See MapDay 1: Hobart to the Wild West Coast
An early start from Hobart sees us heading deep into the wild west coast of Tasmania. After passing through the town of New Norfolk, we explore Mount Field National Park by walking amongst some of the tallest trees on the planet, standing beneath the beautiful Russel Falls, and searching for platypus. Our drive passes though the Tasmania Wilderness World Heritage Area with a stop at Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park where we’ll stroll along the Franklin River and under Nelson Falls. We’ll then explore the eerie historical mining town of Queenstown before reaching Tullah in the afternoon. In Tullah you’ll have free time to explore the township settled on the beautiful Lake Roseberry.

Day 2: Wild West Coast to Central Tasmania ( via Cradle Mountain )
From Tullah, we drive though temperate rainforest and arrive at the spectacular Cradle Mountain National Park. Get your cameras ready because we’ll be spotting wild wombats before hiking the popular Dove Lake Circuit or Marions Lookout for the adventurous.
An afternoon drive then brings us to our secluded accommodation nestled in the bush and surrounded by wildlife such as Wallabies, Wombats, Quolls, Birds and more. Enjoy a BBQ dinner with the group (included).

Day 3: Central Tasmania to Bicheno
We start our day with a scenic drive to the Bay of Fires where you’ll get to enjoy the many beautiful beaches it has to offer. Explore the beach, rock hop amongst the iconic orange lichen covered granite boulders and enjoy the crystal clear turquoise water. In the afternoon, we stop in at a wildlife sanctuary to watch a ferocious Tasmanian Devil feeding experience. We finish our day with a drive to Bicheno (known as the next Bryon Bay) arriving early to explore the blowhole, coastal loop walk and whales lookout. You also have the option to go on a Little Penguin guided tour at dusk.

Day 4: Bicheno to Hobart
A short drive from Bicheno sees us arrive at Freycinet National Park – home of the famous Wineglass Bay. We have the option of hiking Wineglass Bay Lookout and Beach, or Hazards Circuit or Mount Amos (weather dependent). We then stop in at Cape Tourville before completing the Great Eastern Drive back to Hobart. Our tour ends upon arrival in Hobart (approximately 5:30pm) where we say farewell to our new tour friends. If you are staying in Hobart for the night, make sure to check out the renowned Salamanca Markets on Saturdays.

What is the baggage allowance?
You may bring a backpack or suitcase and it will be stored securely in our trailer during the day and unloaded each evening. We recommend bring a smaller day pack to store your daily essentials such as drinks, jackets and sunscreen while on tour.
What immunisations do I need?
For the latest information on immunisations, we strongly recommend you or contact the Travellers Medical and Vaccination Centre (www.traveldoctor.com.au) to discuss health requirements for your trip. They will advise you about appropriate inoculations.
Do I need to take any medical supplies?
It is not necessary to bring any medical supplies other than any personal items you may require. Each tour will carry an first aid box and our guides are all certified in First Aid.
How fit do I need to be?
Our tours are made to be fun, informative and active and can be enjoyed by anyone with a moderate degree of fitness and agility. Travellers should be comfortable with hiking/walking up to 5km each day.
Do I need travel insurance?
Insurance is important in protecting visitors from loss or damange of goods, medical problems, cancelation by passengers or other casualties. Its highly recommended. Some tours on this website require you to have travel insurance. If you are Australian then it is not necessary.
Will I be able to use my mobile whilst on tour?
You can use your mobile while touring in Australia or New Zealand, but coverage may be limited in remote areas. For best connectivity, consider purchasing a local SIM card or an international roaming plan.
Can we depart Tasmania the day our tour finishes? Can we be dropped off at the Airport?
Yes, you can depart Tasmania the same day your tour finishes; to be on the safe side we advise all flights leaving Tasmania should be booked for 8pm or later.We can arrange an airport drop off on the final day of tour the following tours: 7 Day, 6 Day, 5 Day, 4 Day. If you wish to be dropped at the Airport on either of these please ensure you have all possessions with you on tour as you will be dropped at the airport on the way back into Hobart.For all other tours you will be dropped into the city centre.
Can I arrive in Tasmania the day my tour departs?
No, You will need to arrive into your departure city at least the day before your tour is scheduled to depart, due to the early start to our day tours and multi-day tours you cannot arrive the same day your tour is set to depart.
How can I get from the Airport to the city centre?
HOBART AIRPORT INFORMATIONLOCATION – Hobart Airport is located 17 kilometres (roughly a 15-20 minute drive) from the city centre of Hobart. You can get to and from the airport via the SkyBus, Uber or taxis.SKYBUS HOBART EXPRESS SHUTTLE SERVICE – Skybus operates a regular express bus service between Hobart Airport and select locations in Hobart’s city centre.TAXIS – Taxis are located directly out the front of the building and cost approximately $40 to $60 each way to/from Hobart’s city centre. If you need a mini-van or special taxi ask one of the kerbside assistants who will radio one through for you.UBER – Uber is available in Hobart and rides can be organised through their app. Fares can be cheaper than taxis however wait times can vary largely and are dependent on available drivers in the local area.LAUNCESTON AIRPORT INFORMATIONLOCATION – Launceston Airport is located 15 kilometres south of Launceston on the Evandale Main Road. Do I have to book this tour online?
Definitely not. Our website is designed to make is easy and convenient for you to schedule your tour. However we understand sometimes its nice to talk to someone directly. So by all means give us a call and we can organise your trip over the phone.
If I book more than one tour can I get a discount?
Absolutely! If you are booking multiple tours then we may be able to offer you a discount. Send us an email at info@lostinaustralia.org and let us know what you thinking of doing and we can put together a price for you.Also, be sure to look out for monthly specials on tours. We often have some great bargains.
How do I know when a tour is available?
You can check the departure dates of tours by using our calendar on the top right hand corner of the tour page. This will tell you what days the tour departs. For availability of seats please contact us directly at info@lostinaustralia.org or call us.
Does the tour price include flights?
No. Tour prices do not include any travel arrangements other than for the duration of the tour itself. If you need assistance with booking flights or buses our travel team and certainly help - Just ask!
How far in advance do I need to book my tour?
As a rule of thumb we generally say AT LEAST 2 weeks prior to departure, this will usually get you a seat on the date you want. That being said, we cannot guarantee that spaces will be available at the time of your booking so, if you can, book as soon as possible. Bookings can still be made right up until the departure date of the tour if seats are available. If you know when you'd like to travel, please contact us and we will let you know if you need to book soon or if you have time.
If you cancel a booking due to COVID-19
Within 21 days of departure and due to you having COVID-19 or symptoms and supported by a medical certificate, or due to border closures inhibiting your ability to travel, we will refund monies paid by you in connection with the booking less any unrecoverable costs.

Is this Tasmania tour for me?
Our tours are made up of small groups with a range of ages, nationalities and backgrounds - everyone is welcome! On tour we get equally as many males as females and everyone shares an enthusiasm for the out doors, nature, adventure and culture. The trips are packed with many highlights and the pace can be fast - although there’s always time to chill out, have a cold beer ( or wine! ) and soak up your surroundings. As always, if in doubt then contact us directly with your concerns.
Cost and Fees
Will I need additional money?
Visitors are advised to bring some cash as ATMs and banks can be few and far between depending on where we are during the trip. Its handy to have some extra cash as we do stop by local shops and cafe.
Do I need to tip our guide?
If you had an amazing time on tour and wish to tip the guide, then that is completely up to you. However, tipping is not customary and is not at all expected.
Are there any hidden fees I need to know about?
Our tour prices are completely transparent. There are no additional fees involved that are not included in the overall tour price shown. If you wish to do optional activities such as helicopter rides or wildlife safaris, then an extra cost may be needed. However, this will always be made clear at the time of your booking.

What accommodation will we be sleeping in during our Tassie trip?
During our Tasmania tours we stay in a wide variety of different hostels and motels with dorm style accommodation. All accommodation are run by friendly and hospitable locals who's job it is to make sure you enjoy your stay while in Tassie!For those who'd like more privacy, we do have the option to upgrade to twin or double rooms with private facilities.
Can I book extra accommodation for the start and end of the tour?
We know our country inside and out and would be happy to give you good recommodations. Please contact us for recommendations.
Where do I meet the tour?

Is food included on this tour?
We believe that our guests prefer to do their own thing when it comes to meals. We allow them their own space each day to dine out and enjoy the local fare and provide recommendations, and we also assist by taking guests to the local supermarket to purchase items that can be prepared in the kitchen at each hostel, either individually or as a group. If there's something you can't do without, just bring it with you! Please advise your dietary requirements at the time of booking.
What vehicle do we use to explore Tasmania?
For our Tasmania tours we generally use one of our custom prepared 4WD Mini buses. However this depends on the size of the group and the amount of days we are out and about. Each Tasmania tour varies so please refer to your tour info panel on the top right hand side of the page.
What is the weather like in Tasmania?
Tasmania weather has four distinct seasons. The warmest months are December, January, February and March. Autumn (Fall) has many sunny days and the landscape produces a mass of colour as 200 year-old oaks, elms, birches and Tasmania’s own native beech, turn from gold to red in preparation for winter. Winter runs from May through August. Spring spans September, October and November, and brings oceans of wildflowers. The average summer temperatures sit between 17 and 23 degrees Celsius (62 and 73 degrees Fahrenheit) and in winter, between 3 and 11 degrees Celsius (37 and 51 degrees Fahrenheit). Tasmania’s location below the 40th parallel means the summer evenings display a lingering twilight

I went on this tour as a solo traveler, and let me tell you, I had the absolute BEST TIME!!! Our guide, Trent, took us to Tasmania’s must-see spots at the perfect times, allowing us to avoid crowds and fully immerse ourselves in the stunning landscapes. Thanks to his expertise, we had incredible wildlife encounters, spotting platypuses, wombats, wallabies (so many that it almost became routine haha!), possums, and more! On top of that, I met some wonderful people from all over the world, which made the journey even more special. If you're looking for an adventure filled with breathtaking scenery, wildlife, and great company, I can’t recommend this tour enough!

I’d never done a group tour before, never done the off-the-beaten-path hikes and am not an early morning person.. but this was amazing!
You are challenged, educated, always thoroughly entertained and you will see the most rugged, yet beautiful landscapes.
This was an experience of many firsts also having never seen echidnas and wombats up so close and personal before. It felt truly special.
You will wonder why you must wake up at such bloody early hours.. but you see the best sunrises and get so many of the trails and beaches completely to yourself, because Trent ensures you arrive everywhere first. There is a lot of care that goes into planning this trip and it’s very evident.
My only feedback is.. please do more trips, Trent! If you ever do tours in the Northern Territory again, be sure to sound the alarms and let us know.

The 4-day tour was absolutely amazing! Trent, our tour guide, showed us some of the most breathtaking spots across Tasmania. He was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, making the experience both fun and informative.
The accommodation and transportation were excellent. One of the highlights was a cozy BBQ dinner by the fire, where we roasted marshmallows with wallabies nearby—it was such a memorable evening. The scenery was spectacular everywhere we went, including the views from the hotels.
We had some unforgettable encounters with wildlife, and one of the funniest moments was our adventure trying to spot a platypus.
From start to finish, the tour was outstanding. I completely recommend Wild Tasmania Tours. I had an incredible time meeting new people, hiking, enjoying scenic walks, and exploring the natural beauty that Tasmania has to offer. Every place was full of charm and stunning landscapes.

My husband and I (age 69) just returned from the 4 day Wild Tasmania Tour and are marveling at what a fantastic trip it was. This tour allowed us to see the real wildlife of Tasmania and challenged ourselves with the hikes. The accommodations were outstanding and the chance as a small group (13) to interact with other people of all ages and 7 nationalities was unequaled. Lets start off with the positive points: - Trent (the tour guide and owner) is a legend - You get to see a lot of Tasmania, beautiful vistas, iconic animals, beautiful nature reserves, beaches, towns etc. - Trent’s knowledge is expansive (regarding anything Tasmania/Australia) and he is good at telling stories. - 2 (optional) grand hikes that will leave you with a sense of accomplishment. - The accommodations are super nice and comfortable. - The BBQ is fantastic. - The group is 12 to 13 people max, so quite intimate, which is very nice. The four day tour by Trent was the highlight of our Australia family trip in July. Trent had it all planned to the minute detail and was always ready to go the extra mile to make the experience worth while for his customers, he had hand warmers ready for us to survive on the coldest day. This is due to the beautiful island with its diverse nature and wildlife, but at least as much due to our tour guide Trent. He makes sure that everyone in the group has a good time and can do the things they want to do. He knows his way around, has exciting things to tell and loves what he does.
You don't have the feeling of going through the standard tourist program, but benefit from the experience he has gained during his time as a guide - for example in the form of restaurant tips, little stops along the way or tips for the next excursion.
This is the perfect tour for anyone who enjoys walks and (shorter or more challenging) hikes, is interested in the local animals but also likes to spend time on a beach!

My daughter and I went on this 4-day excursion hoping to see some of Tasmania's endemic birds, explore some of the coastline, and hike in some of the national parks. We did all of that and much more. Trent, our guide, brought us not just to iconic places like Cradle Mountain and Russell Falls but also to coves, beaches, and wilderness areas that were hidden gems with spectacular views and few people. We also went to some lovely cafes and very good winery.
Trent was knowledgeable about the area's history, ecology, and wildlife, which made the bus travel go quickly. The people on the trip were from all over the globe, including other parts of Australia. They were an adventuresome and interesting group, adding to the already abundant pleasures of the trip.
There were really too many highlights to name--we enjoyed every part of the trip.

I was very impressed with the 4-day tour and saw so much of Tasmania in just a few days. As the founder and guide, Trent puts in a huge amount of care and has been constantly tweaking the trip over the last few years to provide the best possible experience, for example, including stops for fresh berries and local ice cream. My personal highlights were Cradle Mountain (Marion’s Lookout), our evening at Craggy Peaks and Wineglass Bay. We saw lots of wildlife on our many walks too. The stop at Devil’s Corner vineyard was the perfect way to round off a terrific trip.

I made a great decision to join this tour - and what a wonderful experience it was! Trent is a first class tour guide - he is thoughtful, friendly and highly organised, and he will ensure that every hour on the journey counts. With a well designed itinerary we immersed ourselves in the true beauty of Tassie, I finally got to see and experience some bucket list items in the Apple Isle and my fellow travellers were super lovely (we had a group of 13). The accommodation was comfortable and had a real ‘escapism’ factor. The highlights for me was Cradle Mountain, Bay of Fires, Wineglass Bay and our stopover at Craggy Peaks. Not to mention seeing native Australian animals in the wild - it added to the positive experience. We also got lucky with fabulous weather - lots of “pinch me” moments when taking photos.

This tour was nothing short of amazing! Trent made it such a memorable experience for our group-he is super passionate about Tasmania and went to great lengths to show us and tell us all about the history, the wildlife, the flora and fauna of each area we visited. We covered a lot of ground in 4 days and saw so much! Highlights were Franklin River , Nelson Falls and the walk around Dove Lake, Wineglass Bay and Hazards Bay 900+ stairs, Devils Corner winery, several waterfalls, and all the wildlife we saw (platypus, wombats, echidnas, wallabies, kangaroos, Tassie devils, quolls, lizards, sheep, cows, horses and one special alpaca!)
Trent cooked us a yummy BBQ one night and knew where to send us for good eats on the other days-great bakeries, brekkie spots and a berry farm for fresh berries and cherries. Van Diemens ice cream is a must experience!
Accommodations were lovely- clean and well appointed, yet simple. I travelled on my own and was pleased to connect with other solo female travelers on the tour! Do this tour! You will love every minute and will be sad when it’s over.

This has been the best organised tour that my sister and I have ever been on. We are a couple who travel a lot but rarely do group tours. We decided to give the 4 day Wild Tasmania tour a try due to the fantastic reviews and very full itinerary which covered everything we hoped to see (and a few treats we never would have found). Trent is every bit as good of a guide as others have said. You will feel like you are being led by a biologist, a botanist and a geologist all at the same. You’re up and out each morning at 7 am and miss all the crowds. Trent has years of experience as a guide in Tasmania and it shows.

Trent, our guide put together a class tour and drove us to the highlights of the island with his bus. He is well versed here and can always give explanations about flora and fauna. He does this patiently and at length, without being intrusive in any way. The hiking tours were varied and were partly easy, partly quite difficult. Simple alternatives have always existed. We were also positively surprised by the accommodations, which were much more luxurious than you could expect from the description of the tour. The 13 group members became more and more familiar with each other after a short time and the atmosphere was great.

I’d never done a group tour before, never done the off-the-beaten-path hikes and am not an early morning person.. but this was amazing!
You are challenged, educated, always thoroughly entertained and you will see the most rugged, yet beautiful landscapes.
This was an experience of many firsts also having never seen echidnas and wombats up so close and personal before. It felt truly special.
You will wonder why you must wake up at such bloody early hours.. but you see the best sunrises and get so many of the trails and beaches completely to yourself, because Trent ensures you arrive everywhere first. There is a lot of care that goes into planning this trip and it’s very evident.
My only feedback is.. please do more trips, Trent! If you ever do tours in the Northern Territory again, be sure to sound the alarms and let us know.

The guide, Trents, is knowledgeable about plants, birds and marsupials. Though we didn’t see the shy wombats, we did see platypuses, pademelons and wallabies. This tour surpassed my expectations. Trent was an incredible tour guide. The nighttime locations were some of the most beautiful spots. Each day was jam packed and this tour has made me fall in love with Tasmania.

I booked this tour based on all great reviews and it exceeded my expectations a lot. We saw so much wild animals, waterfalls and beautiful views in 4 days! I was so pleased I joined the tour, otherwise I would not have seen as much on my own. Trent is such a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable, organised and helpful. He took us not only iconic tourist site but also small towns, berry shop, seaside cafe and restaurant etc. He always gave us tips where and what is the best to eat for our free time. Trent took us a little creek and spotted wild Platypus on our first day. OMG, I was so excited as Platypus sighting was one of my bucket list! My hiking highlight was Dove lake circuit at Cradle Mountain. Breathtaking views, very peaceful and unforgettable. Trent took us before other clouds get there so we had such a nice time by ourselves. All Accomodation was comfortable. Especially, I really loved 2nd accomodation which sit in the middle of beautiful bush. Trent cooked us BBQ dinner, campfire, cooked mush mallows. Wild animal spotting with torch was so much fun.
I was solo traveller but I met people from many different countries. As small group of 13, we got know well and I had a lovely time.

4 days that goes around the entire island and offers a perfect mix of physical activity, wild-life spotting, and relaxing at beaches and vineyards. Having the accommodations, planning, and expertise of this tour made my trip through Tasmania super easy, and I could just focus on spotting the amazing local wildlife.
- Trent is an attentive, welcoming, and thoughtful tour guide with a wealth of knowledge that he shared during the drives, so you can ask him any questions you have! The days are long and packed, but he’s exceptionally friendly and does everything from helping us find breakfast in the morning to tidying the bus to hosting a BBQ in the bush to leading a star-lit tour around the Tasmanian bush to spot some amazing echidnas and wallabies. (The man is working non-stop for 4 days, don’t know how he does it!)
- The itinerary is cleverly designed to beat the crowds: it starts early every day, but we had almost every hiking experience to ourselves, which means you get to experience Cradle Mountain and Freycinet National Park’s unadulterated beauty with almost no one else around (also means more wildlife around)!
- Accommodations are truly special and it’s amazing that it’s included in the tour price, with clean and modern cabins at some of the best options in each of the places we stopped in. No hostels here — the last 2 nights in the Tasmanian Bush and then by a beautiful beach town are so luxurious, I could’ve spent a week in each place.
- As a smaller tour group of ~10-12 people, we had a great friendly group by the end and actually got to know each other through the various activities. I really appreciated experiencing Tassie’s beautiful scenery with new friends as a solo traveler!
- I’m really glad to book through Wild Tasmania tours because I noticed the extra attention Trent pays towards responsible eco-tourism: he’s thoughtful about how to encounter and treat wildlife without disturbing them, picks nature sanctuaries that are protective towards the animals and invests in rehabilitation instead of commercial profit, and gave us plenty of options to dine and support local businesses or pick up groceries if we preferred. Nothing felt pushy or pre-packaged, which I know can be a risk when booking tours. I’d recommend with no hesitations to any friends visiting beautiful Tasmania!

I was beyond impressed with this 4-day experience. It packed in so much, and there’s no way I could have done it all on my own. Being part of a small group made it even better—everyone was so friendly, and we all bonded right from day one.
Every day was filled with unforgettable moments, whether it was breathtaking natural sights or incredible wildlife encounters. The accommodation was carefully hand-picked in stunning locations, offering private and personal access to wildlife. Imagine roasting marshmallows while being surrounded by wombats, quolls, and wallabies, then looking up to stargaze at the Milky Way—an absolutely magical experience.

Trent was very responsive & detailed in answering all my queries before booking. He’s very passionate about Tasmania and showed us all the beauty it had to offer. I recently had the privilege of joining a 4-day adventure tour with Wild Tasmania Tours, and I can't recommend it enough! From start to finish, this tour was everything I hoped for and more.
First and foremost, our guide Trent was exceptional. He clearly has a deep passion for Tasmania and an impressive knowledge of the land, wildlife, and history. He meticulously curated each day of the tour to give us the perfect balance of sightseeing, exploration, and relaxation. We were able to stay at carefully chosen, comfortable places that fit the surroundings—cozy and peaceful, with stunning views. Thanks to Trent's careful planning, we were able to visit all the key spots—like Cradle Mountain, Russell Falls, and the Bay of Fires—but without the typical crowds. We often arrived early in the morning, so we had these awe-inspiring locations almost entirely to ourselves, which made the experience feel incredibly personal and special.
I also loved that this was a small group tour. With just a few of us, it felt more like an intimate adventure, and we were able to move at a comfortable pace and spend more time in the places we loved. We were able to see more in just a few days than I ever expected. Whether it was hiking through Freycinet National Park, relaxing by the pristine beaches of Wineglass Bay, or marveling at the unique wildlife, the tour allowed us to truly immerse ourselves in the beauty of Tasmania.
Speaking of wildlife, Trent is an absolute expert at spotting animals! From wombats and wallabies to the more elusive creatures like quolls and echidnas, he always seemed to know exactly where to look. It was amazing how many animals we got to see up close, something I wouldn't have experienced without his keen eye.
Overall, this tour was a fantastic way to see the best of Tasmania, and I feel so lucky to have had Trent as our guide. If you’re looking for a truly immersive, well-curated, and unforgettable experience, I highly recommend Wild Tasmania Tours.

The 4 day tour was really excellent and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Trent was a friendly, informative, and organised guide. The accommodation was always comfortable and well chosen. The group size was perfect and everyone was friendly. Early starts meant that we saw places and nature at its best. There was quite a lot of driving but there were regular stops, information and Trent was a very safe driver. The places we saw were absolutely stunning. The trip was very good value and I cannot think of a better way of seeing so much of Tasmania in a short time.

It was one of the most unique and local experience i've ever had.

We accomplished so much ! We saw i could say the entire island of Tasmania!
Trent is patient guy that takes you to secret places that few local even know!
Ive been traveling all over Australia and can say with out any doubt - that was the best trip I've had here! We saw so much wildlife!
From wallabies to wombats and joey's (their babies), to the feeding experience of the devils and Kangaroos

During the four days you travel to some beautiful places in Tasmania, see lots of animals and learn a lot of new things. Just finished the 4 Day Wild Tasmania Tour and it was awesome . Trent is a super knowledgeable and down-to-earth tour guide that has created a well balanced itinerary for all levels of fitness/adventure. My mate and I had a great time challenging ourselves on the trails around Cradle Mountain and through Wineglass Bay whilst others within our group explored more accessible trails.

The arranged accommodations were comfortable, food options on the road were plenty, and the selected sights, stops and hikes were amazing. I highly recommend taking the 4-day Wild Tasmania Tour with Trent!
Had the best time on national park walks and beaches with fellow travellers. The tour was well organised and frankly, as efficient as it can be so we can spend more time enjoying nature on walks.
Good and varied choice for accommodation too. The small group made it easy to coordinate and meet new friends! Bay of Fires, Hazards Beach and swimming and staying at Bicheno to see penguins in the wild are a personal highlight for me. I travelled solo too and have always felt safe and looked after, there are options for everyone and a variety of walks to do.

The best guided tour of my life!
Hi everyone, I am Jhinal and I booked the 4 day tour with Wild Tasmania Tours starting 30th January 2023 and it was the best tour I have taken. This company has very well organized the entire tour which covers quite a lot of Tasmania, covers the most wonderful locations with amazing accomodations, allowing enough time to enjoy every location and has designed the tour in a way which allows you to also explore Hobart city while you wait for the tour to start and during the end. Furthermore, as a company they will always answer your calls and clarify all your queries and provide any additional information you need. On to the best part of the tour is our tour guide, Trent who is one gem of a person. Trent is an amazing guide who is so kind, so full of knowledge and energy. He loves his home so much and is so happy to share everything about it with his passengers. He shares a lot of knowledge during the entire tour, covering nature, history and interesting facts. Furthermore, this company is run by Trent and his wife and both of them are doing an amazing job. I highly recommend this to everyone wanting to explore Tasmania, specifically to solo travellers.

The 4 day Tassie tour is great! Best start of our stay at Tasmania. Through the tour we got a good overview of the island, its nature and history. We have seen the most significant sights on the way and could therefore concentrate the rest of our stay in and around Hobart.
Trent is an amazing guide with heaps of good knowledge, patience and he knows where the best coffee places are. The hikes and sights he picks are great snd suitable for all. It is even possible to take on more challenging hikes if you wish.
The group size is super, you are with max 12 guests which fits easily in the modern van.
Although we covered a significant part of the island in just 4 days, the rides are relaxed due to many stops on the way.
All in all, this 4 day tour is great value for money! And book through his website directly to support his business.

Trent is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide with many stories to share about Tasmania. A very well designed trip with hiking options for different abilities and opportunities to see native Australian animals in the wild. My favourite part was hiking in cradle mountain and wine glass bay. Learning about tassie devils and seeing them protected in a sanctuary was also a highlight. If you are short on time, this is a great trip to see a great range of different Tasmanian landscapes. I highly recommend Trent and Wild Tasmania Tours.

Definitely book your trip with Wild Tasmania Tours! I loved the entire tour and was so sad to have it end. Trent is a wonderful tour guide, the days are planned very well so you can see everything Tassie has to offer, the accommodations are comfortable, and the entire trip was so much fun. Also, because of the small tour group size (a massive benefit as opposed to the large tours of the other agencies), we got to know the other people on the trip and made some wonderful friends. I would recommend any tour with Trent but especially the 4-day tour to everyone!

Had such a wonderful trip around Tasmania. Our tour guide Trent was full of knowledge about Tasmanian history and wildlife, telling us lots of stories as we explored.
The 4 day trip really captured some of Tasmania gems. We saw some beautiful scenery, stopped to have some yummy local food including fresh fruit and homemade ice cream. To top it off we were really spoilt with the accomodation. After busy days we had a cosy and comfortable bed each night to help us recharge. I really enjoyed my trip and would definitely recommend

Trent is actually the best tour guide i ever met and i’ve been traveling for quite a while. Went for 4-day tour and wouldn’t mind to stay longer. The locations we saw were stunning, i loved the accommodation (so much better than with any other tour ive been on!) and all the stops for lunches or breakfasts were just so good. It was a great experience to be a tour members of wild Tasmania tour . Trent our tour guide cum bus driver cum organiser is enthusiastic , easy going and friendly person. His planning and implementation of tour programme was incredible.

We did the four day tour at the end of February and had a brilliant time enjoying the wildlife and sights of Tasmania. Our tour guide Trent was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. It was an intensive tour with early starts but it enabled us to see a huge amount of Tasmania that we would have never seen on our own. As a couple, on booking, we upgraded our accommodation and we were delighted with what was offered. Our group was a mix of couples and solo travellers and it was lovely to meet such a nice bunch of people.

Cannot suggest taking a tour with wild Tasmania tours enough! Trent was an incredible tour guide who went above and beyond to give us the best tour of cradle mountain. Throughout the two whole days, Trent spoke with so much enthusiasm and passion about the wildlife and landscapes that Tasmania has to offer. What a fantastic tour! From Hobart via the wild West and Cradle Mountain, with a stop up the North in Launceston and then driving down the East Coast, Trent showed us the absolutely best of Tassie! Not only we could see the stunning views but we also learned a lot since Trent has absolutely a great knowledge about everything from history via geology to the hidden gems of this beautiful island! Cannot recommend this trip more! Also, the choice of accommodation as well as places to eat was definitely better than on other tours (also for people with special dietary requirements). We started days early, hence we were always ahead other groups! We often had the whole viewpoints or beaches just for ourselves! With such a short trip and a piece of land that has so much to offer, I believe this is the best trip you can choose! Also, Trent is such a polite and helpful person - I called him in advance and he gave me the best tips where to go and see outside of this trip! I am looking forward to come back with my family and friends!

Hi everyone, I am Jhinal and I booked the 4 day tour with Wild Tasmania Tours starting 30th January 2023 and it was the best tour I have taken. This company has very well organized the entire tour which covers quite a lot of Tasmania, covers the most wonderful locations with amazing accomodations, allowing enough time to enjoy every location and has designed the tour in a way which allows you to also explore Hobart city while you wait for the tour to start and during the end. Furthermore, as a company they will always answer your calls and clarify all your queries and provide any additional information you need. On to the best part of the tour is our tour guide, Trent who is one gem of a person. Trent is an amazing guide who is so kind, so full of knowledge and energy. He loves his home so much and is so happy to share everything about it with his passengers. He shares a lot of knowledge during the entire tour, covering nature, history and interesting facts. Furthermore, this company is run by Trent and his wife and both of them are doing an amazing job. I highly recommend this to everyone wanting to explore Tasmania, specifically to solo travellers.

We had good accommodations and enough time at the evening to soend on our own. He always gave us tipps, on how ro spend our time there. Trent is a wonderful tour guide, the days are planned very well so you can see everything Tassie has to offer, the accommodations are comfortable, and the entire trip was so much fun. Also, because of the small tour group size (a massive benefit as opposed to the large tours of the other agencies), we got to know the other people on the trip and made some wonderful friends. This well planned & organised hiking tour was an excellent way to explore some of the main highlights of Tasmania in a short time.
Everyone was catered for given the flexibility of choice of hiking trails, accommodation, meal options and free time at night.
While small, ours was a diverse group of singles & couples, young & old, Australian & International, and all were friendly and caring.
Trent was happy to share his broad breadth of knowledge of Tasmania and was always respectful and accommodating. He also knew where to find the most delicious Ice cream!

What an amazing few days we all had on our tour around the great Tassie highlights with Trent! We saw so much in just 4 days, from beautiful scenery to wildlife, this tour has everything. The route was very well planned and the perfect balance between seeing lots but also not feeling rushed.
The group was diverse and being smaller than other tours it was a great way to really get to know people. It was a great experience as a solo traveller as I had the chance to stay in some nice accommodation options that otherwise wouldn’t be available as a single person.
Trent is a charismatic and knowledgeable tour guide who goes out of his way to ensure a really good experience for everyone, adding in much appreciated ice cream pit stops when we needed it and going above and beyond to organise additional opportunities for us to enjoy as a group such as a lovely BBQ on our final evening. We were all so sad for this tour to end! A huge thank you to Trent for a perfect snapshot of the beautiful Tasmania :)

Excellent trip, lots of ground covered. Can't think that anyone could get to see what we saw on their own, in the time. I was not sure if I can do the wineglass bay but Trent encouraged me and I did it!

A tour that took in the places in Tasmania that I had always wanted to visit. Full days with hikes, ice cream stops and so many opportunities to take fantastic photographs of bush, beach, lake, river, forest and creatures. Trent, our guide/driver, was very knowledgeable about places to find wildlife and the history of the places we visited. The hiking options were suitable for all ages. Amazing views, I tool a lot of photos! Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by tour guider Trent Cowan , he picked me up at my hostel which was a fanatic start! Trent is a very knowledge men and answered all of questions from our group, for that he deserves a special thanks. The scenery was breathtaking, the nature was stunning , of course very cute animals which you can explore all the way from beginning of the trip. Great local restaurants that you can have great seafood and wine, also, the food options are very Felix able. The accommodation was very comfortable, especially the balcony with the ocean views. Had a fabulous tour of Tassie with Trent! Saw a bunch of wildlife and all the top sights in just 4 days. Trent is an amazing guide, he had all the local spots staked out for us for food and wildlife viewing. I don’t think I would have had so much value for money with a larger tour company. I booked this tour as a solo traveller, and it was great! Aside from visiting national parks in Tassie, I was also able to do a lots walking and learn about the locals.
We spotted so many wild animals along the way. My favorite part is seeing wombats in Cradle Mountain and the walking track is so stunning.
I truly enjoyed the 4 days tour with Trent! He is very kind and knowledgeable! He is also very thoughtful, and are willing to go beyond! Definitely recommended!!

It was a unique and unforgettable experience for me. Trent was an extremely good tour guide with a great knowledge of cities and history, wildlife, nature and much more. The tour offered spectacular and varied destinations in a small group, which makes traveling a lot more enjoyable than many other tours. There was also plenty of humor The accommodations were generally very pleasant, but the wifi was sometimes not very good, which is not at all tragic.
To sum up, amazing tour, amazing guy, amazing adventure! The 5 stars are more than justified =) All luck for the future

Trent is a brilliant Tour Leader, and who made this tour extra special for me. He is extremely knowledgeable on a variety of topics, whether it be native birds and wildlife, plants and flowers, or the local history of each town or place visited on this 4 day Tasmania tour. His ability to find an elusive platypus for us to see in a creek in a small town was an impressive highlight! Trent is also happy to take questions, and I can't think of many that he couldn't answer on the spot, such is his wealth of expert knowledge.
