Tours = Trees
For every tour booked, we plant a tree through One Tree Planted.
It comes at no extra cost to you. This one’s on us.
Why trees?
Trees clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Forests are still being cleared faster than they are replanted, so the time to act is now.
When you book, we’ll ask which country you would like your tree planted in. Whether it’s Australia, Indonesia or Canada, your choice goes towards One Tree Planted’s reforestation work.
We also think it’s important to consider the impact travel has on the environment and its wildlife. By donating a small percentage of what we make to the organisations below, we hope to help look after the planet for future generations.
Other Charities We Support
The Australian Orangutan Project
The Australian Orangutan Project (AOP) is a not-for-profit organisation supporting orangutan conservation, rainforest protection, local community partnerships, and the rehabilitation and reintroduction of displaced orangutans back to the wild. AOP collaborates with several orangutan conservation projects and provides habitat protection through its own programs, working to deter wildlife poaching, illegal logging and land clearing in Indonesia.
Wildlife Warriors
Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors was established in 2002 by Steve and Terri Irwin as a way to involve other caring people in the protection of injured, threatened or endangered wildlife – from the individual animal to an entire species. Their mission is to be the most effective wildlife conservation organisation in the world through outstanding outcome-based programs and projects.
Sea Shepherd
Established in 1977, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is an international non-profit marine wildlife conservation organisation. Its mission is to end the destruction of habitat and the slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species. Sea Shepherd uses direct-action tactics to investigate, document and confront illegal activity on the high seas, safeguarding the biodiversity of ocean ecosystems for future generations.
The Jane Goodall Institute
Founded by Dr Jane Goodall in 1977, the Jane Goodall Institute continues her pioneering work with wild chimpanzees and her community-centred approach to conservation. The Institute protects chimpanzees and their forest habitat across Africa, runs sanctuary and rehabilitation programs for orphaned and rescued chimpanzees, and works alongside the communities that live nearest the forests. Its Roots & Shoots program supports young people in more than 60 countries to run their own conservation projects.
Your Favourite Charity
If there is a charity or a cause you love, you can nominate it on the bookings page of your chosen tour. The funds that would ordinarily have gone to another charity are donated to your chosen cause instead.
How it Works
For every tour booked, we plant a tree through One Tree Planted. When you book, we’ll ask which country you want your tree planted in. It comes at no extra cost to you.
