Melbourne, the countries second largest city, sits along the Yarra River and is this is where culture junkies can get lost and absorbed in a globally influenced art, music, theatre and food scene. To the west of Melbourne have access to the Great Ocean Road with incredibly photogenic coast lines, lush national parks, quiet and picturesque county towns and hundreds of kilometres of undisturbed coast line.

For those who want to escape into landscapes and wildlife, or perhaps a little trekking, just south of Melbourne is the island state of Tasmania in all its glory.

To the west we find farmland and breathtaking bushwalking in the Grampians National Park. The most-southern mainland tip is in the spiritually reviving Wilsons Promontory National Park. Here the Australian outback sneaks into the deserts of the northwest and the home of the mighty Murray river.
