Accommodation
- 31 nights — hostels in every town, two nights camping on K'gari, two nights in a shared cabin sailing the Whitsundays, and one night on an overnight bus.
Transport
- Bus passes between towns, booked for you before you travel, plus the ferry across to Magnetic Island. The day tours run their own transport — a 4WD on K'gari, and boats in the Whitsundays and on the reef. The Blue Mountains day is by train to Katoomba on your own.
Meals
- All meals are included on the Whitsundays sail and the K'gari safari, plus lunch on the reef day and the Everglades day. Meals in the towns and on free days are at your own cost.

“An incredible adventure!”
The experience was incredible and memory. The opportunity to meet people from around the world was great and experiencing the trip with them was very fun. I tried activities that I would never have tried at home and was brought out of my comfort zone. Will be back!

I had a great time joining the 32 day cairns to sydney trip in october 2025. It was by far the best value itinerary I could find and the team at lost in australia helped me arrange everything and answered many questions. Very happy with the trip. I did many amazing tours, had some great groups and guides. I also enjoyed the parts where I did my own thing and had free time in various places like Rainbow beach and Byron. Would defintiely recommend to any other backpacker looking to travel on a budget. Thanks again!
