- You drive a Toyota 4WD Troopy yourself, in a tag-along convoy behind an experienced guide, with the ferry from Rainbow Beach to Hook Point. A $250 refundable insurance deposit per person is collected on day 1, or you can pay a $10 excess reduction fee instead.

- Two breakfasts and two dinners. Continental breakfasts, and dinner cooked at camp. There is also a drink and nibbles at the post-tour party.

“Fraser Island was the coolest spot ever”
I traveled with the Palace Fraser island crew. Steve was our tour guide. He was great fun and had some good jokes all week. We did the 2 night and 3 day camping. A real camping experience. We went to some amazing places in the toyota 4x4 jeeps. Great fun and very relaxed!

this tour was without a doubt one of the best experiences i have done!! Charge was our tour guide and he had continuous energy, so factual and funny, he made the tour! every place we were taken was so beautiful, lake mckenzie especially! the cars were so much fun to drive down the beach blasting music, we made so many friends and were just always laughing. the accommodation was fine for the 3 days, although i did feel very hungry every day! one thing to improve would be to give more food during the day as the lunch/ snacks isn't enough!
“Amazing experience, best trip we have done in Australia!”
Fraser Island is beautiful, and even though there was a king tide and cyclone it was still worth every penny. Our guide ‘Charge’ was truely an unbelievable guy and made the trip the best it could of been with all his knowledge and enthusiasm. We travelled as a couple and were a little nervous at first, but we made so many friends and it was so much fun! Wish we could do it all again. Highly recommend.

We had a great 3 day trip with a very nice guide, knowing a lot about local traditions and culture. The accommodation is quite good, I would recommend the dorms and not the tents. The food is very basic, but does the job.

Went on a 3 day 2 night tour with Nomads and had the time of my life. SO much fun. Had an awesome group and guide (Steve). Stayed both nights in a teepee and they are huge and spacious and definitely worth it because when do you ever get to sleep in a teepee? You are given the option to drive the vehicle or just ride (need a drivers license). Make sure you have a fun care because that will be the car that you are in for the 3 days! Super fun time if you are ever able to do it, DO IT! (also the island itself is BEAUTIFUL!)

“AMAZING adventure - don't miss out!!”
My friend and I did the 2n/3d 4x4 tour of Fraser Island with Nomads and had the time of our lives. Driving around the island, exploring its hidden gems, getting to know everyone on the tour was an absolute blast. Definitely recommend staying at nomads the day before/after your tour, makes everything so much easier. Resort/cars/food were all great - showers are FREE there (heard they weren't on other parts of the island). Bar and beach are right there which is fantastic. Get ready to party, bring sunblock, don't feed the dingos and take the day off when you return - you'll need it!

Fraser island was a beautiful island full of life, being allowed to drive around 4x4 jeeps just made it better. Our guide Bazza was an amazing guy who really went out of his way to help and accommodate us, while also joining us in conversations and such. A really great guide who was working his hardest! I was lucky to also have an amazing group of tourists with me, we all quickly coalesced into one big group, which meant that the welcome back party in Noosa was extremely fun and melancholic at the same time.

My first ever experience at Fraser was definitely an unforgettable one! Not only were the places we saw great but as well the people and our tour guide Karl. Karl and his knowledge of the island and each individual place was second-to-none!! Despite being very professional he never failed to have a smile on his face and there was never a dull moment. I would most definitely recommend this tour as well as our tour guide to anyone (young or old, family or friends). So glad I chose to do the 3 day 2 night and hope every other person who does this tour is lucky enough to get Karl!

One of the best things I've done on my travels up the coast!! Went on a 3 days - 2 nights trip and had the best tour guide, Karl! He made us all feel welcome, well informed, safe and with the best mood. He knew so much about the island and had so many interesting and funny stories to share. The daily schedule was well planned with yummy food breaks. Dinner time was also well organised and very tasty! I had an amazing time with all the new people I met on the island, that will stick through life! Would really recommend this tour!! Thanks a lot everyone that made it awesome!

I did the 3 day 2 night tour with Paul and it was fantastic! We saw so many amazing attractions such as Lake Mackenzie and Indian Head (my favourite) and we were given so much interesting history about the island by Paul.
I recommend camping in the teepees as it was such a fun experience.

Just on the coach back from Fraser. Absolutely gutted to be leaving such a wonderful place. I did the 3days and 2nights tag along tour with the brilliant Tony "Tdaawwwg" the tour was unbelievable i highly recommend
Going!! The price was absolutely bang on did not feel short changed at all!! All the tour guides really put in a shift for you to see everything but with no rushing around or anything all the stops we went to were picturesque and worthy of the "perfect selfie".All the food we ate was good quality and plenty for everyone.
Our guide Tony was brilliant. Really down to earth guy who knows Fraser like the back of his hands!! Make sure you go to the beach and drag him down with you the guy has amazing stories

This Nomads 3 day / 2 night tag along tour was amazing! Our tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable about the island and guided us all on how to drive the 4WD in sand! I loved the freedom, flexibility and structure of the 3 days, taking us all over the island but giving us heaps of time to enjoy each spot. I felt very safe and secure the whole time but not controlled. I gained an appreciation of the naturalness of the island. I loved the guide, Paul, who took care to make us aware of the Aboriginal history and made sure we were safe in the self-drive 4-wheel drives, and he's great with people. He gave us plenty of time to do our own thing at each spot. For me the tour struck the right balance of naturalness and freedom, it wasn't "managed" or touristy.

Fraser island with nomads is a must if you are travelling the east coast of Australia! I loved driving the 4x4's on the beaches, we named the car RHONDA and we were all female drivers driving the manual car and we smashed it!! Paul was an amazing tour guide making sure we were enjoying every second of it and also teaching us about the amazing history of the island! I loved lake mckenzie but all the places we visited were stunning! I met the most amazing people on the trip and I stayed in one of the tents which was a great experience. Wish I could do it all over again!

Had a great time driving a 4WD on the biggest sand island in the world! We had a really cool guide, get to check out Mackenzie lake, Ellie Creek, Indian heads, the Champagne pools, an other green lake I can't remember the name! We did so much in 3 days and we've all been able to drive which was pretty cool! Stayed next to a nice resort in a 6 bed dorm, had a kitchen for a group and could even use the swimming pool!

There was a lot of anticipation surrounding this trip from reviews of fellow travellers but I did not know what to expect, therefore I arrived with very little expectation. However over the 3 days I was blown away with every aspect. The organisation from the staff, the activities we did, the resort we stayed at, the other travellers on the trip. Also a special mention to our tour guide Kev! (Kevo)
The amount of laughter that filled the trip between the group was enormous. You can have great banter between the cars via walkie talkie. As the question master, I ensured we always had a laugh coming through. Kevo educated us at each stop including the shipwreck on the beach, the creek and lake Mckenzie. He put our safety first without sucking the fun out of anything.
