“Fantastic 3-Day Red Centre Tour”
One of the highlights of our Australia trip. The itinerary covers the key Red Centre sights, including Kata Tjuta, Uluru at sunrise and sunset, the Cultural Centre and the Kings Canyon rim walk, and the walks are active but manageable. We chose the Eco Tent option and were very happy with it, with a proper bed and good protection from insects and the temperature swings. Both camps had good bathrooms and one even had a pool. The food was another highlight, and our guide Lisa (Echo) was exceptional, very organised and knowledgeable, and happy to cater for us as vegetarians.

He took care of all of us (12 people all from different backgrounds) with limitless patience. He not only guided us but also cooked great dishes for us, without ever showing signs of fatigue. He deserves promotion and great respect.

We've enjoyed all of the hikes, the cultural stories and the sleeping under the stars. The sunrises and sunsets were stunning. We also loved that there wasn't any alcohol at the Uluru sunset as to respect the culture of the local people.

This tour really packs a lot into 3 days. The hikes were amazing but tough (Kings Canyon is no joke!). Our guide was excellent—super organised and full of great stories. The only downside was the heat—it was intense! Make sure to stay hydrated.

Our guide Ryan was excellent — well organised, very knowledgeable about everywhere he took us and good company too. The food was plentiful and good quality. The tented accommodation could do with some investment though: our second tent leaked in an overnight storm and left our bedding damp, and the lanterns had no charge so we used our phone torches. Easily fixed things that took a little shine off an otherwise fantastic trip.
I booked the three-day Uluru tour and added an extra night, which was one of the best decisions of my trip. Our guide Troy was fantastic — extensive knowledge of the region, several languages, and he knew so much about the local wildlife and culture that we spotted animals I'd have walked straight past. He was a great cook too and really brought the group together. One of the best tours I've done in Australia.

Slightly late review (sorry !) but had the most amazing 3 day camping trip to Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and the surprising and wonderful finale of Kings Canyon, made all the better by our wonderful tour guide Libbi (helped by hosty Garret), who was pure magic to be around ! Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the natural environment and the indigenous people was nothing short of awe inspiring. Highlight adventure! I had hunter as my guide and he did a wonderful job. He is very knowledgable of the area. I enjoyed listening to the stories and learning about the anangu people. I loved how the group came together to cook and we all slept under the stars in swags with a fire.

Fantastic opportunity to see the big 3 from Alice Springs! Seeing rain on the rock was just a bonus on top of a fun trip with like minded people and our lovely guide Hunter. Getting to sleep under the stars and see the centre in its different moods was very special. Hunter was very informative and did a wonderful job bringing the group together. For future guests make sure you pack something warm and bring snacks for the drives

We had the best guide Libbi as she drove and showed us around Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon in 3 days! Libbi was friendly and fun, and told us much about the geology, history and cultural significance of each place. Oh and hands down, best damper I've had! We opted for tents which was comfortable and the facilities at the campsites were clean and decent. Loved the sunrise base walk at Uluru but my favourite views would have to be the starry skies at night in the outback. Would definitely reccomend!

Loved this tour. Our guides Libbi and Sophie were the best. Their energy and love of the NT was contagious. The 4 days flew past. “Stunning landscape, well organised with a very diverse fun group”
rom the first minute Hunter -our great guide, -driver, -cook, -bus mechanic and -everything more- made us feel welcome and safe on ‘his’ bus. After picking up the rest of the of the crew we had beautiful sunsets and sunrises, even more beautiful walks - there is so much more than Uluru- and a lot of fun. Our crew was diverse in age - from 10yr Ben to ‘ experienced’ Rob and Marie - , nationality ( 10) and-so-on.. great!
Not to forget how fab it is to see the stars in a setting without lights.. the tents were very comfortable although the folks using the ‘ swag’ - bed obviously had the better star view! Big thanks to Hunter!

My trip to Uluru/Kata Tjuta/Kings Canyon with Adventure Tours was incredible! I had the most amazing time exploring this beautiful landscape and learning about the Indigenous culture and the rock formations. And in just 3 days we saw so much and it didn’t feel rushed at all.
Our tour guide Hunter was awesome- he was very knowledgeable, made everyone feel comfortable and included and informed, made sure we all remained respectful on our visits to sacred areas, made us laugh (bar the poor dad jokes haha), made great food (chicken curry was a highlight), and just made the trip so much fun.

This was absolutely one of the best trips I have ever done! If you are debating this trip at all - do it!!! Everything was made so easy and the trip was very well organised. Mishka was the best! Great guy, excellent tour guide and great cook! The entire experience was really enjoyable. Our group was a broad mix of ages and nationalities. The hiking was beautiful and well worth the money. The bedding was fresh and clean and facilities were very much as promised. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to the outback!
“Sunsets and Sunrises galore”
I did the option of starting the tour in Uluru and then finished it in Alice Springs for a total of 2 nights out in a swag camping. I really loved my time with lots of hiking, watching the sunset of Uluru, the sunrise walk around the base of Uluru was exceptional. Really enjoyed watching the sunset at the Station the second night too.
Betty our guide was excellent - she took her job of telling us more about the Anangu people and culture very seriously and helped us understand the importance of where we were. She also facilitied us all cooking and cleaning together which helped you feel more like a group of friends camping, instead of on a tour. We had a fun time watching the sunset and sitting around the campfire with a couple beers (if you wanted) on the second night. The Canyon Rim walk was also great. Overall highly recommend. If I was to choose again I'd probably choose to do the Uluru pick up and drop off, as it gives you an extra night to do activities and saves you several hours of extra driving!

“A spectacular time in the red centre!”
This was such a special experience in the red centre. Being able to see Uluru, King’s Canyon and Kata Tjuṯa were just spectacular. One of the best parts for us was the sunrise walk around Uluru. We were the only group there and it was so serene and peaceful watching the sun rise on such a magnificent site. Our night at and morning hike at King’s Canyon was also phenomenal. Our guide, Ryan, did a great job taking care of our group and driving us all over the place! We took the tour from Alice Springs and I would highly recommend starting from Yulara - it will cut off a big portion of the drive and you’re driving a lot already on this trip. We opted for tents rather than swags but I don’t think you could go wrong with either. The accommodations were great at both sites. Nice clean toilet and shower facilities and great camping gear. We had a group of 20 which was very nice. Some bus groups had 40 which would have been very overwhelming. Would highly recommend using Adventure Tours for your trip!

Tye and Betty were awesome guides and kept things moving along really well. Campsites were great, food was awesome-nice to have some basic home cooking after travelling for weeks. Uluru was magical, especially the walk around the base for sunrise. I skipped heart attack hill in kings canyon but the river trail was beautiful. A lot of driving but it seemed to go quickly. Felt safe despite my worries about the creepy crawlers who live on the outback. Highly recommend this tour for people of all activity levels! You do have to beware of Tye’s awful jokes- come with a few of your own to give him a run for his money

I had an amazing eperience with all this lovely sunsets, sunrises, the mystical and stunning nature, the nice and lovely people. Our group was a perfect mixture of older and younger people. Mischka was an overall perfect guide and thanks to him all of us had a perfect time - at least I think so, I definitely had.

Eventhough it was Lorries first trip as the leading guide, she did very well and spotted a lot of wild animals. “Amazing outback camping experience!”
We had an amazing 3 days on the Rock the centre tour from Alice springs!
Ryan was an amazing guide and he made sure everyone was having a great time, including little bonus’ here and there and also providing local knowledge on some of the sights during both the drives and the hikes.
He made sure we were all fed with great meals, and was able to make last minute changes dependant on conditions to ensure the best possible trip.
Be prepared this is more like a scout camp rather than an all inclusive holiday which we enjoyed and it made connecting and befriending all the fellow campers easier and not intimidating.
Expect lots of flies and bugs but that’s part of the experience! And plenty of places to purchase fly nets.
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone from backpackers to solo travellers, we made some great friends and have taken back lots of memories from the trip!

I did the 3 day tour starting and finishing in Alice Springs. Mishka was an excellent tour guide, he had great enthusiasm and knowledge and was very attentive to everyone’s needs.
If you are looking for luxury accommodation this probably isn’t for you but if you want a fun camping experience this tour is a really good option.

The 3 day camping tour was amazing! Our guide Mishka was knowledgeable, funny and took really good care of us.
The itinerary was really well organised. Getting up early so you don’t have to walk in the midday heat and water was available at all times during the trip, so no worries about that! Occasionally there were snacks handed out to everyone which was really nice and so were the meals!
Sleeping under the stars was unforgettable as was the sunset and sunrise over Uluru and the rest of the tour. A remarkable trip in the middle of Australia I would say :)

The guide was knowledgeable and the trip was excellently organised. The accommodation on our first night was poor though, with two of the four toilets out of use.
Our young guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and capable, as well as fun. He put the group's safety first, which mattered in the heat we had, offered options to suit different fitness levels and even found us a pool to swim in between hikes one day. We did all three main parks and the main hikes, which is what I came for. The itinerary mentioned a camel farm visit that didn't happen — it should probably say activities can change with the weather. The campsites were rustic rather than high end, but that's camping and it was a true outback experience. Loved it.
This tour was the best thing I did on my whole trip to Australia. The national parks are simply magical, the group was lovely and the food was good. Our guide Troy was the best I've ever had — his knowledge was extraordinary and he gave us a great time. Worth every penny, and I'm already thinking about coming back.

We went on the 3 day trip to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon Camping
from Alice Springs from October 21st 2023 to the October 23rd 2023. The trip started in Alice Springs and headed to Uluṟu for a fantastic sunset to finish off day 1 and then a camp over night. Day 2 we took in a sun rise at Uluṟu and then set off to complete a trek around the Valley of the winds following which we camped over night. The 3rd and final day we did the trek around the Kings Canyon, and then headed back to Alice Springs. Our tour guide Ryan was brilliant. He went above and beyond to make our trip a very memorable one. He was very knowledgeable about all of the areas that we visited and took us to additional bonus places that were not on our trip. We would highly recommend booking a trip with Ryan if you want to get an authentic bush trip around Uluṟu, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon.
A good trip and well worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable about the area, though a bit frantic for my taste — professional, but frantic. The food was good and the vegetarian and gluten-free meals looked good too, although there were no gluten-free snacks on one of the hikes. Be aware the food is provided but not cooked for you: our group did about 95 per cent of the cooking and cleaning, which is actually a nice way to get to know everyone. Charge your phone at the first camp, as the second has nowhere to. Expect very early starts — we were up at 4am and then 3am — but that's understandable as it gets hot by nine, and it was worth it. A wonderful trip with a wonderful group.
A great trip. Kings Canyon was my favourite day and I loved that campsite in particular. Lots of 5am starts, but well worth it for the sunrise hikes. Our guide was really nice and enthusiastic, though we'd have liked a bit more of the cultural side, and a bit more warning about when things were happening. I'd still recommend it completely and would do more trips elsewhere.
Simon was an amazing guide — very knowledgeable and good at communicating the timings so we always knew what was going on. A fantastic way to experience Uluru and the surrounding area.

The landscape of Uluṟu, Kata Tjuṯa and Kings Canyon was incredible: dramatic, powerful, shape shifting, and kaleidoscope colours. Wow ! Off the scale star rating.
Our guide, Simon (day 1 ) and Ryan (days 2 and 3) were knowledgeable friendly and helpful. 5 stars for them.
The camp sites are basic and adequate. The Uluṟu campsite needs a good clean. 2 stars.
The food was basic, fairly tasty and plenty of it. There was no fruit or heathy snacks. 2 stars.
Our tour guide worked very long days, from 5 am to 8 pm, and did everything: setting up the camp, cooking, guiding us through the sites and driving for up to 6 hours a day. There is only 1 guide for each tour which is a big responsibility for the young guide and clearly exhausting. Our group was worried our guide was too exhausted to drive back to Alice Springs which is an alarming work place and safety issue. 5 stars for the guides. 1 star to the tour company.
As there is only one tour guide, the guests are expected to pack and unpack the kitchen gear, to wash up and sweep their tent on departure. This was fine as we were happy to help our over-worked guide. The tour info does not mention that guests are expected to do this.
A good tour with lots of fun and very good hikes. The guides looked after us and were careful. Only half an hour at the Aboriginal centre though, which was too little to learn much about Aboriginal culture.
What an experience — the scenery and the activities were stunning. Our guide, Wildman, was the life and soul of the tour and surpassed my expectations. I can see how he got the name. He had heaps of knowledge about the area and was completely passionate about the wildlife, the geology and the local people. A true Aussie outback experience.

“amazeing uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon”
For what you got to see in the three days it was amazing. The walk around Uluru and the interperative culturall walk a highlight. The disappointment was the tour guide Wayne. There were only four people on the tour only it seems Wayne thought there was two. Very little acknowledgement given to me and my friends exsistence and when a querie was made, Wayne was curt and dismissive.
Catching up with people later in Alice it seems we were not theonly ones with this experience. I would not reccommend a tour with this guide.

Sleeping under the stars was breathtaking in the pristine wilderness of central Australia. Wayne, our guide, chef, driver and accommodation provider, was faultless. First class meals prepared and cooked from scratch by Wayne. We felt safe and happy at all times despite the Covid19 pandemic. Wayne was in daily contact with his employer and authorities via satellite phone even when we were out of range on our mobiles. Wayne was a very experienced and safe driver at all times. He coped brilliantly with each twist and turn of lockdown, altering our plans to accommodate authorities and his boss.

This review is for Adventure Tours and Wayne our tour guide. First and foremost I am very concerned for the SAFETY of passengers from this Tour Company. I’m not sure if it’s normal for there to be only one Tour Guide doing everything and I mean everything. Poor Wayne is driving over 6-8 hours a day after taking guests on a 3-4 hour hike. A couple of passengers voiced there concern at how tired he was and really should not be driving and he would just say he’s fine. We were taking turns watching him so he wouldn’t fall asleep at the wheel. It’s very concerning when you see your driver shaking his head and obviously trying not to nod off. We’re on holiday we shouldn’t be fearing for our lives. Then there’s the tour bus which is falling apart. It’s also a worry when another tour company parks beside our bus and points out the obvious bald tyres and our tour guide just shakes it off. The camp ground is disgusting and hasn’t been cleaned for god knows how long. The showers and toilets are filthy and someone is going to end up with some sought of fungus. We were told we would have sheets, towels, pillows and cases. When we opened up the tent it just looked like someone had just left. We were left to try and figure out where to get clean sheets etc because there was no communication from our Tour Guide. I’ve seen great reviews about Wayne but we found him very rude, unorganised, completely stressed out and hardly any communication. If anything we felt we were just annoying him and he didn’t want us there. We also found there was hardly any commentary about where we were, facts about the place etc. if it hadn’t been for the lovely Tour Guide Trainee Georgie we probably wouldn’t know anything. She was just amazing with her knowledge of the area and just her pleasant personality. Don’t get me wrong we loved the places we went to and if it wasn’t for the great group of people on the tour it would have been disastrous. Steer clear of Adventure Tours.

An amazing tour which exceeded my expectations. First of all Wayno was a great tour guide and he was so knowledgeable about the area, the local indigenous people and people management. His cooking skills were awesome and we were all entranced with every story he told! The bus was comfortable and I was lucky to have some awesome fellow guests on the tour. The sights were obviously amazing but the small touches included made all the difference. A highlight was the tour by Valerie one of the local Anangu people. Another highlight was the bush camping on the final night under the stars, best sleep I’ve had in a while!
Highly recommend and will use adventure tours in the future. Vegemite, vegemite, vegemite.
“Wonders of the Red Centre and Vegemite Kid”
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day trip to Uluru and the Red Centre. Our accommodation was great and sleeping under the stars was an amazing experience. We saw amazing sights that were more than outlined in the Itinerary ( Uluru, Kings Canyon, Ellery Creek and much more) but our highlight was our tour guide Wayne aka The Vegemite Kid. Wayne is a sheer professional in his field. His attention to detail is beyond comprehension. He is always thinking ahead, planning and keeping his crew in the loop. Too boot he is an excellent driver and amazing chef. We loved every meal and couldn’t believe the effort that he put in every day. His knowledge of the area was exceptional and the information we heard about the NT landscape and aboriginal culture was beyond expectation. We are truly grateful to have Wayne as our tour guide for an amazing holiday. Thankyou.

the time with in the outback that I experienced with your company was definitely one of the best in 3 months of travelling. The tour was super, the group lovely, the sights of course tremendous and the food was excellent, considering the circumstances in which it had to be prepared. But the real success I think was very much the doing of Jerry, our tour guide. She is an absolutely awesome person and I hope you know what a gem she is.

1) we've been too little time at Ayers Rock, we almost crossed the planet to get there..., stay there only one day and spending half of that day for a cultural experience with the Natives didn't fulfill our expectation.
2) Toilets were too far at Ayers Rock campsite, it took 10 min walk to get there.

We definitely enjoyed a lot the trip with lost in australia. I have booked two trips : first one was a 3 days tour in Uluru/Australian Outback and the second one Snorkelling Day in the great barrier reef.
I have to say both trips were organised very well with such a fun program.
My only feedbacks for future improvement would be the bus we used for our trip in Alice Springs/Uluru was kind of old and the air conditioning wasn’t very efficient. So we ended up opening the windows and even that was a little bit disturbing because the hot wind was strong and not very pleasant. I booked my trip when it was early summer days so the weather was still tolerable and it wasn’t a big fuss for me. But I guess for other tourists that book the tour in middle hot summer days that would be a horrible experience for them.
Regarding the tour in the great barrier reef. The website didn’t have detailed informations about the tour and especially regarding diving protocols. For example, we didn’t know we couldn’t use our cameras during the first dive or you can’t take a flight during 24 hours . I know those are general informations about diving that tourist should know before booking, but if they were mentioned in the tour guide details it would be helpful for beginners.
I have to say also that the food was great and I loved that the tour offers a unique traveling experience where people have to cooperate together and cook together. This helped in bonding relationships among us.

The tour was good, with a good guide, however we didn't really have much idea of what the schedule was - I know it is good to be flexible and not all groups take the same time for different hikes etc, but a bit more information would be good - then if anyone wanted to stay on the bus for a bit or miss something out, perhaps if they didn't sleep well, that would be easier for them to think about. I was keen to do some sketches and paintings so a timetable would've helped that. On one case I chose a shorter walk to get more time to do a picture, only for the rest of the group to be quicker than expected so I didn't finish my picture - not a big issue and I understand I can't expect the group to wait for me but I did ask about this when booking and got told there was time to sit and look as well as hike.
overall I enjoyed it and would recommend lost to others, just give us more information - and the photos!

Overall I had the most magical week with the Lost in Australia tour!
We had two tours for Alice Springs/Uluru and Alice Springs to Darwin. The tour guide on the second leg - Rowdy deserves a special mention - he was unreal and really made our trip!

Trip was great, tours were amazing, people were lovely.
At our nights accommodation in Alice Springs, I was told that there was no room for me in the female shared dorm, with the 2 other women I was travelling with + I had to go into a mixed dorm.
I was extremely upset, I tried to find alternative accommodation but everything was booked.
I had to share a room with 3 men.
Not at all happy and neither was my husband when he found out.
I realise this was not your fault, but the hostel was not even apologetic in fact tried to say you guys didn't book me in until the following night.
So that was very disappointing but everything else was great.
