Itinerary
Day 1: Cradle Mountain World Heritage Area
Departs: Launceston 7:30am
Returns: Launceston 6:00pm
Overnight: Launceston (accommodation by own arrangement)
After departing Launceston, enjoy a short stop in Sheffield — the Town of Murals, Tasmania's own outdoor art gallery with over 100 paintings depicting the history of the Cradle Mountain region.
Arriving in Cradle Mountain National Park, we aim for 4–5 hours on the trails. We begin with the Enchanted Walk, an easy 20-minute circuit following Pencil Pine Creek. The main hike begins from Dove Lake with two options: the iconic Dove Lake Circuit (6 km, easy, 2–3 hours) around the lake beneath Cradle Mountain, or the climb to Marion's Lookout (about 4 km, medium grade) at 1,200 m for breathtaking 360° views. Stop for lunch, watch the famous friendly Cradle wombats, and visit Weindorfer's Chalet and the ancient King Billy pines.
On the return to Launceston, we refuel at the Van Diemen's Land Ice Creamery and Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, arriving around 6:00pm to conclude your Big 3 Adventure!
Day 2: Launceston to Hobart via Wineglass Bay & Freycinet National Park

We depart Launceston through the well-preserved Georgian townships of Evandale and Campbell Town, with a short stop to collect lunch, discover the Convict Brick Trail, visit the Red Bridge and see the tree sculptures depicting the town's history.
The amazing views of the Hazards greet us as we enter Freycinet National Park. We stretch our legs on the Cape Tourville Lighthouse circuit — a short, easy walk with spectacular 360° coastal views — before the main walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout (a moderate 45–60 minute uphill walk, 1.3 km up then down) for that world-famous view. The fit and keen can extend down to Wineglass Bay Beach (a 2.5-hour return walk); those returning from the lookout with the guide will have time to visit Honeymoon Bay in the afternoon.
We regroup for the return journey, with a final stop at the stunning Devil's Corner Winery (wine tasting, wood-fired pizza, fresh seafood and ice creams available at your own expense), arriving in Hobart around 6:00pm.
Day 3: Port Arthur & Tasmanian Devils
Departs: Hobart 7:30am
Returns: Hobart 6:00pm
We make an early start from Hobart and drive to the stunning Tasman Peninsula, home to Australia's highest sea cliffs. Enjoy panoramic views from Pirates Bay Lookout, then pass through Eaglehawk Neck and 'The Dogline' as your guides share stories of the area. We begin one of Tasmania's Great Short Walks — a spectacular 45-minute, easy clifftop track along Waterfall Bay, concluding at the remarkable Tasman Arch and Devil's Kitchen.
Next is the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, arriving in time for a Tasmanian Devil feeding — watch the snarling, fighting spectacle, hand-feed the wallabies, and walk among the local flora and fauna.
Continuing on, we arrive at the Port Arthur Historic Site. Entry includes a complimentary Harbour Cruise around the Isle of the Dead, 'The Port Arthur Experience' podcast, and guided site talks. With around 2.5 hours here, discover the grim history of the early Australian penal system in this World Heritage open-air museum.
On the return, we travel via the historic township of Richmond, with time to meander the streets and walk across Australia's oldest bridge still in use. We return to Hobart around 6:00pm.

Meals aren't provided, but there are plenty of opportunities to stop for lunch and snacks to suit your taste and budget, or bring your own.
Book your own accommodation to suit your budget and style. We pick up and drop off at select Hobart / Launceston central-city hotels only; the nearest location to your accommodation will be allocated. Please ensure you can load and unload your own luggage on Day 2.

“Just brilliant!”
We did their three day tour which was a whistle stop look at some of the main things to do here (cradle mountain, wineglass bay and port Arthur). Our guides Jessica and Heather were great - so informative and friendly and really made our experience fun and smooth. They also had raincoats and gloves for us to borrow when the weather turned. This tour was a great way to get a taste of the island and we did some really memorable activities - we’d definitely recommend it.

Really nice place to stay for 4 x nights. Emma was an excellent host full of information. Spacious and clean and tidy. Very handy for Launceston CBD. Heat pump probably needs replacing, oven bit old too. But no other complaints at all. Specially liked all the memorabilia for Donald Bradman - Cricketer nice personal touch, framed jigsaws were good too.

Loved my tour to Mt Field, Bonorong Sanctuary and up kunanyi. It was great being in a small group of 10, and David, our guide, was very knowledgeable and a great host, pointing out key things to look for and do throughout the day! Highly recommend this tour option!

We just finished the Big 3 and wow — it's amazing how much you see in three short days. We had a different guide each day (Ian, Nick and Damian), all unique and equally great, providing lots of information and answering every question with insightful local knowledge. A well-organised three-day tour where everything worked as promised. My only note was that day three felt a little overloaded, leaving less time than we'd have liked at the Unzoo. Otherwise a great trip.

We had the full day Bruny Island tour from Hobart and our guide was Annie an absolute awesome lady and we had a fantastic day with the guidance of Annie from tasting oysters honey and cheese to the stunning views was absolutely worth going
Booking this trip was the greatest decision I could have made — a last holiday with my sister and brother-in-law before I move overseas, and an unforgettable way to see Tasmania over three days.
An amazing trip and a must if you go to Tasmania. All the guides were fantastic, the tour supports local communities, and I learned lots about the island and met some great people along the way.
“A fantastic experience”
A fantastic three days. Day 1 was rainy but still fun — the Waterfall Bay clifftop walk with Devils Kitchen and Tasman Arch, the Unzoo (feeding kangaroos and seeing a devil fed), Port Arthur with a bay cruise, the Federation Chocolate Factory and Richmond. Day 2 took in Freycinet with a choice of walks to the Wineglass Bay lookout, Honeymoon Bay and the Cape Tourville lighthouse. Day 3 was Cradle Mountain, with a hike up to Marion's Lookout for spectacular views and the Dove Lake circuit, plus a cheese factory to finish. The days were long and tiring, but I'd do it all again — I saw and did so much, and the friendly, knowledgeable guides made each day run smoothly.
Quite possibly the best multi-day tour I've experienced across two separate visits to Australia. We had two drivers, Tony and Anthony, who both clearly loved what they do. Highly recommend this three-day trip.
The planning of the three days is very well done. Despite a reasonable amount of time on the road, it's broken up well with several very nice short stops along the way, so the days never drag.

I joined because travelling independently seemed difficult, and it was a great decision. The weather was good and it was a great way to see the World Heritage sites and national parks. Different driver-guides over the three days, all very pleasant and cheerful and attentive, with nice cafe stops along the way. Even those who aren't strong walkers can enjoy lunch with a view, and the guides tailor things to you — I was even able to try a different Cradle Mountain route after consulting mine. Recommended for all.
“Not too bad of a tour, just some things to watch out for”
The three-day tour covers most of the tourist areas you'd want in Tasmania. Timing is tight, so you complete each spot before moving on, and the guides were all very knowledgeable — the Cradle Mountain guide explained the history of the plants and place in detail. A couple of practical notes: the samples at one chocolate stop tasted better than what we took home, so buy just one pack to try first; and the vehicle is a small van without a restroom, and journeys can run 1-2 hours. The ice creams at the other stops were great!

A big thumbs up! We had three guides over three days. Cradle Mountain on day one gave plenty of time to walk and spot wild wombats and wallabies (our guide Graeme rightly reminded us not to touch the wildlife, and jackets, socks and gloves were available to borrow). Day two brought spectacular Wineglass Bay views and lunch at calm, clear Honeymoon Bay, then Nick drove us to Hobart with a delicious Berry Farm ice cream stop. On day three, Nick's enthusiasm and knowledge shone as he shared the history of Port Arthur, the Tasman Arch, Devils Kitchen and quirky Doo Town, finishing at the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo. All the guides were wonderful — thank you for making our Tassie trip unforgettable!

“Best tour I did in Australia”
I did the 3-day Hobart-to-Launceston tour taking in Port Arthur, Freycinet and Cradle Mountain, with a different guide each day — Nick, David and Graeme, all fantastic and organised. The Dove Lake Circuit on day three was very rainy but they provided raincoats (bring an extra sweatshirt and socks to change into). The Unzoo was fantastic on day one, and Graeme made sure we saw a wombat on day three, with plenty of toilet and food stops. Highly recommend!

I did the Big 3 with my family and we had an amazing time — highly recommended for seeing many of Tasmania's natural wonders efficiently and flexibly. The operators were knowledgeable and responsive before the trip, which covers spread-out sites you'd otherwise need a rental car for, with easy/medium/hard options for every walk and ample time to explore. The guides made it feel tailored: Graeme was perfect for our two hiking days — passionate, full of tips, even sharing his own outdoor essentials — and Nick was ideal for the Port Arthur and Tasman Peninsula history day, engaging and full of answers. A great introduction to Tasmania, visiting several important, interesting places while learning the state's and country's history. The small group (10-12) travelling by van meant the guide could interact with everyone. I did the Big Three from Launceston to Hobart — a great introduction to a beautiful state, packing a lot into each day and definitely good value. Our three guides (Rod, Clinton and David) were each great, with lots of walking that suited many fitness levels. Some reviews call it rushed, but I liked spending short times in many places rather than the opposite, and being picked up and dropped at my chosen accommodation. Plenty of stops for restrooms and food. Well done!
