With a maximum of 12 guests, Adventurer offers a 2 day 2 night Catamaran tour around the Whitsunday Islands. This tour is most popular with the 18-35s and young at heart markets who want a relaxed small group sailing and snorkelling experience.
Our catamaran offers comfortable sailing and a spacious interior and a range of deck space. There is plenty of time and flexibility at each stop. Featuring kayaks, stand up paddle boards and even a heated spa on the foredeck, there is something for everyone on this tour.

The team here were so helpful I had to leave s review. They helped me to book Adventurer which was brilliant. I forgot to confirm48 hours before but they sorted it all out for me. Helped store luggage and sort me out with a mini zip free bag.

“The most amazing trip on the Adventurer Catamaran”
I had the most amazing trip on the Adventurer Catamaran which was a 2 day 2 night tour. I am terrified of water and cannot swim but this was not an issue for our skipper Shannon and first mate Siobhan to sort. They made me feel so at ease and got me in the water snorkelling to view the amazing marine life. The weather was perfect and even got the opportunity to spot some Whales as well as sit back and relax at Whitehaven beach. The cabin was spotless at all times and Siobhan was one hell of a cook! I wanted a chilled out vibe and that’s exactly what I got with a great group of people around me from all over the world. All the staff couldn’t do enough for us and made the entire experience plain sailing. Would highly recommend and I will be back one day with my friends in tow!
“Relaxing trip”
Husband and I were lucky to aboard Goldie and Joel's adventurer! It was a wonderful trip, we both had a great time. It was relaxed and with just about the right amount of activities we wanted as a holiday trip. Fully enjoyed Goldie's story time on board and she was also very patient with my husband as he tries to master the paddle board, giving him lots of assistance and help, very patient. Joel took great care of all of us and made us wonderful food. Very fortunate to meet these awesome individuals, and would love to go back again!
“MAIDEN VOYAGE - for all of us”
Five "young at heart" friends recently booked the trip on the Adventurer for 3d2n.
Part of the deal was accommodation at Nomads. This was a first time at a backpackers for some of us. After a mix up we got a 8 bed dorm to ourselves. But that is another review.
We initially had a few problems. Dropped off nowhere near where we needed to be.
But again, another review.
We had a bit of a mix up with luggage storage, with varying ideas from Nomads and the booking office, however, after getting this organised, we waited in anticipation on the wharf.
We were eventually met my Joshy. What a cool guy. So laid back he's almost dead.
hahaha. He broke the ice immediately, and after initial instructions, we five Gold Coast ladies were mixed in with a young couple from Italy, another young couple from Germany, and a French gentleman and his two daughters. Hi All!
We were shown to our beds, and us oldies were given the non private bunk beds in the dining/kitchen area. Initially taken aback, we settled in. Our Skipper Goldie (who I will get to later) told us later she was uncomfortable with us old girls (not that she called us that), being where we were, as it meant we could not sleep until everyone decided to. Turns out, it wasn't a problem, as we were the ones partying! Hahaha.
Yes, there are complaints about this situation that I have read, but really, Do you go on a catamaran to sleep all day?
Now I have spoken about Joshy, who was our skippers more than able hand. He kept us entertained, fed, and well, he was just a good bloke. We were pleased (not so secretly) that our skipper was a woman, and our cook a bloke!
While the weather wasn't really on our side, it really did work for us. Light showers on our bushwalk to Whitehaven, then the sun came out for a bit. Could have been way too hot!
What can I say, my expectations were exceeded. Goldie and Joshy promised (how did they come through) that we would see Whales breaching (tick), walk with stingrays (tick), see dolphins (tick), swim with turtles (tick), not to mention having a visit by Terry the stoned turtle (tick) Wow Wow Wow.
Good was amazing.
Goldie and Josh were amazing. What we saw was amazing. The whole thing was amazing, and on our last day we found out that it was Goldie's maiden voyage, and we were her guinea pigs. What a delight it was to be her guinea pigs. The night we got back to land we all met at the backpackers and drank shots, and way too many other drinks. Thanks Goldie. Thanks Josh. While the Whitsundays were amazing, and the boat a lot of fun, you two made it.
I could have done without the one minute showers though. hahaha
Cheers, and I really hope to meet you both again, and sail with you both again.
“Great 2 day/2 night tour”
We recently stayed on the Whitsunday adventurer for 2 nights over the labour day weekend and had a great trip! Staff were great-Simon looked after the boat & excursions whilst Goldie looked after us and both did an excellent job! They went out of their way to find good snorkel spots which were in short supply after Cyclone Debbie, and the food was particularly good! Only negative was our bed wasn't v comfortable, except for that it is a 5 star review!
“Amazing Experience!!”
Just returned from the 2day/2night trip on Whitsunday Adventurer and what an amazing trip it was.
We were blessed with great weather and got to enjoy sailing the boat through the islands.
Paul, our skipper was fantastic he was so knowledgeable about the islands and spoke so passionately about the area.
Our host Chris was equally great and served up some fantastic meals.
The boat was amazing, extremely comfortable and spacious.
We got to see the beautiful Whitehaven beach and with some impeccable timing from our crew we were the first people to the lookout in the morning and the first to step out on the beautiful beach!!
Unfortunately due to the cyclone a lot of the snorkelling spots weren't what they used to be but we were taken to one place that was really beautiful. You could see the damage that the cyclone had done but there was still some great coral and marine life there.
The paddle boards and clear canoe were a great additional extra and our final morning was spent on them and relaxing on the boat.
Thanks for a fantastic trip!! Can't wait to come back!!
“Impressive catamaran”
We booked this Catamaran for our Whitsundays sailing adventure and we had a great time, this one slept 12 in total and was an impressive catamaran, we had a really smooth few days out at sea with plenty of space on the deck for sunbaking etc. We had pre booked a private cabin which I would recommend, especially as a couple. There is no aircon so when we visited in March 2017 it was the hottest with no breeze, basically we were welcomed on board advising it was flat as a pancake out there and it would be hot, but the staff on board would do what they could to make it as comfortable as possible. We actually thought the catamaran we booked had aircon (my bad) so we had a tiny fan above our heads which we thought was hilarious again as we thought we had booked an airconditioned trip but this was our own fault, but we slept fine and woke up ready for more action the next day. We had a great group of people onboard and we all got on, mixed ages, but I would say the ages ranged from 18 - 38 approx. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my 30th birthday it was magical! This tour offered the right size of boat with the right number of people, and it was very enjoyable. Adrian and Scott were fantastic we got on so well with them! Adrian even persuaded me to go snorkelling when I was so tired and I am glad I did as he waited close by with the small transport boat incase I wanted back to the Catamaran before the others. Thank you Adrian and Scott you made our trip!
“Had an amazing time”
Went with my husband and 3 friends (all of us are aged 27!) - it was so relaxing! Its not a party boat - we knew it wasnt going to be, if youre looking for that then Powerplay is probably better...but we met some lovely people. If we had wanted to stay up really really late and blast music it probs wouldnt have been the best trip cos we felt bad being noisy for other guests who had gone to sleep. The food was tasty (breakfast, snacks, tap water, coffee/tea, lunch and dinners - plenty of food so you won't go hungry), they catered for the vegetarians too. The snorkelling spots were really good (saw loads of fish and coral, and a stingray and some people saw turtles), the weather was INCREDIBLE and it was great to just chill/sunbathe/watch the sunsets. It didnt look as packed as some other boats either, with people spread between the top, front deck and back deck it was spacious enough. I would pay extra for a private cabin like we did cos u get a proper double bed too and youre not sleeping in the main living area or in bunks outside the toilet (which also would have been ok to be honest). There were 2 toilets and one shower which was fine for 12 people cos you're only allowed 1 minute showers, there was also an outdoors shower on the back deck u could use to rinse off. There was a tiny spa pool on the front deck which was nice at night under the stars. The boat has a clear double kayak, 2 stand up paddleboards, and snorkel gear with wetsuits for everyone. U get taken to one swimming spot, 3 snorkelling spots, Whitehaven beach, a "bush walk" and lookout, so theres lots to do! And Mick and Ant were great as skipper and host - thanks for making our trip so memorable :)

My fiancé and I had an amazing time on our two day tour on the adventurer. The crew were fun and knowledgeable and the food exceeded my expectations. The skippers, Cas and Mick, took us to some beautiful spots for snorkelling and knew so much about all the wildlife in the area. Whitehaven beach was by far the most amazing beach I have seen. I would highly recommend this to anyone. There were couples, friends and solo travellers so it was great for all.
“One of the best things I have ever done”
Went on the 2 days/ 2nights whitsunday tour. The atmosphere was perfect and absolutely brilliant. Loved cruising around in the light blue seas with the perfect music being played, to the stargazing at night. The staff were amazing being daimo (skipper) and Jas (host), couldn't of asked for a better time. I highly recommend this trip as it's perfect and lots to see and do.

The 2-day / 2-night cruise on the "Adventurer" was definately the best part of our recent trip to Australia. The catamaran hosts a maximum of 12 people + 2 crew. The food was really good and available in abundance. Ideal for couples and / or people who want a nice and quiet trip, as the adventurer is not a party boat as most of the others. Definately book the private room option, as the other beds are either in the main cabin (6 people) or next to the toilet. A full size shower and two toilets are available on board (1 minute per day max.). Our room and the toilets were very clean nd nice.
A great plus is the fact that our Skipper looked like Brad Pitt, thank you Damien!
“2 night cruise on Adventurer”
My partner and I booked the adventurer online for a two night three day cruise. We were a little apprehensive at first as we had heard a lot about the "party boats" and were keen to avoid these.
Adventurer did not disappoint. There were twelve of us on the boat and most were couples in their mid to late twenties. Moxy the skipper and Claire the "deckie" were fantastic: enthusiastic, fun and always professional. The boat was well laid out though would highly recommend the private double if available. We were fed like kings with great food. We had the opportunity to snorkel twice a day and visited Whitehaven beach with plenty of time there to relax on the white sand. the boat was bring your own alcohol and it was great winding down from a busy day with a few drinks on deck with the sun setting. Overall a really great trip and just the thing if you are looking for a relaxing time!
“Had a fabulous 2 days”
Here is what I experienced. The crew is young, but capable. The host, Jaz was extremely bubbly and friendly. Our Skipper Ritch was competent and safety focused with a good customer service attitude as well. There were 12 people on the boat, one group of 6 women from France, and a couple from Spain and a couple from Italy. My colleague/friend shared a cabin and bed. Some of the sleeping bunks were in the main room. The food was good, not gourmet but certainly exceeded my expectations. Chicken curry the first night with salad and fresh bread and lasagna with more salad on the second night. There was way too much food, although if the boat was full of men as opposed to having only 3 men, there might have been less food leftover.
The activities were great. I paddled boarded for the first time and with encouragement from Ritch I even managed to stand and didn't fall. The snorkeling was good. This was also a first for me so I have no comparison. I suspect it's not the best snorkeling in the world at these particular locations but they were great to me. Lots of fish. The corral was hit or miss and not as colourful as I hoped. Not complaining but wanted to put it out there. Lots of dead coral, but hey, climate change isn't a thing.
A few things to keep in mind, it's 14 people on a boat and 2 toilets, one shower. Showers are to be under 1min due to water ration. I didn't take a shower so I can't comment on it. When the engine was going, the lower decks/my cabin smelled of fuel. By the end of the trip, the toilet holding tank was smelling pretty strong of whatever chemical is in them. Not unexpected, but thought I would mention it to know to expect it.
I'm from Canada so the weather and water were fabulously warm as far as I am concerned but not all agreed with me. The evenings/nights were cool if we were on the move as the wind was quite chilly.Bring a thicker layer or wind breaking layer.
All in all I give it 5 stars for a fab 2 days out on the water. None of the passengers were rude or obnoxious, all went to bed early and so that helped as well. I would recommend this trip if you are interested in snorkeling and getting out on the water for 2 days. Well worth the price. It is a great deal as far as I am concerned.
“Amazing”
Spent 2 nights on the Whitsunday Adventurer. It was amazing. There were only 12 people on our boat, plus our captain and first mate. Our ages ranged from 21 to 50. Not a party boat, but not boring by any standards. We sailed, snorkelled, kayaked, paddle boarded and went to whitehaven beach. Like all the boats it was BYOB.
Food was good quality, cabin clean and comfy - we paid extra for a private cabin. Hot tub on deck.
Captain knew great snorkelling spots, places to watch sunset, dolphins and turtles. He was really friendly and fun, whilst still being responsible. First mate - excellent job on the food.
Would definitely recommend.

“Wings 3”
myself and a friend ages 24 did the wings 3 sailing adventure. it was 3 days 2 nights around whitsundays. you will have the most amazing time!! our boat ended up being 25 females which was the first time they had ever seen that, which was actually really fun as we were not worried about looking after ourself, just walked around no make etc. the first day we decided to do scuba diving which was amazing and then a snorkle straight after. the next day we went to whitehaven early in the morning which is my favourite place in australia and coming from an aussie thats a big thing!! it is unlike anything youve ever seen. then snorkling again in the arfternoon whgile stopping at a desserted beach to watch the sunset. the following morning a small group of us went snorkling again and do not miss this snorkle oppurtunity as there were so many turtles!!
overall the trip was amazing. the crew were so nice and cruisy, the food was amazing and i felt like i never stopped eating. the beds and showers are ok (30 second showers) but who cares when ur sailing around the ocean. i would definitely recommend this for any young adults who want to see the most beautiful beach in Australia!
