Your transfer heads south through the Scenic Rim and into the Granite Belt. The first stop is Main Range National Park, where a picnic lunch is served alongside a short walk through UNESCO World Heritage-listed subtropical rainforest. The drive continues through magnificent open countryside, arriving at Girraween in the late afternoon just in time for afternoon tea and a chance to settle in.

Day 2 — Summit Terrawambella and the Granite Arch Walking distance: 6–10km · 4–6 hours including lunch and breaks
After breakfast with kangaroos grazing around the tents, guides pack a gourmet picnic lunch and lead the group toward Terrawambella. The summit reveals the full sweep of the park, a unique ancient granite landscape stretching in every direction.
The return route passes the Granite Arch, where improbably balanced boulders create one of the park’s most iconic formations. Guests then have the option to go for a swim in the cool creek waters, or return to camp for a rest before the evening meal.

Day 3: The Junction Walk Walking distance: 8km · 4–6 hours including lunch and breaks
With lunches packed, the day’s walk follows a creekside pathway through red gums, wildflowers and birdlife toward the Junction, a convergence of waterways over smooth granite that is among the most beautiful spots in the park. Guides set up lunch here beside the water, and guests have time to swim in the clear, cold creek before the return walk to camp.

Day 4
Day 4 — Castle Rock, the Sphinx and Turtle Rock Walking distance: 10km · 4–6 hours including lunch and breaks
Today’s walk completes the picture of Girraween’s geology. The summit of Castle Rock offers 360-degree views across the park and the surrounding ranges. Further along the trail, the close-up scale of the Sphinx’s balanced boulders is remarkable — and from Turtle Rock, the full profile of the Sphinx is revealed in its entirety.
Wildflower blooms line the path through the red gums. The evening is spent around the campfire while guides prepare a final camp dinner.
