What we do
An ancient landscape blessed with stunning sunsets and dark night skies full of stars. This is the Pinnacles Desert, now an internationally renowned stargazing destination.
This small group tour includes the use of the latest Astronomy Equipment to help you get the most out of your stargazing experience. We have a powerful computerised telescope and astro binoculars for your use so that you can see the planets and our moon in great detail. There is also the option to attach your smartphone to the telescope to take pictures of the moon.
The tour runs all year round, the night sky changes throughout the seasons and although it is a bit colder, autumn, winter and spring are some of the best times of the year to see the Milky Way and Planets in the Southern Hemisphere.
While you wait for the stars and planets to appear, enjoy a traditional Australian Barbeque Dinner with a glass of Swan Valley wine as you watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean.
We specialise in small group tours using our modern luxury Mini Buses which allows us to drive in to the middle of the Pinnacles Desert for your Stargazing Experience. This tour regularly sells out so please book early to avoid missing out.
The first stop on the tour is the Lancelin Bakery for a quick coffee/food & toilet stop before heading in to the sand dunes for sand boarding. We then follow the turquoise coast along Indian Ocean Drive doing a few stops along the way to see wildflowers in season as well as a guided walk to see native plants used the the Aborigines for food and medicine.
We end the tour with dinner under the stars in the Pinnacles desert where you will get the opportunity to get a close up look at the stars and planets through our telescope, try your hand at Astrophotography, learn about Aboriginal Astronomy and hear stories from the Aboriginal Dreamtime as they relate to the night sky.
The final part of the evening is a Sound Healing session by candelight in the desert. This ancient healing practice is the perfect way to slow down and connect with nature as you listen to a live performance of a didgeridoo and crystal sound healing bowl.

What should I pack?
Depending on where in Australia or New Zealand you decide to visit, your luggage will vary. For exact information please visit the "What to bring" section of each tour page.
What immunisations do I need?
For the latest information on immunisations, we strongly recommend you or contact the Travellers Medical and Vaccination Centre (www.traveldoctor.com.au) to discuss health requirements for your trip. They will advise you about appropriate inoculations.
Do I need to take any medical supplies?
It is not necessary to bring any medical supplies other than any personal items you may require. Each tour will carry an first aid box and our guides are all certified in First Aid.
How much luggage can I take?
We don't have an exact policy when it comes to luggage though we just ask our customers to be mindful that we have limited space. Generally we recommend people to bring a large backpack/suitcase with all their gear and another smaller backpack to keep on the bus and hold their daily items ( phone, water bottle, towel, sunscreen etc ) and which they used to take on walks etc. If you have a lot of luggage is best to leave the things you don't need at your hotel/hostel where they will store it for free.
Where can I store my luggage whilst on tour?
During the tour your main luggage will be stored in our trailer. This trailer is always locked however we cannot guarantee the complete safety of your gear from theft or damage. This is why it is so important to purchase a good travel insurance. If you need to store your luggage whilst away on tour, this can be done through your accommodation. Most hostel and hotels will store your luggage safely free of charge.
Will I be able to do any laundry whilst on tour?
For camping tours there will be no time to do laundry. However, for longer cross country tours involving hostel or hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to wash your clothes.
Do I need a sleeping bag?
For all camping tours require you to have a sleeping bag. If you don't have one they may be available for hire via the "join tour" button.
How fit do I need to be?
Our tours are made to be fun, informative and active and can be enjoyed by anyone with a moderate degree of fitness and agility. Travellers should be comfortable with hiking/walking up to 5km each day.
Do I need travel insurance?
Insurance is important in protecting visitors from loss or damange of goods, medical problems, cancelation by passengers or other casualties. Its highly recommended. Some tours on this website require you to have travel insurance. If you are Australian then it is not necessary.
Can I get online whilst travelling?
For tours incorporating hostel/hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to use wireless internet or use of nearby internet cafe. If you have a mobile plan with internet then that should be ok except for more remote regions. This will vary from tour to tour so please contact us directly for more accurate information.
Will I be able to use my mobile whilst on tour?
You can use your mobile while touring in Australia or New Zealand, but coverage may be limited in remote areas. For best connectivity, consider purchasing a local SIM card or an international roaming plan.

Do I have to book this tour online?
Definitely not. Our website is designed to make is easy and convenient for you to schedule your tour. However we understand sometimes its nice to talk to someone directly. So by all means give us a call and we can organise your trip over the phone.
If I book more than one tour can I get a discount?
Absolutely! If you are booking multiple tours then we may be able to offer you a discount. Send us an email at info@lostinaustralia.org and let us know what you thinking of doing and we can put together a price for you.Also, be sure to look out for monthly specials on tours. We often have some great bargains.
How do I know when a tour is available?
You can check the departure dates of tours by using our calendar on the top right hand corner of the tour page. This will tell you what days the tour departs. For availability of seats please contact us directly at info@lostinaustralia.org or call us.
Can I just do a section of this tour and not the whole trip?
Unfortunately it is not possible to only do a part of the tour. Passengers generally need to stay with the tour from start to finish.However, drop off locations at the end of the tour made me negotiated.
Does the tour price include flights?
No. Tour prices do not include any travel arrangements other than for the duration of the tour itself. If you need assistance with booking flights or buses our travel team and certainly help - Just ask!
How far in advance do I need to book my tour?
As a rule of thumb we generally say AT LEAST 2 weeks prior to departure, this will usually get you a seat on the date you want. That being said, we cannot guarantee that spaces will be available at the time of your booking so, if you can, book as soon as possible. Bookings can still be made right up until the departure date of the tour if seats are available. If you know when you'd like to travel, please contact us and we will let you know if you need to book soon or if you have time.
If I make a deposit only, when will I need to pay the balance?
Balance on tours need to be paid at least 30 days prior to departure. Failure to do so could result is the cancellation of your seat with a fee charged. If you need more time to clear your balance then let us know ASAP and arrangements can be made.
Who travels with us
Is this tour for me?
Our tours are made up of small groups with a range of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Generally people who travel with us are between 20 and 49, though we also get alot passengers much older onboard - everyone is welcome! On tour we get equally as many males as females and everyone shares an enthusiasm for the out doors, nature, adventure and culture. Our tours are for those wanting to really explore and share the experience with likeminded travellers. Whether we are camping by a billabong in Kakadu National Park or sharing a cabin in Tasmania, our travellers want more than just a site seeing tour. They are chasing a hands on group experience. The trips are packed with many highlights and the pace can be fast. There may be some long drives and passengers should expect to help out when setting up camp or cooking food - this is a group adventure. However, there’s always time to chill out, have a cold beer ( or wine! ) and soak up your surroundings. As always, if in doubt then contact us directly with your concerns.
Cost and Fees
What does "Paid Locally" mean?
Some tours require you to pay national park fees directly, in cash, to the tour guide on the morning of departure. Rest assured this will be subtracted from the tour price when reserving your tour.
Will I need additional money?
Visitors are advised to bring some cash as ATMs and banks can be few and far between depending on where we are during the trip. Its handy to have some extra cash as we do stop by local shops and cafe.
Do I need to tip our guide?
If you had an amazing time on tour and wish to tip the guide, then that is completely up to you. However, tipping is not customary and is not at all expected.
Are there any hidden fees I need to know about?
Our tour prices are completely transparent. There are no additional fees involved that are not included in the overall tour price shown. If you wish to do optional activities such as helicopter rides or wildlife safaris, then an extra cost may be needed. However, this will always be made clear at the time of your booking.
Whilst on tour
What type of tent will I get?
Tents are generally designed to accommodate a minimum of 2 people. This means there is plenty of room to move about and store your luggage. However, most Uluru tours we try and encourage the use of swags and mattress rather than tents. This is the ideal way to camp in the centre of Australia; Around a campfire, under the stars!
What will the food be like?
Our emphasis is on fresh food wherever possible and our meals are nutritious and varied on these tours. If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant we can cater for you, but if you have very specific dietary needs you may need to provide your own food, please discuss this at time of booking. For breakfast we supply cereals, fruits, toast, tea and coffee. Lunch is usually a self-serve picnic sandwich and salads; in the evening we have a cooked dinner - This can vary between pastas, bbqs, rices and other hearty food to keep you energized! We always carry water in the vehicle and you will often have the chance to buy your own drinks, ice-creams etc at stops. Please refer to each individual tour/package to establish which meals are included.
Can you cater of special diets?
We can certain cater for most dietary needs. Please advise us at the time of your booking so arrangements can be made. For travellers with more extreme diets we may ask that you bring along additional snacks.
Can I book extra accommodation for the start and end of the tour?
We know our country inside and out and would be happy to give you good recommodations. Please contact us for recommendations.

What is the weather like in Western Australia?
WA is Australia’s largest state, comprising one-third of its land mass. In the north much of the landscape is barren. The Great Sandy Desert fringes the central-west coast. The Nullarbor, a vast dry plain, sweeps across the south and over the border into South Australia (SA). The southwestern corner of the state is a fertile area of forest and vineyards, and is only small in comparison to the size of the rest of WA.Interesting variations in landscape include the Kimberley in the extreme north of the state, a wild and rugged area with a convoluted coastline and stunning inland gorges.The Pilbara, in the northwest, is magnificent ancient-rock and gorge country from which the state derives vast mineral wealth. Away from the coast most of WA is simply a huge empty stretch of outback: along with the Nullarbor Plain and the Great Sandy Desert, the Gibson and Great Victoria Deserts cover much of the state.It’s tropical in the north, where the Dry and Wet seasons replace winter and summer. The Dry lasts from June to August and the Wet from December to February, with monsoonal rain falling from January onwards. The rain can render roads impassable and Port Hedland weathers a serious cyclone at least every two years. In the interior the climate is semi-arid and arid. The southwest of WA is temperate. It’s often above 25°C here while the average temperature along the Kimberley coast is a heavenly 28°C. Up in the Pilbara temperatures can soar to an enthusiasm-depleting 48°C.
What sort of accommodation, vehicles and facilities do we use?
Accommodation on the tour is a mixture of National Parks, camp grounds (with showers and toilets), bush camps (no facilities). Every night in your swag. When camping we use swags with foam mattresses. We like to be flexible with our camping spots as sometimes weather conditions will dictate the best place to camp. We travel in an air-conditioned Mini Bus (maximum of 18 passengers across the Nullarbor) with a purpose built camping trailer.

We had such a brilliant time on the Pinnacles tour, despite the weather, everything was perfect & the clouds cleared to show us the glory of our universe, the Pinnacles are amazing & really do speak for themselves, Gavin is so informative & pointed out various constellations & viewing Saturn & Jupiter through a telescope is something I'll never forget! Thank you, Gavin and Sam, for the Sandra Cunliffeon the Pinnacles sunset and stargazing with BBQ dinner tour. We were lucky to see the row of satellites gliding across the sky. Gavin brought out the large telescopes that we were allowed to look through and get images of the moon. We also went bushwalking and viewed the coast. Oh, and the sand dunes were so much fun. It was amazing and something I will always remember. It's a must do if you go to Perth WA.

The tour exceeded my expectations, it starts with being super punctual for picking up at the meeting point, in fact it arrived up to 10 minutes early, the places we went through were super beautiful and the driver Sam was super friendly, kind and polite. The sky at Pinnacle is surreally beautiful, it was one of the most incredible and unforgettable sunsets and moonlights I've ever seen. The end of the night where Gavin explains about the stars was also really fun. There were many things that I didn't even expect, where I say that it exceeded my expectations, but that's just you going to check it out to find out because if not I won't write until tomorrow hehehe. I highly recommend it!

From sand-boarding, short trek walk to desert stargazing, Gavin is a great tour guide who shared lots of Aussie stories and information/knowledge about Mother Nature. Pick-up and Drop-off service is considered as the tour goes from noon to night, we all got good care by Gavin. Overall it’s a great tour to participate, unique experience can be expected, the scenery outside of the city, and even rare in the world - highly recommended especially if you are a stargazing lover.

Sand dune slides, Pinnacles walk and Stargazing is operated by many tour agencies.
However, our trip was enhanced by Sam, and his team mate, our driver/ guide. They were knowledgeable alot of fun to talk, Their jokes cracked us up and really admired Sam for his attentiveness as well.

I really enjoyed this tour; the itinerary was great and it was very well run. I was originally going to hire a car for the day, but the tour turned out more cost efficient. Our driver Gavin was super friendly and really knowledgeable on the history of the area and the universe. The main event is the pinnacles, but the sand dunes were equally as spectacular. Paired with dinner and a glass of wine, made for a great day trip.

The best tour I ever had. Worth every penny. Gavin is amazing from the start to the end. Very well organised. We had so much fun to all the places we stopped by but the highlight definitely the star gazing part. This tour is tops! Gavin cooks up a great BBQ at the end of the day. His knowledge of the stars and photography is outstanding and was a great comfort to me as new to astrophotography that I had the right settings and where to take the best shots. The Pinnacles is a definite must see if you go to WA. The landscape is full of history and keeps you wondering how these rock formations were formed. I would highly recommend Lumineer Adventure Tours to one and all.

If I could, I would give this tour even more than a five star rating!!!!
Where do start:
First of all loved that they offered pick up and drop off service.
Sandboarding in 'Australian Dubai' was soo much fun.
Afterwards on our way to the Pinnacles National Park we got to see an Emu and serval Kangaroos in the wild!
Once we were in the Pinnacles the sunset was just wow amazing and afterwards seeing the stars in the sky so clear was just another next level experience.
Thank you soo much to Gavin for taking some pretty amazing pictures of us with the stars in the background.
Uhhh did I mentioned we camped out there and had some lovely drinks and a barbie?
So as you can see this tour is 5/5 or even 10/5.
Big shout out also to skip loved your jokes and just to chat with you while driving up there!

This tour was amazing. From start to finish a wonder of different landscapes, scenery and sky views. Our tour guide Gavin was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Shares lots of stories of the areas we are driving through. The Pinnacles are a wonder that seem to appear from no where. It was a very windy day but Gavin and Jack managed to set up a nice wind break and serve up a delicious dinner. The best part for us was the night sky views. Great tour! Highly recommend and drop off back at your hotel which is very convenient. Would have loved more info on dreaming stories and how the indigenous folk lived on country as well as some local history but that’s just me. Would absolutely recommend this tour! It had a bit of everything we wanted on the itinerary - the convenience of a cbd hotel pick up, sand boarding, the views, Pinnacles sunset and stargazing and a superb dinner in the dessert. This is an amazing tour which is really worth the time and money! Gavin is an amazing tour guide with lots of knowledge and experience of the north side of Perth. Great way to kill a day. Skip was a great guide and kept things light hearted and fun. We went on the night of the Geminid meteor shower but ran out of time since the shower really picks up at 2 AM but the park closes at 9 PM. However Skip was cool with stopping on the way back so we could get another chance at catching a few meteors (and we did!) Amazing day, highly recommend it you'll be absolutely spent by the end.

Absolutely loved this tour and would highly recommend to anyone. Its very informal and perfect for anyone who wants to experience something a little different. The sandboarding was great fun, but, it wasn't obligatory and an alternative was available for those not so nimble on their feet. Catching the Pinnacles at Sunset is just magical. It brought an emotional moment for me that just made my trip to Oz.

Yesterday, I attended the Pinnacles Sunset Stargazing Tour and had the best time. I have limited mobility but can walk a little. When we got to the sand dunes I assumed I would have to just wait in the bus BUT with the help of our tour guide, Gavin, (and The Happiness Crew team) I got to go down the sand dunes twice! I felt so happy and included. Also, sorry if you have a sore back today Gavin - soft sand mixed with a fully grown adult is not the best combo haha. Gavin was also happy to help get my walker in and out of the bus at every stop. The experience itself was very well planned and organized too. I loved learning about the stars and the Pinnacles (especially the dreamtime stories). Really could not recommend this company enough! Would give them 100 thousand million stars if I could (that's an estimate of how many stars in the Milky Way).

I absolutely loved this tour. Gavin our guide was fantastic and knowledgeable. I loved learning about the trees and flowers we drove past as well as the stories of the stars. The sand boarding over the beautiful white sand dunes was so fun and we were able to have many goes and even stand up!
This tour was not rushed. We got to spend ample amounts of time at the sand dunes and at the pinnacles which was very relaxing and meant we got to properly experience the sunset and see all the stars!

It's a big afternoon out, but totally worth the effort. Fearing the rain in Perth was going to spoil our sunset and star gazing plans, we trusted Gavin's assurances, which were proven correct, and experienced a gorgeous sunset, hearty meal and cloudless night for stargazing. Throw in some sand boarding and wildflowers and it was an epic trip. Totally worth it despite the long bus ride, but nothing's close in WA! The Pinnacles are just stunning, and the tour was excellent.

Gavin was a wonderful guide. He does door to door pick ups. He’s very knowledgeable, shared with us interesting information about trees and stars. Salads with sausages were delicious! The best tour I’ve ever done! Gavin our guide and driver was knowledgeable about the area on the way to the Pinnacles and gave us some great facts. Sand boarding was alot of fun on the way too. Once we got there, the BBQ and sunset were fantastic as were the telescopes once the sun had gone down. The whole tour was run very smoothly and was thoroughly enjoyable! Pick up and drop off were well organised and communicated. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Awesome tour! Despite the weather being unseasonably cold, wet and windy, Gavin still delivered a very worth while experience. From the convenient and on-time pick up, to the amazing BBQ (including a variety of salads, wines and accommodating different dietary needs) at the pinnacles, everything ran smoothly. While we weren't able to use the telescopes due to cloud cover, Gavin tried his best to find clear night sky for us and still provided us with amazing facts and stories from the first nations people of the land we were on. I'm still relishing in my experience yesterday of a trip from Perth to the Pinnacles culminating in watching sunset ( glorious) from Pinnacle Dessert, bbq meal and wine while listening to Gavin tell us history and stories of the Pinnacles , then being able to view magical galaxies through telescopes( how magical is the Jewel Casket galaxy ) Gavin's knowledge of and ability to share his knowledge is awesome. The evening was beautifully ended with a Sound Healing meditation. Nothing beats this experience of sights sounds and cameraderie.

Kudos to Gavin who was our tour guide for this trip. We really enjoyed our stargazing trip. Right from the pick up, to the information shared while we were on the bus, to sandboarding, to dinner and stargazing, everything was perfectly managed. We were so glad to know that you also had a plan B considering we couldnt see the stars at the pinnacles itself until they magically appeared few mins later at the carpark. We couldn’t resist the idea of stargazing in the desert - no light pollution! - and we loved the whole experience. Gavin is a super knowledgeable and friendly celestial guide, and the two telescopes and sets of Astro binos give ample opportunity to see some amazing night sky views. Also fun was the sand dune board riding on the way to the Pinnacles, and the relaxed BBQ sausage sizzle at sunset hit the spot, with lots of tasty and healthy salad options. Great way to spend a day, and see some really unique sights, both on the ground and in the sky. Thanks Gavin and Sam.

The itinerary of this tour alone makes it a worthwhile trip; every activity was fun and memorable. Loved sand surfing and learning about the stars at pinnacle dessert. On top of that, the tour was very well-organized and sustainably run. With two groups combined, we had maybe over 30 people in the group, yet the tour guides brought reusable utensils for everyone and offered many vegetarian options which I found impressive. Really enjoyed the experience and it’s worth every cent!

Had an amazing tour of the Pinnacles Desert with our driver Emma (and the other drivers Hadrion and Don). This was such a well thought out day by the tour company and a great way to fit a lot in of this spectacular region.
The sandboarding was pure exhilaration and the boards themselves were in great condition. Definitely a highlight.
Then the sunset and stargazing was pretty special. You could tell that all the guides were passionate about astronomy, and the sky was ideal for seeing the stars and nebulas. The provided binoculars meant you could see the rings of Saturn if you squinted!
The food spread was also way better than expected.

Thank you for the amazing experience! We had a quite cloudy day and we only got a little glimpse of sun during at the sand dune and a little during sunset at the pinnacles that made everything special! We had a yummy dinner at the Pinnacles and our guides were very nice and friendly.
We unfortunately were very unlucky with the weather but our guide Adrian really tried to find different spots for stargazing on the way back to Perth and even if he could not find any as it was clearly raining we really appreciated the effort. To make the night special anyways he stopped on top of Kings Park to let us enjoy the views of Perth at nights as a consolation which we really appreciated!
Seeing the stars would have been cherry on top of the day but it is okay, they can’t control the weather and made it special anyways! I am sure on a clear day the experience is amazing!

I can definitely confirm the positive reviews. We booked the Pinnacles Star Gazing tour which was an amazing experience that you should not miss when in Perth. Sam was our tour guide that day, he is a great guy and an excellent driver. But on top of everything that made the tour unforgettable - the service was outstanding. When we were on the bus back, my friend recognized she had lost her bracelet at the Pinnacles while sitting on one of the blankets they had provided for us to lay on the sand and watch the stars. I told Sam when he dropped us at the hotel, and the next evening, we got a call from Claire, the director of Lumineer that Sam had found the bracelet (which means he has looked for it). He even brought it back to our hotel, and we cannot thank both, Sam and Claire, enough for helping us like this. Highly recommend!

Perfect on time pick-up. Emma, our tour guide was excellent with her knowledge of the destinations and the stars/planets, and a confident driver with the bus. Food was good, plenty for everyone. Sand dunes were really fun. There were quite a few clouds for the star gazing unfortunately but still beautiful. The pinnacle desert is a must see. Such a beautiful place. Highly recommended this tour.

I loved every moment of this last August. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience, meticulously planned and executed, and just a seriously enjoyable adventure. Everyone was very kind, from booking the reservation from America late one evening, to making sure my pickup location was correct. I was so impressed by everyone.
Sam picked me up at my hotel and we drove out to Lanclin to the sand dunes, then Hangover Bay, followed by a most epic visit to the Pinacles. Sam, Skip, and Gavin went the extra mile in every way. Attentiveness, kindness, and comradery. It was just the little things, like hot cocoa in the evening, an overabundance of food, the swiftness which the guys set everything up. I look back over the photos of that adventure and want to go back so much.

What a great experience. We didn't do the bus tour from Perth as we were staying in Cervantes so we met the group at the Pinnacles. Due to the cyclone up north, the park ranges wouldn't let the bus enter the park so we had to walk. We've never done it by bus so we can't compare but we LOVED that we walked in instead. We got to get up and close to the Pinnacles. The staff were all fantastic and we loved the stargazing and the knowledge they had about stars and planets. It was a fantastic place to see the sunset. We highly recommend the Lumineer Pinnacles tour. Thanks for a great night.

Pinnacles Sunset & Stargazing Tour
What a wonderful experience!
2 work colleagues recommended this experience, both telling me it was amazing. And amazing it was. My 12 year old daughter, 14 year old son and I were all blown away.
The 3 of us couldn’t believe what we could see through the telescopes.
Don, Emma and Hadrien were so helpful, patient, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Don’s story-telling is terrific.
Nicely structured, well thought out and very chill. Perfect amount of time too.
Lovely wine (I had the Cab-Shiraz) and v nice food, we especially enjoyed the fresh, tasty salads.
My daughter insists I mention the dips with fresh vege sticks.
My son loved having plenty of free time to run through the pinnacles…
Special mention to Claire who kindly and patiently helped me through canceling due to a sick child when most others would make that difficult and uncomfortable. I’m thrilled that we were able to make this possible a couple of months later.
Thanks to the team for a memorable experience. I will recommend to anyone I know who is visiting the area.

Had an absolutely amazing Tour with Lumieer from start to finish
They collected us in Perth city where we were introduced to out Driver Don and our Mercedes Benz bus "Nova"
After collecting our tour mates for other locations we set off on our drive up north .
During the drive Don told us facts about the area in which we were travelling, including local flora and fauna and the history behind the area.
We stopped at a local bakey/ ice cream shop to stretch out legs before heading the the Lancelin Sand Dunes!
There we went sand surfing. All equipment provided. We then proceeded on to the Pinnacle Desert for an exploration around sunset followed by star gazing.
Dinner was provided an awesome BBQ with salads made by the Owner Claire with wines, hot beverages and soft drinks.
The team, Don, Gavin and Emma told us stories about the indigenous history as well as stories about the sky and constellations. Telescopes and binoculars were provided to see the stars close up as well as blankets to keep us warm

After a 2 hour journey including an interesting stop at a National Park we arrived in Cervantes for a very good meal before making our way to the Pinnacles. Our driver and guide were excellent and knowledgable. The Pinnacles were just magnificent and being there in the evening meant it wasn’t crowded. We watched the sun set and then headed over to a beach - a dark sky zone and watching the stars, planets and constellations was out of this world!! Our guide was an astronomer and provided fantastic info and stats - just magical!
We spent a long time looking upwards before the two hour journey back to Perth. Would highly recommend this tour if you are in Perth for several days.

My friend and I had an incredible time on this tour. The pick-up and drop-off was very conveniently done from our hotel. There were plenty of rest stops along the way and the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Sandboarding at Lancelin sand dunes was a fun activity along the way. The dinner spread under the stars was thoroughly enjoyable and the tour company was very kind to cater to dietary requirements. Sunset at the Pinnacles were a beautiful sight, only topped by the incredible night sky view at the desert!

I want to give a special shout out to our incredible guides. There were two vehicles and one experienced a flat about an hour in to our drive. After a rather lengthy repair stop, we found out that a nearby fire had resulted in the closing of a highway, which meant that we had to take a long detour (both directions). I don’t know how they did it, but our guides still made the trip happen. They were by far the most efficient and hard working guides I’ve ever seen. Both were working full out at each stop to provide everything on the itinerary. Beyond impressive. It ended up being a very long and exhausting day (can’t imagine how tired the guides were!), but the pinnacles and stargazing made it all worthwhile. Truly an incredible, awe inspiring experience. Definitely recommend!!

Very friendly driver/informative on various stops. Never tried sand duning before and found it exciting and enjoyable. Pinnacles were the highlight on this tour. BBQ enjoyable. Disappointed after two attempts no stars tonight. On route back to hotel we saw the night lights of Perth via Kings Park. Thank you.

The views were amazing! Got to experience a beautiful sunset and the sand boarding was loads of fun!! Wish I brought my actual camera but was still able to get some sweet photos with iphone.

We self drove and met at the Pinnacles entrance, joining the group on the tour. Learned some good history (and stories) with knowledgeable and friendly guides. Pinnacles were amazing and well worth the visit. Star gazing was great and the guides assured us in using smart phones to take some great pictures. Food was good, salads particularly nice. Would thoroughly recommend.

This was a very nice trip to be part of. It starts midday and gets you back late, so plan accordingly. The coastal stop had a beautiful view. The sandboarding was very fun and pretty much anyone can do it. They use wax on the bottom of the board before each turn so it easily glides down the dune. Fun for all ages! The Pinnacles is an interesting place and the story of how it came to be makes it more so. There was a good amount of time to wander and explore and take photos while dinner was being prepared. Dinner was very nice! One of the two guides was very knowledgeable about the heavens and had a great telescope for viewing many celestial bodies. Most people were asleep on the way back to Perth after a long, rewarding day.

My husband and I joined the Pinnacles Desert Sunset Dinner & Stargazing Tour, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. This was our first-ever guided tour, and we’re so glad we decided to do it!
The guides were fantastic, friendly, and passionate about sharing the experience. The sunset over the Pinnacles was breathtaking, and we were pleasantly surprised by how well-prepared and enjoyable the dinner was.
The stargazing session was magical, seeing the stars in such a clear sky and listening to the fascinating stories behind them made the night even more special.
If you’re considering this tour, go for it! It’s an incredible way to experience the Pinnacles and the night sky in the best way possible.

Despite Perth being almost clouded in, we had the most wonderful evening under the stars. Skip, our driver, collected us right on time & we soon had everyone on board, a mixed collection of all ages & from a variety of countries around the world.
It's approximately 90 minutes to the first stop in a lovely little town called Lancelin where we stopped for a toilet break & some afternoon tea. The cafe had plenty of home made, delectable delights to choose from. There is also a bakery that is obviously a hit with the locals & an ice cream shop.
After a short stop we headed off to go sandboarding down the giant, pristine, whitest sand dunes you'll ever see. By all accounts everyone seemed to have a great time with lots of laughter & screams of delight.

Great tour - so well organised. I was worried beforehand re the heat as the temperature was forecasted for 41 degrees and we were heading out to the desert.
The tour guys on the two buses worked so well together to make us a brilliant dinner. The clouds parted at night time and we could see so many stars. Never realised how many satellites were up there. The pinnacle rocks are spectacular.

The day tour was fantastic. All the main spots were excellent including the sand dunes and pinnacles. Our tour guide Emma (and Hadrien) were very knowledgeable of Perth's history and the stars/planets. Both tried to make the experience worth while by adding extra stops along the way, particularly when the clouds restricted the stargazing. All in all, a great day out!

Absolutely brilliant… my only complaint would be that we couldn’t hear the driver/guide in the minibus and missed a lot of interesting facts. Would highly recommend this company uses a loud speaker so passengers at the back can hear.
