- 20 nights — hostels at Byron Bay, Surfers Paradise, Noosa, Airlie Beach, Magnetic Island and Cairns, two nights camping on K'gari, two nights in a shared cabin sailing the Whitsundays, and two nights on overnight buses.
Transport
- Bus passes between towns, booked for you before you travel, plus the ferry across to Magnetic Island. The day tours run their own transport — a 4WD on K'gari, and boats in the Whitsundays and on the reef.

This would have been a major pain for us to plan ourselves and Lost in Australia took care of every detail, from transportation to booking the tours. The Greyhound buses were all organized, and the guides were super knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the food on the tours, and snorkeling at the reef was easily the highlight of the trip. It was a good deal for the money.
