A beautiful spot in Kuranda with lovely butterflies, and the plants and fairy garden were a big hit. It was busy being in a tourist area and the enclosure was smaller than I expected, but the breeding program out the back was good.
So many gorgeous butterflies, and they're happy to land on your hat or shoulder, so wash off any insect repellent first. Beau the gardener shared his passion with us, one butterfly even laid eggs on me, and the museum's world collection is stunning.

Far better than I expected and so informative that I now love moths too. Our guide Rick took us through the butterfly and moth nursery, and his pink top even drew two Ulysses butterflies to our little group.
