Itinerary
Experience Hobart’s best day trip!
Arguably Tasmania's best day trip! At the end of this day, you will understand why the tourist numbers have doubled in the past 4 years! Bruny Island has a little bit of everything mainland Tasmania has - world class beaches, national parks, rugged coastline and native wildlife matched with the finest local produce from the ocean and the land.
While its impossible to do everything in one day, we have designed various tours to fit in with the day’s weather conditions so we can provide the most enjoyable experience. You can expect an active (easy/moderate level) morning with nature walks, albino wallaby spotting, spectacular scenery lookouts, exploring pristine beaches and lagoon (swimming optional). This tour takes you off the beaten track and into areas that are only accessible by walking tracks that only locals know about.
After an adventurous morning, it will be time to pull it back a gear as we head for lunch to either the Bruny Hotel, Cafe, or winery (Lunch at own cost) many options to suit budgets and dietary requirements. After lunch, unwind and relax as we sample some award winning local produce. Berries, chocolate fudge, cheese, beverages and oysters are all possibilities (time pending and at own cost)!

Some of the things you can expect to see and do with Bruny Island Tour:
Tempered Rainforest walk
This casual walk will take you through a lush rainforest that runs alongside the relaxing Waterfall Creek.
This easy, twenty minute walk will allow you to take in the beautiful scenery and peaceful ambience of the rainforest whilst breathing in some of the freshest air Tasmania has to offer.
Picturesque beaches
Bruny Island is home to countless beaches, each as picturesque as the other.
Be prepared to be in awe of their natural beauty, clear water and pristine sand as you visit some of our favourite beaches on the island.
We will bring along our bat and ball if you are up for a game of beach cricket!
Viewing platform at the Neck.
Here is your next Instagram shot! Arguably the most iconic and most recognised landmark on the island, the lookout at the Neck never fails to disappoint.
Walk up the 279 timber steps to be rewarded with breathtaking 360 degree views of the island. Alongside the spectacular views, keep an eye out in the dunes for some burrows, fairy penguins and mutton birds nest here!
Wildlife spotting
Keep on the lookout! Bruny Island is a haven for a variety of Tasmania’s unique native wildlife. Perhaps the most special is the albino wallaby, a rare species that is thriving on the island.
Keep your cameras at the ready on our walks and when we take you to a secret spot that the illusive albino wallaby is known to visit. You never know your luck!
Walking tracks (active level)
Depending on the days forecast, the track we choose to take you on will vary. Rest assured that each track offers something unique to experience.
From visiting the second tallest sea cliffs in Australia and the spectacular views they offer to exploring secluded beaches to soaking up amazing views from panoramic lookouts, you are sure to be impressed.
These walks vary in duration and require a moderate level of fitness.
Cape Bruny Light house
Located at the southern tip of the island, the convict built Cape Bruny Lighthouse is now the second oldest lighthouse tower in Australia (1836).
Whilst visiting, soak up the gorgeous views of the southern ocean and the rugged sea cliffs that form the coastline of Cape Bruny.
Lunch stop
Our lunch stop will be at one of two locations depending on the day.
Based on which location we choose to eat lunch, you will have the option of purchasing either fish and chips or a tasty toasted sandwich.
If you would prefer to bring your own lunch for the day, you are more than welcome to.
Sample award winning food
If the natural beauty of the island isn’t enough, Bruny has a range of gourmet produce that is guaranteed to please every food lover.
We will be stopping at a variety of locations where you can meet the locals and sample* their mouth watering produce on offer.
Potential tastings include: berries, cheese, chocolate, fresh oysters, wine, beer and cider.
Swimming (weather permitting)
Be sure to pack your bathers and towel, if the weather is kind we will be able to take you for a swim*.
Like our walking tracks, we have a variety of picturesque swimming locations to choose from depending on the day’s outlook.
From jumping into the fresh ocean, bodysurfing waves or enjoying the serenity of peaceful lagoons and canals, each of our locations offer a unique and enjoyable experience.
If swimming isn't for you, enjoy a relaxing stroll along the sandy beaches, explore rock pools or just sit back and relax and soak up your surroundings.
*Swimming is at own risk.

Who travels with us
Is this tour for me?
Our tours are made up of small groups with a range of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Generally people who travel with us are between 20 and 49, though we also get alot passengers much older onboard - everyone is welcome! On tour we get equally as many males as females and everyone shares an enthusiasm for the out doors, nature, adventure and culture. Our tours are for those wanting to really explore and share the experience with likeminded travellers. Whether we are camping by a billabong in Kakadu National Park or sharing a cabin in Tasmania, our travellers want more than just a site seeing tour. They are chasing a hands on group experience. The trips are packed with many highlights and the pace can be fast. There may be some long drives and passengers should expect to help out when setting up camp or cooking food - this is a group adventure. However, there’s always time to chill out, have a cold beer ( or wine! ) and soak up your surroundings. As always, if in doubt then contact us directly with your concerns.

What is the weather like in Tasmania?
Tasmania weather has four distinct seasons. The warmest months are December, January, February and March. Autumn (Fall) has many sunny days and the landscape produces a mass of colour as 200 year-old oaks, elms, birches and Tasmania’s own native beech, turn from gold to red in preparation for winter. Winter runs from May through August. Spring spans September, October and November, and brings oceans of wildflowers. The average summer temperatures sit between 17 and 23 degrees Celsius (62 and 73 degrees Fahrenheit) and in winter, between 3 and 11 degrees Celsius (37 and 51 degrees Fahrenheit). Tasmania’s location below the 40th parallel means the summer evenings display a lingering twilight
Reviews
“Our second tour with Tassie tours, and definitely our favourite.”
We went to Hastings caves and Tahune airwalk with a final stop over at Franks cider house. Jodie was our guide and the long drive was made interesting by Jodie sharing some history and knowledge of the local areas. I found Jodie very genuine in her interactions with the group. A very professional, considerate and knowledgeable guide and I felt safe and reassured the whole time. My favourite part of the tour was our final stop at Franks cider house, where we all relaxed and chatted over some cider tastings and house made apple pie. A lovely experience to meet new people, learn and explore tassie without having to worry about driving !
“Really recommend it :))”
Andrew the tour guide was absolutely phenomenal, always had a warm smile on and very knowledgeable about everything around us. It's evident that he loves what he does and was such a lovely familiar face to see for both of our tours. The Bruny island tour was so beautiful and wholesome complete by Andrew's close knowledge of the place and the locals, he was able to show us all the prettiest spots and ensured we all had big tired smiles by the time we got back to the city. The Port Arthur trip was just brilliant with Andrew's commentary as we passed significant spots including Neil the Seal's town. Couldn't have asked for a better local perspective to show us around for our stay!
“Highly recommended.”
We enjoyed your awesome tour of Bruny Island. Mark was extremely knowledgeable, informative and fun.
“Had the best experience tours with Tassie Tours”
. All tour guides were knowledgeable and great fun to be with. Shared interesting stories about every stop we’d been that caught my interest instantly. Defo recommend Tassie Tours! Thanks so much for such an amazing experience and to show how great Tasmania is!
“Thank you for a lovely day out!”
Went on a day trip out to Port Arthur. Our driver Bunzy was very knowledgeable and humourous 🤣
“I would definitely recommend this company for a tour!!!”
Bunzy is an amazing guide! He is so engaged and funny!! And also know a looot about the island telling fun facts and stories. On the second day we went with Anni she is fascinated by animals and knows all the facts. Very friendly and helpful.
“ We enjoyed it thoroughly, thanks Gerard!”
We had a lovely day touring around Port Arthur! Our tour guide Gerard was knowledgeable and friendly
“The extra tour was also super fun with no mishaps !”
Our Bruny Island day trip took an unexpected turn when our tour vehicle was on a narrow road and ended up stuck in a ditch in order to avoid an oncoming truck. It could’ve been a stressful experience, but it turned into one of the most impressive displays of customer care I’ve ever seen. Though we had to wait for help (about 3 hours due to limited signal), the owner personally came to assist us, provided everyone with a free lunch, refunded the entire tour, and even offered an additional tour at no cost. It really showed how much this company values its guests and stands behind their service. No one was hurt, and our guide handled the situation with safety in mind. Things happen, but it’s how people respond that matters—and this company went above and beyond. If I could give 100 stars, I would. A memorable day, and a reminder of the kindness and professionalism you’ll find in Tasmania. P.s. this kind of stuff happens very rarely so please don't be afraid to book them !
“I’ll definitely recommend the Bruny Island tour with Tassie tour”
All the stops along the island completely worth it. The acknowledge and humor of Bunzy made this tour one of the greatest experiences in Tassie!
“Did the Bruny day tour today.”
Jodi was knowledgeable, fun and easy going. The whole day ran smoothly and on time from pick up to drop off.
“Thank you Patrick for your help! Really appreciate that!”
A couple of days ago I joined their “Day tour to Burney Island”, unfortunately things happen and we were really disappointed how the drivers handle the situation. Long story short, we meet patrick who own the company. He is really humble and helpful.
“It truly felt like we were exploring with a friend!”
We had a fantastic time on the Bruny Island tour, thanks to Jodi’s friendly and caring guidance. She brought each site to life with her knowledge of its history, geology, and environment, and looked after us thoughtfully by reminding us about meals, snacks, and upcoming washroom stops.
“Highly recommend!”
Had a fantastic day touring Hastings Caves, Tahune Airwalk and the Huon Valley. Jodie was friendly guide full of great stories and local knowledge. Everything ran smoothly and on time but never felt rushed. Highlights were the cider tasting at Frank’s and exploring the caves. The convenient pick-up and drop-off made it all the more relaxed.
“Did the Bruny Island day tour with the fabulous Andrew. ”
He brought local knowledge and insights including taking us to some off the track spots and making sure we saw an elusive albino wallaby! Great way to see Bruny if you’re short on time/ don’t want to hire a car.
“You won't be disappointed .”
This was one of the highlights of our three week vacation . Our host, Nathan was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. We got beautiful pictures of some phenomenal places. “Highly recommend this tour, particularly with Mark.”
My partner and I took the Bruny Island tour with Mark. It was spectacular! Not only was the transport comfortable and efficient and the sites beautiful, but Mark went above and beyond to make sure that everyone had a great time. He even returned a lost hat to us after the tour had finished!
“We really enjoy.”
Me and my wife made today the tour to wine Glass bay and Freicynet, was wonderful! Gino our tour guide is very friendly throwing interesting facts about the region all the time and most importantly he really take care of you during your trip. The trip itself is full of nice views with great options from a hard hike to Mt Amos( weather permits) or a nice seafood lunch( no time to do both) but depends on what’s your thing.
“It’s an experience that brings so much joy!”
Our tour was truly wonderful, and Neithan was an exceptional guide. We genuinely had a fantastic time and would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to others.
“Alex our tour guide was great. ”

“Really recommend it!!!”
This was our first trip to Tasmania and this Bruny Island tour was most memorable! There are good tour guides and then there are exceptional tour guides. Our guide, Andrew, was above and beyond with his local knowledge. Some of our stops felt like true hidden gems. Plus Andrew's ability to maneuver the small tour bus in some very confined spaces was impressive. We would definitely use Tassie Tours again - many thanks for a truly memorable experience!
“Highly recommended this tour and Tassie Tours!”
We did the Port Arthur tour. It was so much more than a bus trip. We stopped at beautiful and interesting places there and back. Our driver Mark obviously loves his job which shows. He is very knowledgeable of places of interest and engaged with everyone on the bus. Added bonus was being picked up and dropped off at our hotel.
“Wow!!!!”
We had a great tour on Bruny Island. Lots of stops along the way to see great scenery and enjoy delicious food. The oysters were large, tasty and a good deal.

Tassie Tours!!! Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou, for an awesome day!! Andrew you are a legend and my partner and I, had the best day. Thankyou for sharing all your knowledge and hidden gems for us to see. We booked last minute and it was the best decision we made. Thankyou to Patrick, for helping us make that last minute decision, at your stand, at the harbour, super easy haha We got to see so many cool places and lots of laughs along the way. “Simply amazing!”
Nathan was awesome! We had an amazing day at Bruny Island! I definitely recommend.
“Excellent!”
I did 1 day tours with Tassie tours in October 2025, Hobart Highlights & Bruny Island. Both were brilliant - a really great way to see this end of the island. Our tour guide, Mark, was excellent - full of knowledge and a lot of fun. A true Aussie. I’d definitely recommend this tour operator and would use them again if/when I next come back to Tas.
“. I would highly recommend Tassie Tours.”
First time in Tasmania. My husband and I booked Tassie tours for a day in Hobart. Mark, our driver, was great, friendly and well knowledgeable
“It was truly a wonderful experience. ”
We booked two trips with Tassie Tours, and both exceeded our expectations. Our driver, Mark, was exceptionally kind and engaging throughout the journey. He created a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that everyone on the bus felt included and comfortable. Mark took the time to address each group individually, which made the experience feel very personal and enjoyable. Overall, Tassie Tours provided an excellent service, and we would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Tasmania.
“Definitely recommend Tassie Tours.”
We had two private tours, first was Cradle Mountain tour from Launceston and second was Bruny Island Tour from Hobart. Tassie Tours was so easy and friendly to deal with. The reservations team - I had the privilege of being assisted by Lachlan, Matilda, Isabel, and Amy, were awesome incredible superstars. The tour guides, Mark and Geno were world's best guides - so friendly, helpful and understanding.
“Thank you!!”
This was my first time in Tasmania. I booked two tours with Tassie Tours, the Port Arthur and the Hastings Cave andTahune Walk back in June 2025. Would highly recommend, on both trips we had really knowledgable tour guides who explained the history of Hobart and both were able to answer all queries we had with the trips and in general. Huge thanks to Geeno, he was a great guide, was really helpful he even gave us great recommendations and helped us out with other activities for Hobart. We had a really good time at the caves managed to get to all destinations and even had time to stop for a slice of apple pie. Transportation was comfortable, to the point we were both knackered and feel asleep on the drive back. If ever in the area would highly recommend to take a Tassie Tour.
“Enchanting!”
Absolutely loved Bruny Island. Amazing scenery. Perfect for nature lovers. Very well-organized tour and tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
“Best experience ever!”
The Bruny Island full day tour was well organized. Alex performed an excellent service of not only taking care of every passengers on the minivan but also telling us about the history, economics and some side stories about this island. Travelling with Tassie Tours is highly recommended, and even better with the tour guide Alex.
“We had a fantastic time ”
I love the tour. Pascal is a passionate local guide about his home town. Take enough time to walk Hobart, is awesome!
“ Love your work Jodi, ya legend ”
Went on a tour to Bruny Island on my own. Jodi was amazing, the best guide who looked after all of us. She was very knowledgeable, caring and supportive to those of us who needed more encouragement to keep going even when out of breath or a little lost, she was right there. She definitely made my day the best experience which was more than I expected. I will definitely let my networks know which tour company to join when they visit Tassie.
“Thank you!!”
My friends and I had an excellent day travelling around Bruny Island with Tassie Tours. Our guide Andrew was very knowledgeable of the island and was able to show us all the secret spots. The main highlights for me were the honey shop, pub lunch and the ocean views at Truganini lookout. I 100% recommend this tour.
“Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hobart!”
Had a wonderful day with the Port Arthur Shuttle and Tasman Day Tour! The trip was well organised, on time, and very comfortable. Our guide, Coco, was fantastic!! Shes friendly, and made the whole experience enjoyable and easy to follow.
“Really recommend it!!!”
We had an amazing day at Bruny island. Jodi was knowledgeable and accommodating. She made the tour fun and enjoyable for everyone. Bonus was seeing the albino wallabies!
“Would highly recommend.!”
Excellent value day tour to Bruny Island from Hobart with Tassie Tours. This is a review for a tour last July 2024 with tour guide Bunsie. Pickup was on time from Hobart CBD. We enjoyed the drive out to Bruny in our mini van and taking the vehicle ferry across. We bought oysters on the way and stopped at a picnic stop to enjoy. First time trying an oyster! and it was very fresh and I probably won't have them again unless they are this fresh and from the pristine Tassie water! We stopped at the Neck and walked up all the stairs to the lookout but unfortunately the weather closed in on us and we got soaked. We drove around and managed to spot the famous white wallabies. We did a nice little rainforest walk and listened to the birdies. We had a delicious pub lunch at the Bruny Island Hotel / pub (not included). The orders were called in on the way so they were ready for us when we arrived. We stopped at the Lighthouse and most southerly point in the afternoon. My only suggestion is not to stop at the Bruny Island Chocolate shop as the staff was very rude and the chocolate tasted terrible - we all regretted buying. The queue for the ferry on the way back was long so we had to wait about 30 minutes, but Bunsie's stories and banging playlist of 60s and 70s classic rock kept us entertained. Bunsie has also seen Neal the Seal in the flesh! We had an excellent day and were back to Hobart by about 5.30pm.
“Do it!!”
The guide was really friendly and nice giving us very useful pieces of advice. Nice group too. We had a great time in Freycinet. I recommend this tour. Nice fish and chips and ice-cream too.
“Wow!!”
I have travelled twice with Tassie Tours this week and both times have been amazing. Today we went up to Wineglass Bay and with a little effort on my part and a lot of encouragement from Gino, my guide I made it to the lookout! It was well worth the effort. Great company, excellent food stop for lunch. Thanks Tassie Tours, Gino and Sky for a fabulous day out.
“You won’t regret it!!”
We have our day tour to Bruny Island with our lovely tour guide Nathan. Thumb up to him, and thankfully we have seen some wildlife here in Tasmania. As well as we do enjoy the history about Australia and Tasmania. Yeah, we have a good wrap up for our tour with really delicious oysters. Great plan and heartfully thanks, and appreciate for Nathan's plan. Best regards, Amy from Singapore.
“The BEST Tasmanian tour experience!!”
We did a day tour to Port arthur and a day tour to bruny island with Mark and your company.Mark was very knowledgeable, friendly and had a great sense of humour. It was a great 2 days travelling with him and would recommend him and your company highly. 5 stars.
“A good tour of Bruny Island”
What an amazing day. The guide was great fun and the sights and places we visited were incredible. I was offered this tour as the booking I had was cancelled due to weather conditions, so I didn’t know anything about it.
If I can give warnings for people with limited mobility. There are a lot of steps at the neck and a steep path to the lighthouse.
“Tassie 101 in two days”
The tour is a Tassie 101 experience in two days- it covers Tasmanian aboriginals, early settlers, convicts - with strong relevance to the places where we stopped. Tour guide Mark has extensive knowledge of all the topics and his storytelling skills makes it all coming to life. Cradle Mountain is beautiful and we were extremely lucky to see Pademelons, Bennetts wallabies, and of course many wombats. The nature walk was stunning. To finish day one, Mark found us a platypus, right in front of us.
The second day we were handed over to the next Tassie expert, Gino. He guided us up to the Freycinet lookout, explaining local flora and fauna as we went. His in debt knowledge about marine life was incredible. Two fun days with lasting memories.
“Nice experience but a bit pricey and rushed”
Our guide, Bryony, was terrific. Great driver and guide. The attractions were ok but it was rushed at most stops, I think you'd enjoy yourself more by renting a vehicle and/or staying an evening. Good for people who are traveling solo or can't/won't drive, but for 2+ people the value isn't there, imo. If you just want to visit local shops (half the day), Coal River is closer and probably cheaper. I think a hiking tour would be more interesting for Bruny.
“A day in the wild on Bruny.”
Tour guide/Driver Mark was very welcoming and knowledgeable. He provided an historic commentary for much of the trip and combined this with some humorous input. The weather was extreme for much of the day with gale force winds and driving rain broken with patches of sunshine. A wonderful walk through ancient forests of huge tree ferns.and a babbling mountain stream. Lunch in front of the welcoming and warm open fire at the Bruny pub was the perfect tonic. Despite the inclement weather a very enjoyable day.
“wonderful day at bruny island!”
Had a wonderful day at Bruny, where we managed to explore the island in the best way with our tour guide Nathan who was by far one of the best tour guides i had so far. In just one day we managed to see lots of things and Nathan taught us a couple od interesting facts at every stop and entertained us during the few minutes in the car. thank you so much for this experience!
“Unforgettable Bruny experience, expert guidance !!”
Thanks to our young and smart tour guide Mr Nathan our entire day trip to Bruny island went off like a dream . Whether it’s the exotic locations we’d visited (lighthouse, white sand beach, etc) , the small surprises (lagoon , rainforest, etc) or the excellent food joints (Bruny Hotel , Get shucked, etc) we were taken to , the whole experience under his friendly , valuable guidance was most enjoyable in this breathtaking island I’d like to visit all over again !
“Port Arthur tour”
From start to finish, our tour was great, with well-informed guides before and during the tour.
Mark was a wealth of knowledge and engaged with each person on the tour.
“Breathtaking views”
My sister and I visited Tasmania in August 2025, it was cold and bleak, but this tour was fantastic. Wine glass Bay and HoneyMoon Bay were spectacular. It rained a little bit, but we got a double rainbow at honeymoon Bay. Our group was a fun bunch and our guide was also great. He made the tours both fun exciting and was extremely knowledgeable. Thank you for turning our cold bleak Tassie trip into a very memorable one.
“Bruny Island tour”
Great experience. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Interesting walks and covered almost the whole island. It was also a beautiful day.
“A wonderful day !”
Bryony was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable about everything we asked her. She was helpful and accommodated all our needs.
Great day tour! We only had three guest on our tour which was fantastic as it saved time at each spot. Pick up and drop were opposite our hotel so that was fabulous as well.
“Bruny Island and Port Arthur”
Gray was a very nice guide and shared a lot of local knowledge about Bruny Island and Tasmania. Relaxed pace and stunning views
“Wow!!”
An amazing day with alot of places of interest. Gray our driver was awesome. Very informative great driver and nothing was any trouble. 5 stars
“Highly recommend”
Tassie Tours is a good ethical business.
On my day trip, the Tahune air walk was cancelled. The company refunded a portion of our payment for the airwalk, without any prompting from us. I have been cheated by other tour companies before, so I really appreciate this.
Our tour guide (?Juno/Johno/Juneau) was so friendly and kind. I had lost my jacket and it was cold, so he offered me his jackets throughout the day. It's a shame I hesitated asking him to clarify his name.
The rest of the tour, Hasting caves- spectacular and apple pie- great touch to the trip.
Highly recommend Tassie tours in general and this particular tour.
“Cutest guide & best day in Tassie! ”
So happy I joined the Bruny Island full-day tour on my solo trip! It was absolutely amazing — our guide B was gorgeous, super friendly, and full of positive energy! She shared so many fun stories and made the whole day feel special. Thank you for making this trip truly perfect — 100% recommend!
“Lovely trip!”
Amazing guide Jenno made this trip unforgettable!
Beautiful views, good food, wild nature and great talks!
I would highly recommend it
“Perfect One Day Tour”
A fabulous day spent on Bruny Island! Our guide Andrew was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. This tour takes you to so many must see locations with plenty of stunning views. From Adventure Bay, the lighthouse, the little shops and the nature walks, this tour had it all. Didn't see as many white wallabies as I'd have liked but Andrew had a keen eye for the couple we did spot! Probably the best tour to book if you only have one day to explore the island. 5 stars!
“Best driver EVER!!”
Our driver was wonderful! I cant remember his name though he told us twice! He went out of his way to be helpful both with suggestions and with lifting my scooter in and out of the bus. I can’t remember the last time we had such an enjoyable and informative tour.
“Great mix of comfort & adventure”
This tour was great- easy pick up & drop off, comfortable small bus so not a huge group, lots of opportunities to grab meals & drinks. Even though it was a rainy day the Tahune Skywalk and swinging bridges were great fun and felt like an easy way to experience some wilderness- the forest & rivers were spectacular, as was the Hastings Cave. The cave tour was informative, and just the perfect amount of time underground to see all of the dramatic chambers and beautiful formations. Warm apple pie and Cider on the way home were a treat after a day in the rain. Would highly recommend no matter the weather!
“Stunningly beautiful!”
We did the Bruny Island tour with Tassie Tours and it was absolutely fantastic! Our guide, Andrew, was amazing — super knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we saw the best spots on the island. The itinerary was perfectly balanced with stunning viewpoints, beautiful walks, and some truly delicious food and coffee stops along the way. Every view was breathtaking — Bruny Island is simply exquisite! Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tasmania.
“Super relaxed and fun day out”
Best part of my 5 day solo trip to Hobart.
Well paced tour, saw 6-7 parts of Bruny but never felt rushed or not enough time.
Highlights:
- Andrew is a super guy, and just fun to listen to
- must try oysters
- scenic drive
- easy pick up location
- very easy going and friendly group of about 18 people
“Great tour with Tassie Tours!”
We booked a 1 day tour with these folks. Communication with Anna, then later with Jack and Isabel were always prompt and informative. Anna worked very hard with me to fit in most of what were must sees for our trip to Tasmania. Nathan was our guide and he was a great driver as well as knowing the history and culture of the area. He took us to see the fairy penguins, the Tassie Devils at a sanctuary plus lots of beautiful scenery. We also saw the Salamanca market which was fun, and we got oysters at his favorite oyster place. Yum!!
“Excellent!!”
We had a wonderful day exploring Bruny Island with our very friendly and informative tour guide/driver Nathan.
It was a full day of travelling across Bruny Island. From honey shops, the beauty of The Neck, Adventure Bay and the wildness of Cape Bruny Lighthouse.
We had one of the best tasting Seafood linguini pasta dishes with chilli and Olive Oil at the Bruny Hotel and finished it off with oysters at Get Shucked.
Thanks Nathan for a great day!
“Driver told stories and information about the whole trip, excell”
Great trip, driver was great very informative only thing was that the bus went to a different pickup place than the one we were told to and nearly missed it, apart from that was great
“Wonderful tour around Hobart”
Outstanding tour. Great mix of wildlife, scenery, and history. Our guide, Pascal, was fantastic. He is a native of Hobart with an intimate knowledge of the area and was genuinely enthusiastic about passing on this knowledge to us. We had a small group (5 people) and Pascal could juggle the itinerary to take advantage of the nice weather today and our interests. Tassie Tours provided excellent directions for pickup and was very helpful during the booking process. All in all, one of the best day tours I have taken anywhere.
“More than excellent”
Was a wonderful tour, two days in a row with Tassie Tours. Tour guide Sky san was excellent in coordination and all the explanations during the tour, and she has the passion in having the tourists know about wild life. Same as Andrew in the previous tour.
“Well worth a visit”
It was a very nice tour where we at many stops got to experience the beautiful nature and wildlife on the island. The guide Pascal was incredibly knowledgeable and shared his knowledge in a good way.
“Bruny Island Tour”
We had a great day at Bruny Island - so easy to book and the pick up and drop off was excellent. Our guide Andrew made sure we got to see as much as possible with lots of info about the area. The neck and lighthouse are beautiful and don’t miss the honey shop.
“Day trip to Port Arthur”
Great day trip. Our guide Simon was very knowledgeable and friendly. Port Arthur was historic and beautiful. Other sights along the way were beautiful as well.
“Charlotte R”
We had a great day consisted of chocolate, honey, oysters, great views and a fabulous lunch at the Bruny Island hotel highly recommend the lamb ragu pasta!
Mark was our tour guide and driver. He was amazing! Thank goodness as we also had him for our Port Arthur tour and our Mt Wellington Salamanca markets and Richmond tour. Great at his job but I was beginning to think he was the only employee or the business owner I mean three days in a row same guide has to be unheard of!? Highly recommend Hobart is stunning.
“Great day out”
Our guide Andrew was really great. So knowledgeable and cracking jokes left right and centre. Great day, the rain didn’t ruin anything as the views were amazing. Andrew took us to some cool secret lookouts and locations which was cool. Would defo do it again! Thanks Andrew!!!
“Fantastic Experience”
We had a fantastic day with Jodi. Really enjoyed the tour lots to see and enjoy. Great value for money as well. Good to see local wildlife and learn lot of local knowledge from our expert guide
“Fantastic bruny island tour with tour guide Jodi”
My daughter and I went on the Bruny Island tour. It was a fantastic tour and our tour guide Jodi was amazing. I highly recommend.
“Hobart Tour”
Best tour I’ve ever been on. Skye the stunner was so accommodating. And she is pretty. 6 stars. So informative and learnt a lot.
“Trip up mt welly”
Excellent trip up the mountain Wellington with the tour operator Skye
She looked after us well and knew everything loca
“Fun and educational trip to Bruny Island”
I joined a tour group to explore Bruny Island, guided by a local (Andrew) who actually grew up there, which made the experience all the more authentic and fascinating.
I was in awe of Bruny Island’s history and natural beauty. It holds deep significance in both Aboriginal and European exploration, played a role in early colonial settlement, and once thrived through various industries.
The island is also teeming with wildlife. We spotted wallabies, pademelons (which look like larger quokkas), and muttonbirds, among others.
When it comes to flora, we even got to taste some native plants: pepperberry leaf, which packed a real punch of spice, and sassafras, which made my tongue tingle and go slightly numb like Sichuan peppercorns. The trip wrapped up perfectly with a stop for freshly shucked oysters. If “farm to table” celebrates local produce, Bruny Island takes it further with “tide to table,” since the oyster farm sits literally just across the road from where we ate.
Definitely a must-do day trip when in Hobart. Thanks again to our guide, Andrew, for this amazing trip!
“Absolutely Fantastic Day in Hobart with Skye!”
Our Hobart Highlights Day Tour with Skye from Tassie Tours was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we hopped on the bus, Skye set the tone with her warm personality, sharp wit, and infectious enthusiasm. She managed to balance being both incredibly funny and deeply informative — sharing fascinating insights about Hobart’s history, culture, and hidden gems in a way that kept everyone engaged and entertained.
What really stood out was Skye’s ability to read the group and tailor the day to our interests and energy levels. She was so accommodating, checking in with us often and happily adjusting little things along the way to make sure everyone had the best experience possible. Despite that flexibility, she still kept us on track with the itinerary — we saw and experienced everything promised, without ever feeling rushed.
From stunning views to delicious local treats and a few delightful surprises, the whole day felt perfectly paced and thoughtfully curated. Skye’s passion for Tasmania and her pride in sharing it with others truly shine through.
If you’re considering a Hobart highlights tour, don’t hesitate — go with Skye! You’ll laugh, learn, and fall in love with this beautiful part of the world.
“Amazing day, great guides”
On the first day of the tour, I was the only participant, so I had a "private tour" to the Cradle Mountains. The guide Chris asked me what I really wanted to do and see and tried to make that possible :-). The Cradle Mountains are amazing. On the second day, I joined another tour in Launceston to Wineglass Bay with Skye as guide. She ane the group were so funny, really enjoyed the day.
Before you book: Be aware that this tour starts in Hobart and brings you to Launceston on the first day, return to Hobart on the second day and you have to book the accomodation accordingly. Its not very clear on tripadvisor.
“Worth Booking!!”
We had such an amazing experience and a huge part of that was thanks to Nathan! From start to finish, Nathan was genuine, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the whole trip feel personal and engaging, and it was clear how passionate he is about what he does.
We enjoyed every part of the tour, but our favourite stop was definitely the Neck. It was fascinating, and Nathan’s deep knowledge really brought the history and beauty of the place to life.
Thank you, Nathan, for making our trip so memorable you truly made the experience what it was!
Honey stop was great as well.
“Great”
Great way to see the island and a short amount of time, Jodi is such a legend. Had a fantastic time and the oysters were
“Good tour and very informative relating to the areas we visited”
Skye was excellent tour guide with good customer skills
Made the day very enjoyable with her wealth of knowledge relating to the areas we visited
“Relaxing, informative and fun.”
Relaxing tour to Port Arthur. On time, kept to the schedule without being rushed.
Skye was informative, personable, knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable. She related well to all people on the tour. For me, it was a much better option than hiring a car and was totally relaxed the whole day.
“A great tour of a beautiful little island.”
This trip was a great day of sightseeing at Bruny Island. Our tour guide Mark was friendly and knowledgeable about the island and took us to quite a few “off the beaten path” spots. The trip included lots of stops at food places (each at an additional cost), all of which were good and showcased the fresh produce of bruny. Although this tour included a lots of time sat in a bus (albeit with beautiful views of bruny), there was still opportunities to get out into nature and soak up what bruny had to offer - great if you are just here for a short time.
“Bruny Island Cruise”
Our guide, Jordy, was knowledgeable and witty, clearly reflecting his roots on, and love of, Bruny Island. The cruise itself was spectacular. Aside from the natural beauty of the island's coastline, we saw fur seals on rocks and in the water, a humpback whale spouting, dolphins and tuna swimming and jumping through the water, and many kinds of birds. Breakfast tea and lunch were tasty and served by friendly, attentive staff.
“Learn about old and new Tasmania”
Mark made this trip. Excellent guide who made everyone feel like his mate and we were part of his family. Also very knowledgeable. Times were well spaced, not rushed but not drawn out.
“A grand Bruny day out”
Andrew showed us around his childhood home with lots of great anecdotes.
Great mix of travel in the bus to see as much as we could in a day with opportunities to get out and walk a bit and capture some great photos.
Pub was warm and friendly and food looked good although we'd taken a packed lunch.
Interesting stops at the honey and chocolate shops and Get Schucked was a great mid afternoon snack. Tried my first ever oyster washed down with a delicious dry sparkling wine.
“A stunning day”
It was an amazing experience. So much to see and do. Lots of stops to experience so many different aspects of the island - our driver Andrew was so knowledgeable and really tailored the day brilliantly especially with the weather being so changeable. The views were fabulous and to see the white wallabies was such a joy. The group atmosphere was relaxed and I think the tour was good value for money.
“Bill is the best”
William (Bill) was absolutely fantastic.
He made this trip seamless and tasting all the wines easy for us. When I come back to tassie, I’ll be asking for Bill again!
“Bill is the best Stunning, best tour, great recommendations, ama”
William did the absolute best job!!!! - Wine Hopper Coal Valley Day Trip. We did the whole day trip. Great customer service. 100% recommend booking this tour (&I am fussy)
“So much fun!”
A couple of days ago I joined their “Day tour to Burney Island”, unfortunately things happen and we were really disappointed how the drivers handle the situation. Long story short, we meet patrick who own the company. He is really humble and helpful. Thank you Patrick for your help! Really appreciate that!
“Kudos!”
Great tour to Bruny island. Had several stops including chocolate shop and a winery and the lighthouse. Our driver was funny and very informative
“Fantastic Experience!”
Highly recommend!
“Great time”
Did the Bruny Island day tour with the fabulous Andrew. He brought local knowledge and insights including taking us to some off the track spots and making sure we saw an elusive albino wallaby! Great way to see Bruny if you’re short on time/ don’t want to hire a car.
“AMAZING! ”
Had the best experience tours with Tassie Tours. All tour guides were knowledgeable and great fun to be with. Shared interesting stories about every stop we’d been that caught my interest instantly. Defo recommend Tassie Tours! Thanks so much for such an amazing experience and to show how great Tasmania is!
“Thanks again”
My partner and I enjoyed the trip. We love the extremely fresh oysters, cheese tasting, the honey outlet and all the beautiful scenarios that were breathtaking. Lunch stop offered amazing delicious seafood chowder and others, must try!
“Woah!”
We had a great time in Tassie. Our guide, Jodi was very friendly, helpful and informative. The transport was also clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Tassie Tours / Charter a Bus to friends and family that are planning / going to visit Tasmania.
“Really recommend it!!”
I booked the Bruny Island day tour at the very last minute, which was late night before the actual tour! Luckily, they were still able to squeeze me in (and sent a message as well via whatsapp on the pick up instructions). everything went smoothly, from the pick up to the drop off. It was raining the whole day of our tour, which for any person would be such a drag, but Bunzy our guide (i hope i got the spelling correct!) was such a hoot! His tongue in cheek humor and knowledge of the island was just the perfect way to learn about the story behind Bruny and get in some laughs as well Would take another Tassie Tour in the future, if given the chance!!
“Highly recommend”
Fantastic tour with family yesterday to the stunning Bruny Island. Our guide, Mark, was warm and full of local knowledge. We visited beautiful locations with plenty of time to enjoy each spot. The pub lunch was great.
“beautiful and fun”
My trip to Bruny Island was wonderful - our tour guide Andrew was 10/10. His in depth knowledge of Bruny Island and terrific sense of humour made it an enjoyable experience. I recommend this your as a must-see on your visit to Tasmania.
“The best experience”
We had a fantastic time on the Bruny Island tour, thanks to Jodi’s friendly and caring guidance. She brought each site to life with her knowledge of its history, geology, and environment, and looked after us thoughtfully by reminding us about meals, snacks, and upcoming washroom stops. It truly felt like we were exploring with a friend!
“Definitely recommend Tassie Tours.”
We went on the Bruny Island day tour, and boy was it amazing! Our driver Andrew was amazing he had a lot of personal experience growing up on the island. His insight with the views around the island was a well worth experience! Make sure to try the Oysters and Beer and Cheese farm definitely the highlights of the day!
“Wow!”
Our tour was truly wonderful, and Neithan was an exceptional guide. We genuinely had a fantastic time and would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to others. It’s an experience that brings so much joy!
“Amazing experience!”
“Unforgettable!”
Alex our tour guide was great. Was very accommodating and communicated well. Engaged and gave lots of information and answered questions. Beautiful tour as we stopped by some small spots for lookouts and photos as well as a chocolate and lavender factory along the way!
“Thanks Tassie Tours keep up the Good work”
We spent 2 days with these guys and we were really happy with the service and the tours they operated. First one was the Port Arthur return trip tour with Andrew. He was informative and stopped extra along the way in Dunalley to see some cheeky seals. The tour was great and he gave options to stay longer at PA or travel earlier to see Remarkable Cave. Well worth it. 2nd trip was with Nathan to Bruny Island. Nathan was engaged and funny and provided great info along the way. It was wet and cold, but we all made the most of it. The group we had were all friendly and made ut an enjoyable day.
“You won’t regret it!”
I cannot recommend the Tassie Tours highly enough. From my initial enquiry through the entire 4 days plus airport transfers, the company and individuals were sensitive and caring for all my demands. They were realistic about my limitations, and willing to support me, ensuring I had the best possible experience. As it turned out, I was more incapacitated than I had believed, so Plan A was revised to B or even C by mutual consent by a very knowledgeable driver with a wealth of knowledge. My thanks to Simon Barcska, who never made me feel a burden
“Highly recommend Tassie Tour ”
My wife and I were fortunate to have Lachlan who helped us solve the payment issue when Viator refused to take our payment. . Yesterday, we had a very experienced local tour guide, Gerard, who took us to Mount Wellington, Salamanca Market, The Wicked Cheese Co, Richmond Bridge and Bonorong Wildlife. Not only was Gerald approachable, but also he answered our questions about these places openly. . Today, we had another friendly and approachable tour guide, Campbell who made the entire trip to Port Arthur Historic Site fun and enjoyable. He shared what he knew about the history of Port Arthur to prep us before we reached the place. He also showed us different places along the route as bonuses. We happened to see a coach under Gray Line that did not even stop at a scenic spot (in fact, the coach just drove past the spot and left) whereas we had the photo opportunity. So well you know why we prefer Tassie Tour over bigger tour companies. . One more thing to add, we had a very experienced local tour guide, Andrew, who took us to Bruny Island today. He was born here and he was from Bruny Island. How lucky we had a local guide to tell us everything we need to know about Bruny Island. The lunch at Hotel Bruny was great too. A totally enjoyable experience with Tassie Tours.
“So much fun - highly recommended”
Took the shuttle from Hobart to Port Arthur on Sunday 18th May “Mark the Driver” was fantastic friendly funny engaging and extremely knowledgeable a total asset to the company - the bus was comfortable with ample room - the short breaks and stops on the way were good also - highly recommend
“ 100% recommend Tassie Tours.”
Tassie Tours! Just awesome full stop. Arrived in the wonderful city of Hobart yesterday on a cruise. Wanted to travel to Port Arthur and check it out, stepped off the ship and found this company. Super simple, great advice even gave a Veteran Discount. Our tour guide “Tilly” was amazing we went to other great places to and from Port Arthur. Thanks to Tilly, we are definitely inspired to come back in the near future with the camper and travel around Tasmanian. Wonderful place, down to earth.
“Memorable!”
“Perfect day!”
My partner and I took the Bruny Island tour with Mark. It was spectacular! Not only was the transport comfortable and efficient and the sites beautiful, but Mark went above and beyond to make sure that everyone had a great time. He even returned a lost hat to us after the tour had finished! Highly recommend this tour, particularly with Mark.
“I highly recommend this company.”
The customer experience they provide is exceptional. They prioritize customer satisfaction over financial gain. I have participated in four tours in Hobart, three of which were with this company. I had an extremely enjoyable time on these tours. I would particularly like to commend their outstanding tour guide, Mark. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone has a memorable experience. He is passionate about his job and takes the time to interact with each participant individually. His extensive knowledge extends beyond Tasmania and encompasses a wide range of global topics. Furthermore, the customer service provided by the office staff is exceptional. They are understanding, thoughtful, and always willing to assist.
“We had fantastic trip to Bruny Island with Tassie Tours!! ”
The tour was smoothly run with our highly knowledgeable guide Jodi! She was an absolute legend! We will recommend this tour to our friends back in Adelaide and we can't wait to visit and join another tour in the future!
“Very enjoyable!”
We recently went on a cruise to Tassie and had stopovers at Burnie and Hobart. I rang Tassie Tours who were professional and provided a fantastic value for money tour on places we wanted to visit. Our first tour was to Sheffield and Cradle Mountain, Richard was our tour guide and bus commentary - he was passionate about Tassie and there was hardly a question he could not answer. He was also good at taking photographs of us which was very helpful! There was also a female guide with Richard who was great, sorry I forgot her name! Our second tour was of Hobart highlights - history of Hobart and many historic landmarks and lookouts, Mt Wellington and a stopover at Richmond where we had lunch and a shop. We even were able to sneak in a stop at Bonorong Animal Sanctuary where we could feed the kangaroos and I watched a baby wombat eating a carrot - it was the most magical experience as I love wombats. Our guide and bus driver was Mark. Mark was engaging and remembered all of our names - he also had a great sense of humour and was able to engage the bus in very interesting topics of conversation. Mark is well travelled and had a very wide knowledge of not only Tasmania but many other countries. I really enjoyed Mark and rate him highly as a tour guide and genuine person to talk with. I would recommend Tassie Tours to anyone and also to people on a cruise - they are good value for money and will not let you down. I am so grateful we chose them for our tours.
“Do it… just book the tour!!!”
Tassie tours are great. Did the Port Arthur shuttle from Hobart and it was terrific. Small group numbers, flexible itinerary and fantastic photo stop points along the way, I highly recommend this tour
“Fantastic Experience”
Bunzy and Tassie Tours took us on a day trip to Bruny Island. We loved everything about it from the honey, cheese, beer and chocolate shops to the magical forest walk. Highlights were the amazing lunch at Hotel Bruny (seafood chowder) and the best oysters ever from Get Shucked. This is a highly recommended experience for all.
“Highly recommended for a day trip.”
Had a fantastic day touring the highlights of Bruny Island. Mark was very inclusive and social and a wealth of information on all the sites and Tasmania in general. We had a blast... The Neck, The Lighthouse, yummy pub lunch was huge and delicious (Lamb souvlaki), beach walks, rainforest walk, saw white wallaby, echidna, Eagles and photographic landscapes galore.
“you won’t regret it!!!”
Joey was great and the tour is worth your time and money. Joey was super informative, nature and wildlife were outstanding, and the weather was just on point to enjoy all the activities. Please find time to visit Bruny Island,
“Amazing tour”
Andrew was awesome tourguide for day out at Bruny Island. tassie tour wasn’t rush and ensured we all had great fun exploring history, nature and food! Thanks too for a very convenient pick up and drop off for our group.
“Encredible!”
Excellent tour of Hobart and surrounding areas. You'll visit the charming village of Richmond, the Bonorong wildlife preserve, the wonderful Hobart outdoor market (Saturdays only), and the summit of Mt Wellington for spectacular views. Our guide (Mark) was great, providing interesting factoids during the entire trip.
“Would highly recommend.”
We booked the Port Arthur day trip with Tassie Tours and we had a very pleasant experience. Our guide Jodi was fantastic and kept us entertained throughout the day with her knowledge and wits. We were hitting all the spots on time and had sufficient time to visit and check out all the pitstops. Would highly recommend this day trip or Tassie Tours in general to anyone looking for day trips (or longer) out of Hobart.
“Kudos to Tassie Tours, especially to Jodi!”
I had a great time doing the Bruny Island day tour with our guide Jodi. She is very passionate about her work. She made the day enjoyable and interesting. Plus, she spotted a white wallaby for us!
“Bruny Island is beautiful!”
Went on the day tour to Bruny Island, and highly recommend. Bunzy (tour guide) was great, got to see heaps and was well priced.
“It was one of the best tours!”
We had a great tour on Bruny Island. Lots of stops along the way to see great scenery and enjoy delicious food. The oysters were large, tasty and a good deal.
“What an amazing trip! ”
Absolutely a great experience with the team and our tour guide Gino. He's down to earth and with so much experience and love to this land. Booked two days before and it was smooth from picking up to dropping off. The Bruny Island tour is recommended! Lunch spot at the Bruny hotel, food was substantial and tasty! Don't have to worry about your lunch peeps!
“Simply amazing”
Fantastic day. Andrew was a great guide, funny, very informative & friendly. The flexibility of the tour meant we were able to avoid the crowds at tastings & each nature stop. Lucky enough to see the white wallaby, padimelon & a baby echidna on the beach.
“Tassie Tours!!!”
Thank you Thankyou Thank you, for an awesome day!! We had a terrific time and would highly recommend Tassie Tours, to anyone wanting to explore parts of Tasmania. Cant wait to come back and book through you guys again! Will be recommending you guys, to family and friends. Thanks a bunch!!
“Really recommend it!”
This was my first time in Tasmania. I booked two tours with Tassie Tours, the Port Arthur and the Hastings Cave and Tahune Walk back in June 2025. Would highly recommend, on both trips we had really knowledgeable tour guides who explained the history of Hobart, and both were able to answer all queries we had with the trips and in general. Huge thanks to Geeno, he was a great guide, was really helpful he even gave us great recommendations and helped us out with other activities for Hobart. We had a really good time at the caves, managed to get to all destinations, and even had time to stop for a slice of apple pie. Transportation was comfortable, to the point we were both knackered and fell asleep on the drive back. If ever in the area would highly recommend taking a Tassie Tour.
“Wow!”
My partner and I took the Bruny Island 1-day tour. There were lots of great lookouts, a rainforest walk, the lighthouse + more. We even briefly saw a white wallaby! Our tour guide was okay, but felt like the vibe was a bit off compared to other guides we've had - I would've liked a bit more guidance about what was to come for the day ahead, info on where we were before we arrived, and not have music playing during the bus rides. Overall, it was a fun da,y but I would've liked a different tour guide.
“Highly recommend this tour—especially with Geno as your guide!”
Our tour to Bruny Island with Geno was amazing! Seeing the rare albino wallaby was a highlight, and Geno’s knowledge, humor, and great photo skills made the experience even better. Lunch was delicious, and the scenery was stunning. I think the only thing we didn't do - swimming and because of the weather not suitable. The pace felt a bit rushed closer to the end, but there was so much to see.
“We will be back!”
We travelled with Tassie Tours for their Bruny Island day trip and the Port Arthur Shuttle, our guide/driver on both days was Geno. A well seasoned and knowledgeable guide covering all aspects of Bruny Island highlights and Port Arthur history. His insights and personality made for an interesting drive and tour. Highly recommend if you’re looking to sit back and let someone else show you a slice of the best of what beautiful Tassie can offer.
“The Bruny Island full-day tour was well organized. ”
Alex performed an excellent service of not only taking care of every passenger on the minivan but also telling us about the history, economics, and some side stories about this island. Travelling with Tassie Tours is highly recommended, and even better with the tour guide Alex.
“We’ll be back in winter!”
The 3 day Hobart highlights tour was the perfect birthday gift for me and my partner on our birthday. Mark and Andrew were great. Safe drivers, very knowledgeable. I love that Andrew knows Bruny Island like the back of his hand and Mark is so well travelled,he was very engaging and such a good story teller. We loved those 3 days, nice weather and freshest seafood!
“My friends and I had an excellent day travelling around Bruny Is”
My friends and I had an excellent day travelling around Bruny Island with Tassie Tours. Our guide Andrew was very knowledgeable of the island and was able to show us all the secret spots. The main highlights for me were the honey shop, pub lunch and the ocean views at Truganini lookout. I 100% recommend this tour. Thank you!!
“Best experience ever”
Went on a tour to Bruny Island on my own. Jodi was amazing, the best guide who looked after all of us. She was very knowledgeable, caring, and supportive to those of us who needed more encouragement to keep going, even when out of breath or a little lost, she was right there. She definitely made my day the best experience which was more than I expected. I will definitely let my networks know which tour company to join when they visit Tassie. Love your work, Jodi, ya legend
“Excellent value day tour to Bruny Island from Hobart with Tassie”
“Amazing! Professionalism of stuff was perfect”
The most memorable part of my experience with Tassie tours was my guide Jodi! Not only that she came out of her way to make everyone’s day memorable and fun she was taking beautiful photos of everyone on the tour. Professionalism, kindness and knowledge of your guide truly make your tours special and for that I’m so grateful I had Jodi as my guide. The tour was very well organised and everything went so well and besides having fun and enjoying the nature we got a chance to learn new things from Jodi as she is very well informed about everything on our tour! I truly had an amazing time and I hope Jodi will be my guide again when I book a tour with Tassie tours.
“Stunning Views”
Amazing tour great day you see a lot beautiful places defined worth it. If you are lucky and you have Jody as your guide you will have a great day

“Wonderful trip”
The tour guide was very friendly and helpful. The natural scenery of Bruny Island is beautiful—it’s a peaceful and relaxing place that’s well worth a visit.
“Great tour, beautiful scenery!”
Had the best time exploring wineglass bay with tour guide Geno! The national park is such a breathtaking landscape and well worth a visit! The tour was well thought through, with a few different walking options. Geno the guide was lovely, clearly very experienced and knowledgeable, and made the experience so enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this tour for those who love walking and beautiful scenery!
“Whales and wallabies”
Such a good tour! Jodi was an incredible tour guide, really knowledgeable and great fun. Had a lovely day exploring the island, spotting Whales, White wallabies and pixi parasol fungi! One of the best tours I’ve ever done and I’ve done many across Australia.
“Amazing day at Bruny Island”
I had a fantastic day with Jodi, we saw so much and learned so much! Would highly recommend to groups or solo travellers, it was very enjoyable!
“Great day out”
Great day out with interesting sites.
The trees and airwalk were great to spend a bit of time in nature, and the Hastings Cave was absolutely beautiful.
The slice of apple pie and cider tasting at the end was a great way to wrap up.
Thanks Nathan!

“Amazing views, great guide”
Wineglass Bay was showcased in all its glory with guidance from tour guide Geno and the gift of freedom to explore the landscape. Great seafood, amazing views of the coastline and even the opportunity to climb Mt Amos if youre up for the challenge. A spectacular day out for sure, I would highly recommend this tour to all ages as it caters for every type of traveller.
“Fabulous day trip to Bruny Island.”
This was a fabulous day trip. Enjoyed all the stops, lunch was delicious and our tour guide Mark helped make the experience memorable.
I would absolutely recommend this to others.
“Wonderful trip to Bruny Island!”
My family had the most wonderful day trip to Bruny Island from Hobart. Mark was a wonderful guide who was knowledgeable, personable, and made the trip a lot of fun. We especially loved that the trip was a smaller group (approximately nine people), and packed so much in during the day. We loved the places that we visited on Bruny Island, and there were plenty of opportunities for great food, sightseeing, and any questions that we had. We would definitely recommend this trip for anyone interested in visiting Bruny Island!

“A wonderful day of adventure”
Had a fantastic day on the tour. Well planned with plenty of different experiences. The tour guide added that special touch as he was friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable. A memorable experience.
“Stunning Bruny Island Tour”
We had a fantastic day with our guide, Mark, on the stunningly beautiful and pristine Bruny Island. Mark was very warm, relaxed, and had heaps of local knowledge. The lunch at the pub was delicious. We had no idea beforehand how beautiful this place is. Highly recommend this tour.
“Outstanding tour”
We got picked up from our hotel, and the weather was a bit disappointing but our guide Jody, promised to work around that, and she most definitely did. Skillfully weaving the stops to fit in with the unpredictable Tassie weather.
Jody is exceptional as a guide, and the whole day was a delight to listen to her insights, humour and Tasmanian facts and stories.
She found us a white Wallaby in about five minutes, got us all photos at the Neck with nobody else in them, and her knowledge and love for the bush really shined on our short bushwalk.
I highly recommend this tour.
“Amazing tour!”
Great day tour visiting Port Arthur and awesome Tasman locations. The stop to Remarkable Cave was too beautiful to miss. Peter, our guide, was kind, comical & insightful throughout the day. Thank you for not golfing that day, Peter!
“Bruny Island day tour - we had a great time!”
We had a great day on the tour. It is a very busy day with lots of activities jammed in so great bang for your buck! Three small children were all included and made part of all activities. Would recommend for young and old. Add it to your list when visiting Hobart.
“Enjoyable day out. Beautiful scenery. Very knowledgeable guide.”
Awesome day out with Gino as our guide. Beautiful scenery at each stop with a nice little surprise at the end of the tour. The caves are magnificent. The Airwalk was stunning in the fog.
“Loved the variety, includes nature walks and foodie stops.”
Exploring without a car, I would recommend taking this tour. Mark our guide gave us a great day. Picked up from Hobart for a 20 minute drive to Kettering to board the ferry for a 15 minute trip across to Bruny Island. First stop was The Neck and Truganini Lookout, 200 steps up but worth it for the photo. If you can’t manage steps then there is a lovely walk out to the beach. Our next stop at Adventure Bay allowed time for a morning coffee or a walk along the beach. Lunch was at our own expense and could be preordered at the Bruny Island hotel, so it was very efficient on arrival for a relaxing break. Afternoon was a walk to The lighthouse and the views were amazing, followed by a beautiful 15 minute rainforest walk. We also had stops at Bruny Island Honey, Bruny Island Chocolate Place. We also got to see the white wallably of Bruny. Mark was kind to allow time for a stop at Get Shucked Oyster for some amazing oysters and a glass of wine. Thanks Mark. Don’t forget to request a stop early in the day from your guide if you have any preference stops and I’m sure they will accommodate you if possible.

Hastings Cave & Tahune Airwalk with Jodie from Tassie Tours was a fantastic day. Jodie shared some great tunes, insightful local knowledge, and history throughout the day! Timings were well paced, offering plenty of time to self-explore Tahune. Thanks for an amazing day, Jodie, we loved it!

“A great day with a great guide!”
This was a great full-day tour. From pickup to drop off, everything was planned out well and had plenty of time in each location. Tahune Airwalk and the swinging bridges forest walk were beautiful. The Hastings cave tour was fantastic, as was our guide, who had a wealth of knowledge and an obvious love for his job. Finishing off the day with a cider tasting paddle and apple pie was a perfect end before heading back to Hobart.
“Very good times”
It was a very good tour with an excellent guide. We spent a longer time at the Bonorong, which I particularly enjoyed, and everything was perfect.

“A Memorable Bruny Island Experience with Andrew”
The tour guide, Andrew, was very welcoming and passionate. He knows everything about Bruny Island as he grew up there. We were so lucky that we were able to see white wallabies, dolphins, and black swans, etc. Andrew managed to show us various spots with perfect time management. His professional yet friendly attitude impressed us. We were very thankful for his hospitality :)
“A Memorable Journey with Paris”
Our tour guide, Paris, was a very caring and conscientious person who was always attentive to our needs. She made a genuine effort in connecting with people. Her professional and accommodating attitude impressed us and made the journey memorable. There was quite a bit of walk uphill and downhill so get prepared!
“Fun and beneficial experience”
Very fun tour with a fun guide. Guide was very helpful in finding our accommodation and dropping us off there which was very much appreciated. Worth the trip although if you would like to explore Port Arthur, worth staying for 1-2 nights to experience the large historic site at a relaxed pace which is what I did. Ticket also lasts 2 days which is helpful.
“Truly a highlight!”
From the moment we stepped aboard, Mark transformed what could’ve been a standard sightseeing tour into a vibrant, story-rich journey through Hobart’s heart and soul. His energy was infectious, and his knack for weaving personalized factoids into each stop kept us engaged, entertained, and constantly learning.
Whether it was quirky colonial trivia or insights into Tasmania’s evolving culture, Mark tailored the experience to our group’s interests with impressive finesse. It felt less like a tour and more like being shown around by a passionate local friend who genuinely loves this city.
The pacing was perfect, the sites were stunning, and Mark’s commentary added layers of meaning to everything we saw. If you’re looking for a tour that’s both informative and delightfully human, this is it.
Highly recommend booking with Mark—you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for Hobart and a smile that lasts well beyond the final stop. We booked via Klook btw
“The best tour company in Hobart”
We had a six day visit to Hobart and thought we would do Hobart highlights, Bruny Island tour and Port Arthur. We could not have done so much of Hobart if it wasn't for the great tour guides we had Mark, Gino and Andrew. The wealth of knowledge and facts about everywhere we went was fantastic. Thank you Tassie Tours for such a great experience we will come back and do more tours with you.
