, from beaches to forests, dunes to gorges, lakes to rivers and the sea. With stunning scenery, red dirt, and high temperatures, you'll be sure to see a wide variety of Australian fauna and flora, including emus, various birds, lizards, dolphins, fishes, sharks, sting rays, manta rays, and perhaps even dingoes or whales, depending on luck and season. The trip offers a variety of activities such as walking, hiking, abseiling, swimming, snorkeling, diving, and more, and there's a lot of time spent on the road. Accommodations range from camping in national parks to staying in air-conditioned hostel rooms, and you'll be traveling with people from different parts of the globe. Our leader/guide, a local operator, was the perfect maestro to lead our 19-person group on this 10-day journey.

Mon and Gav were our guides and they were amazing!! They made our tour the best. On both tours I luckily had a lovely group of people and Mon and Gav worked incredebly hard to make everything possible. Swimming with humpbacks, whalesharks, beautiful hikes, even extra hike and activity options if time allowed us to. They made us great meals and used time so efficiently possible to make sure we had more than enough time to spend on the beautiful places we visted. Also they dealt very well with difficult situations that were outside of their power and found a solution for everything. The tour itself and the places we visted were amazing as well!

It was a real adventure spending some nights in a tent and seeing the stars shining. The landscape was stunning and the hikes in Karijini National Park to the gorges and swimming were wonderful. Our guide, Wara, was the best guide ever! He has an enormous knowledge and shared interesting stories about Australia every day. He took care of everyone and made sure we were all comfortable. The food was also very delicious! I highly recommend taking the chance to see the beauty of Western Australia for yourself.

It was an excellent trip, I really enjoyed it. Travelling through the Kimberley has definitely been the highlight for me so far in Australia. The scenery was incredible, so impressive. We had a really fun group and Heath was a great guide, cook (and photographer which a lot of us took advantage of). I would definitely recommend this tour.

Wow If i could give this tour and guide Trent 10 out of 5 I would. I have dreamt about going up the Gibb River Road for a long time and I wasn't disappointed. I did think "It is now or never" and I wanted the real camping (not clamping) and 4WD eperience and that's what I got. I don't have the words to describe what I saw, did, achieved and feel. I saw waterholes and waterfalls, Australian animals on the land and in the water, stunning sun rises and sunsets and much more. I loved sleeping under the stars and eating great camp food. Trent had a boundless energy to do the best for everyone in the group. SLAVE thank you for teaching me how to roll out a swag, put up a tent, jump off a cliff, cook on a fire and helping me walk over boulders and uneven surfaces. I hope Kimberley Adventure Tours will continue for many years to come as this is the real OUTBACK. “Thanks for a great time”
An amazing adventure - Our guide, Damien, was wonderful - entertaining and also supportive. The hikes were much more difficult than I expected, and bouldering was not something I was prepared for, but the awesome scenery and swimming holes made it all worthwhile. There were some long drives involved but Damien talked us through what to expect so we could cope. The food was brilliant - fresh salads every day and I now want hummus with every meal. The mix of people on the trip (ages from 20 to 66) made for a great opportunity to bond without forming cliques. It was amazing to experience a part of Australia that was unknown to me as a city-dweller. Overall, it was a great experience to explore Australia from a different perspective.

We went for a swim in the middle of this amazing lake, watched the sunset with a beer in our hand and camped on an island. No one around, except a group of legends.

We went for a swim in the middle of this amazing lake, watched the sunset with a beer in our hand and camped on an island. No one around, except a group of legends.
If you're looking for a memorable adventure I could really recommend this..
“Amazing Broome-to-Perth trip!”
We are a family of 4 (kids ages 13 and almost 11) and did the inaugural 10-day Broome-to-Perth trip with Stuart in June. It was an amazing time! The trip was a good mix of different types of activities (canyon hikes, beaches, snorkling, swimming with the whale sharks, etc.), which works well for keeping kids and adults alike entertained. Since the trip was new, Stuart was still scouting out the best places to stay, and found us some *awesome* (completely deserted) bush sites, mixed in with a couple nights at sites with facilities, and even a farm where the kids could pet goats. He was also great for the kids - lots of fun, made sure they pitched in, was flexible and slowed the pace a little, and even made a cake in a pot on the camp stove for our daughter's birthday!
Karinjini and Kalbarri are amazing, as is the whale shark experience. Even the long hours in the van (there are a lot of k's between Broome and Perth!) were enjoyable between the company and the scenery. The amazingly red dirt roads stretch to the horizon and you can travel for hours without seeing anyone. Having time for some more or longer hikes might be nice, but it's also a balancing act to try to be in Exmouth on a day with good weather for the whale shark tour.
Overall, the tour was a fantastic experience for us. The sites and activities were incredible, we loved the small group and sleeping in swags under the stars, the food was delicious, and Stuart was great at keeping us informed and entertained. We hope to get back and do the Kimberley tour next!

A quintessential Australian experience made more real by seeing it in a small group with a magnificent guide.
Kimberley Adventure Tours support and organisation of the tour and Heath’s, our guide, logistics delivery was outstanding!
Heath, kept us fed, on track and supported us to the level of our ability to do, see and experience as much as possible.
All this with a sense of teamwork, fun and encouragement; we could not have wrung any more out of our days and nights immersed in the bush.
With KAT and his help we saw and experienced the magnificent Kimberley to maximum effect.

“Wonderful trip through an iconic part of Australia”
This wonderful trip through one of the iconic parts of the country was full of surprises - gorges with rivers, waterfalls, plants, animals, rocks as well as the natural features of the arid areas. Above us always was a big sky with a display of stars every night. The range of plants and animals surprised me, but you have to take the time to look. Signs of the people who lived here for so long, such as the rock art, were deeply moving even without a clear meaning for us.
Duffman, our driver, guide, cook, mechanic and friend coped with the foibles of the twelve of us. Not only was he knowledgeable about the country we travelled, he took pains to show and tell us so much including finding a rock art site he'd not seen previously.
Our evening meal, cooked on an open fire, was so delicious and we ate so much. Duffman worked the fire with great skill to produce such a variety of food. We did the preparation. Duffman also entertained us and kept our truck running.
The driving took time but it was an opportunity to take in the landscape and spot some of the bird life. We covered a large area.
Work gloves for collecting firewood and doing some of the chores would be useful.
I'd highly recommend this trip to anyone with a sense of adventure, a level of fitness and acceptance of the unpredictable, as long as they realise it needs a commitment from everyone to help make it happen. After all, this is not a white bus tour but a yellow one.

I will definitely recommend this trip! The Kimberleys is such a wonderfull part of WA. And the way how you can explore this area is a big adventure! The 4WD truck is nice to travel with. You can always talk to everyone because of the seats and you can see a lot of beautiful/secret spots that you can't see with a normal car.
All the activities were very nice to do! Also, the whole vibe was great for the team spirit! We are still in contact with each other
I will say thanks a lot to Duffman, our guide, who made this an unforgettable trip!
“Fell in love with the Kimberleys”
I fell absolutely in love with the Kimberleys during the journey - with the waterfalls, pools, the lanscape. The hikes and the swimming were so much fun. I really loved the exploring. I had a awesome time with an amazing group which worked as a team and was pretty chilled out. Our camp places were in breathtaking spots and we had a lot of really good nights at the campfire with our guides Niall and Mick. Niall did a really good job in telling us a lot about the places we've been to. I learned so much about the area, that was really great.
All in all it was the perfect trip for me!
“Just do it”
No, this is not going to be an ad for NIKE, but my answer for any concerns you have considering to explore the Kimberley. Don’t worry about the camping (swags come with a good mattress, just bring warm cloths for the night), about the limited facilities (no toiletries are much more hygienic than public toilets), about the mozzies (just bring a spray and a fly net), or about the food (our guide Niall is a great cook and we had really good steaks on a private island in lake argyle, Spaghetti Bolognese in the bungles etc. Gluten free meals are not a problem!). So, just do it and go for the experience! It’s magical and a trip that I will always remember as a very special one! You will be so surprised how awesome it is when there is no internet reception in days!
Cheers to Niall, a very experienced tour guide who knows the region, the flora and fauna very well. Could not imagine a better guide for that tour!
But please, when you decide to just do it - don’t complain about the weather ;)

“Fabulous tour - an awesome experience we’d recommend”
Such a great experience!! Camp experience was awesome and the sights were nothing short of spectacular. Mitch was excellent as a guide - great knowledge of the area, background and customs and fab cooking to boot.
