“Great Sailing Adventure”
I had a great time during my tour with powerplay. The skipper Jimmy and host Goldie made this trip a really good one.
The group was chilled and relaxed (ages between 20 and 35): in for a drink and cardgames in the evening but not going totally crazy.
I loved the time in the hottub under a sky full of stars, we succeeded to fit 12(!!) people in this 2m by 1m bath.
The snorkling was nice and the paddle boarding by sunrise was really good aswell. Also the food was really tasty!
“Great trip on Powerplay”
6 of us had a really good time on the Powerplay boat. 18 people total, who all fitted comfortably. The crew made everyone feel chilled out and welcome, particularly Esti and Jacqui, who were really good fun and helpful. Would definitely recommend and thanks for having us.

“Best Whitsundays trip”
My freind and I went on the Powerplay Adventure and absolutley loved it!! The Crew were so awesome, and took great care of everyone on board. I liked that this boat was only 18 people wich made it easier to get to know everyone and was crowded. They took us to some breathtaking spots and we got to see lots of underwater life. Bring an underwater camera for this tour, because you will see lots of amazing things. They took us to Whithaven beach wich is a must see when booking any tour! I would highly recommend these guys!
“Not a party boat”
I was hoping for a party boat as this was how it was described to me by the travel agent but it was far from this, it was more a couples boat. I'm 28 and work FIFO so a party is exactly what I was in need of but unfortunately this didn't happen HOWEVER I still had a fantastic time!! My intentions of partying quickly changed and I focused more of my attention on snorkelling.
To start of I thought that the skipper (Ian) was fantastic. His briefings throughout the trip were short and to the point, Chris (assistant) was super friendly and Charlie (scuba dive instructor) was rude, arrogant and overall not friendly. This opinion was not only shared by me but it was a unanimous decision off the majority of the boat. I feel collectively this team should have made each person on the boat introduce and tell a little about themselves, this never happened. Activities at night too was organised by the passengers but I feel this should have been spear headed by the staff.
A powerplay representative in their office was also very accommodating regarding a scuba dive that had to be reimbursed. Basically a passenger paid for a scuba dive even though he previously bought a voucher for it but the travel agent never put this voucher number on his booking details.
The food was basic but there wasn't enough. 1 chicken drumstick each along with salad and pasta isn't going to be suffice for growing adults. We were given the option to bring food but was told by the travel agent that there's an abundance of food on board...talking to other backpackers on rival boat companies they had too much food. I suppose the only plus about there not being enough food is that there was ZERO wastage!! Simply a bit more meat would have been better.
The snorkelling gear was fine as too was the scuba diving equipment.
I was sleeping in the dinning and kitchen area which became very cold at night. Extra blankets weren't available and despite being fully clothed it was still cold. We all paid the same rate to get on the boat yet others were lucky enough to get a private double room or shared double room. Some passengers were shocked they had to share a double room so make sure you ask the travel agent the exact layout of the sleeping accommodation!
Take sea sickness tablets even if you have never been sea sick as it can get REALLY ROUGH! I have never been sea sick in my life but then again I have never been on such a small boat exposed to such high winds and open sea. I still was fine but lots of others started to get sick!
FINALLY Powerplay is a boat I would get on again, the two nights and two days was great. If anything I'd hope Charlie wasn't on the boat!!
