Enjoy the comfort and privacy of this stylish catamaran. Fully crewed with a skipper and hostess, Whitsunday Getaway is an ideal way to escape the crowds and let us take all the responsibility for the Charter. We will transport you into a relaxed world of sailing, taking you directly and comfortably to the most scenic locations, the least crowded beaches and proven quiet calm safe anchorages.
The small group numbers allow us to visit pristine locations within the marine park, seeing the best of the Whitsunday Islands whilst avoiding the crowds. Whitsunday Getaway is a Lagoon 440 sailing catamaran that features four private cabins with ensuites that are all independently air-conditioned. This 13-metre spacious catamaran offers not only stability but great sailing. With a huge deck area to relax on, a comfortable, cushioned forward seating area, a large covered aft deck saloon and a spacious flybridge with a 360-degree view.
DAY 1
Arrive at Coral Sea Marina South to begin your Whitsunday sailing adventure!
Your skipper and hostess will be waiting to greet you and welcome you aboard your floating home for the next few days. Once we complete our safety briefing, we are off sailing through surreal island scenery taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean and enjoying the fresh air and sun. The Whitsunday beauty is seemingly endless while we cruise the open water. Take the opportunity to learn from your knowledgeable crew on the works of a sailing boat while we search for the perfect bay to drop anchor for the night.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned sailor, we encourage you to try your hand at sailing and learn as much as you can from the experienced crew who are always happy to share their skills, love and knowledge of the ocean life! Alternatively, sit back and relax with a refreshing drink instead, soaking up the serenity of the sailing vessel while the crew go about their duties.
Today is a brief but exciting one as we venture out deeper into the Whitsunday’s - Enjoy your evening with some pre-dinner drinks and make some new friends with your fellow travellers. Your hosts will be prepare your first gourmet meal. After dinner, continue relaxing with the company of your new mates, taking in the tranquillity surrounding you. When you’re ready to sleep, head down to your chosen beds and cabins and turn in for a pleasant nights rest being gently rocked to sleep by the movement of the ocean.
DAY 2
Today we’re up early with a nice hot cup of tea or coffee while the crew prepare your delicious continental breakfast.
After a pleasant morning sail, it’s time to visit the world famous Whitehaven Beach, with its beautiful white sand and tranquil coastline. Experience first hand why so many visitors rank this as one of the best beaches in the world.
After enjoying a few hours sun and sand on the beach, your crew will take you on an informative guided bush walk through to Hill Inlet lookout. This view is not to be missed as it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to view the stunning and intriguing swirling sands that make this place so well known.
After a superb buffet lunch near the beach, its time to get back onboard the boat and continue our adventure to the northern Whitsunday Islands to snorkel some of the best reefs in the world - full of beautiful and vibrant marine life, this is truely to be a highlight of your trip.
As the evening starts to set in, we set sail and prepare to drop anchor for the night at another spectacular location. Time to relax and reflect with new friends on the days activities.
DAY 3
Today is an adventure packed day where we explore many of the Whitsunday Island’s northern highlights. Today is filled with lounging on deck, learning to sail and snorkelling on incredible reefs. Some of the locations may visit are:
- Langford Reef
- Manaray Bay
- Butterfly Bay
- Nara Inlet
- Tongue Bay
There are lots of other great spots available and we usually leave it up to the weather and wind to tell us where's good for the day.
Enjoy all we have to offer as we leisurely sail around this stunning marine park where time just seems to fade away.
During June through September, each year vast number of whales migrate from Antarctica to the Whitsundays to give birth to calves and mate. The most common whale that you will see during this period are Humpbacks although occasionally other types such as Minkies can be spotted.
DAY 4
Enjoy your final breakfast and take the opportunity for one last snorkel on todays chosen reef, or try your hand at stand-up paddle-boarding ( if available ). Afterwards, as we sail back towards Airlie Beach, take in all the beauty of the Whitsundays and it’s incredible archipelago whilst soaking in the sun and atmosphere of being on a sailing vessel.
When we have returned to mainland, we guarantee you will remember this trip with fond memories and new friends. Back home on the land, we say farewell and wish you all the best for your future travels. Returning to Coral Sea Marina South.

Sample Menu
All meals are made onboard with skill and diligence to make the dining experience alone a pleasing element of your trip aboard Whitsunday Getaway. Using fresh locally sourced and seasonal produce to bring you a mixture of hearty home-cooked style meals and refined cuisine.
Day 1
- Welcome Snacks: Anzac biscuits and fresh fruit with cordial
- Sunset Snack: Cheese and meat platter with a variety of dips, carrots, celery and crackers
- Dinner: Reef fish in coconut and lime marinade, stir-fried broccoli, marble potato mash, crunchy noodle salad and breadstick
- Dessert: Cheesecake with whipped cream
Day 2
- Breakfast: Tropical fruit salad with croissants, cereals, yoghurt, orange juice, tea and coffee
- Lunch: Meat platter with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, tuna salad served with bread rolls
- Afternoon Tea: Lamingtons with tea and coffee or cordial
- Sunset Snack: Whitsunday Nachos with sour crème and guacamole
- Dinner: Marinated Chicken with pesto pasta salad, pear and rocket salad and breadsticks
- Dessert: Chocolate cake with whipped cream
Day 3
- Breakfast: Pancakes with fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, orange juice, tea and coffee
- Lunch: BBQ chicken with potato salad, garden salad and wraps
- Afternoon Tea: TimTams with tea and coffee or cordial
- Sunset Snack: Spinach and ricotta triangles with sweet chilli sauce
- Dinner: BBQ steaks and sausages with caramelized onions, mushrooms, carrots, Greek salad and dinner rolls
- Dessert: Meringue with whipped cream, berries, kiwi fruit topped with chocolate sauce
Day 4
- Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with English muffins, cereals, yoghurt, orange juice, tea and coffee
- Return Snacks: Antipasto platter with brie, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, dips and crackers
Fresh fruit and cookies are available for passengers all day. The menu is designed based on fresh seasonal ingredients and is subject to change. Alcohol is BYO, and glass bottles and red wine are permitted onboard exclusively.
