See MapDAY 1 FOGG DAM / KAKADU NATIONAL PARK TOUR
An early morning start gets us out to greet the sunrise on the dynamic Adelaide River floodplains. On display here is a massive variety of birdlife, reptiles, mammals and more across wetlands, floodplains, woodlands and monsoonal forest. Enjoy breakfast with the birds and coffee with the critters! Moving on, our destiny takes us to Jabiru in the heart of World Heritage Kakadu National Park. Our first stop will be the Bowali centre for an introduction to the Kakadu environmental and indigenous landscape as well as a fresh picnic lunch.
After lunch it is time for a birds eye view of Kakadu from a light aircraft. This is all about perspective. From there we venture to the iconic East Alligator River and join the award winning Guluyambi Culture Cruise for 90 minutes of wildlife spotting, indigenous culture instructions and anecdotes from a local aboriginal guide. Bare in mind to keep your hands in the boat as this river has one of the highest populations of estuarine crocodiles in the world. For those that survive the cruise it is time for a stroll amongst the ancient rock art of Ubirr culminating with sunset nibbles and refreshments at Nadab lookout overlooking the eternal Kakadu floodplains.
Accommodation tonight is a Suite room at Anbinik Resort.
DAY 2 KAKADU NATIONAL PARK TOUR
Up before the birds, a quick cuppa and we are off to Cooinda where we join the world-renowned sunrise Yellow Waters cruise. This is the perfect cruise to witness the wakening of wildlife on the wetlands backed up by expert local commentary. Enjoy the full buffet breakfast at Cooinda resort after the cruise before spending some quality time in the comprehensive aboriginal culture centre, Warradjan. Featuring stories, images, crafts, art and much more Warradjan is a place to go quietly and slowly. Absorb the knowledge and then sit down with female elders and learn the craft of string making and weaving afterwards.
Following this we journey towards Anbangbang Billabong and Nourlangie. Both Anbangbang and Nourlangie are rich in natural values and are significant spiritual places for the local indigenous peoples. For such an occasion and location, you will be privately guided through the halls of time by a local indigenous guide. Ask those questions and ponder the answers.
With a late lunch following the walk by Nourlangie we are set for arrival back in Darwin around 7:30pm.

What should I pack?
Depending on where in Australia or New Zealand you decide to visit, your luggage will vary. For exact information please visit the "What to bring" section of each tour page.
What immunisations do I need?
For the latest information on immunisations, we strongly recommend you or contact the Travellers Medical and Vaccination Centre (www.traveldoctor.com.au) to discuss health requirements for your trip. They will advise you about appropriate inoculations.
Do I need to take any medical supplies?
It is not necessary to bring any medical supplies other than any personal items you may require. Each tour will carry an first aid box and our guides are all certified in First Aid.
How much luggage can I take?
We don't have an exact policy when it comes to luggage though we just ask our customers to be mindful that we have limited space. Generally we recommend people to bring a large backpack/suitcase with all their gear and another smaller backpack to keep on the bus and hold their daily items ( phone, water bottle, towel, sunscreen etc ) and which they used to take on walks etc. If you have a lot of luggage is best to leave the things you don't need at your hotel/hostel where they will store it for free.
Where can I store my luggage whilst on tour?
During the tour your main luggage will be stored in our trailer. This trailer is always locked however we cannot guarantee the complete safety of your gear from theft or damage. This is why it is so important to purchase a good travel insurance. If you need to store your luggage whilst away on tour, this can be done through your accommodation. Most hostel and hotels will store your luggage safely free of charge.
Will I be able to do any laundry whilst on tour?
For camping tours there will be no time to do laundry. However, for longer cross country tours involving hostel or hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to wash your clothes.
Do I need a sleeping bag?
For all camping tours require you to have a sleeping bag. If you don't have one they may be available for hire via the "join tour" button.
How fit do I need to be?
Our tours are made to be fun, informative and active and can be enjoyed by anyone with a moderate degree of fitness and agility. Travellers should be comfortable with hiking/walking up to 5km each day.
Do I need travel insurance?
Insurance is important in protecting visitors from loss or damange of goods, medical problems, cancelation by passengers or other casualties. Its highly recommended. Some tours on this website require you to have travel insurance. If you are Australian then it is not necessary.
Can I get online whilst travelling?
For tours incorporating hostel/hotel style accommodation you may have the opportunity to use wireless internet or use of nearby internet cafe. If you have a mobile plan with internet then that should be ok except for more remote regions. This will vary from tour to tour so please contact us directly for more accurate information.
Will I be able to use my mobile whilst on tour?
You can use your mobile while touring in Australia or New Zealand, but coverage may be limited in remote areas. For best connectivity, consider purchasing a local SIM card or an international roaming plan.

Do I have to book this tour online?
Definitely not. Our website is designed to make is easy and convenient for you to schedule your tour. However we understand sometimes its nice to talk to someone directly. So by all means give us a call and we can organise your trip over the phone.
If I book more than one tour can I get a discount?
Absolutely! If you are booking multiple tours then we may be able to offer you a discount. Send us an email at info@lostinaustralia.org and let us know what you thinking of doing and we can put together a price for you.Also, be sure to look out for monthly specials on tours. We often have some great bargains.
How do I know when a tour is available?
You can check the departure dates of tours by using our calendar on the top right hand corner of the tour page. This will tell you what days the tour departs. For availability of seats please contact us directly at info@lostinaustralia.org or call us.
Can I just do a section of this tour and not the whole trip?
Unfortunately it is not possible to only do a part of the tour. Passengers generally need to stay with the tour from start to finish.However, drop off locations at the end of the tour made me negotiated.
Does the tour price include flights?
No. Tour prices do not include any travel arrangements other than for the duration of the tour itself. If you need assistance with booking flights or buses our travel team and certainly help - Just ask!
How far in advance do I need to book my tour?
As a rule of thumb we generally say AT LEAST 2 weeks prior to departure, this will usually get you a seat on the date you want. That being said, we cannot guarantee that spaces will be available at the time of your booking so, if you can, book as soon as possible. Bookings can still be made right up until the departure date of the tour if seats are available. If you know when you'd like to travel, please contact us and we will let you know if you need to book soon or if you have time.
If I make a deposit only, when will I need to pay the balance?
Balance on tours need to be paid at least 30 days prior to departure. Failure to do so could result is the cancellation of your seat with a fee charged. If you need more time to clear your balance then let us know ASAP and arrangements can be made.
Who travels with us
Is this tour for me?
Our tours are made up of small groups with a range of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Generally people who travel with us are between 20 and 49, though we also get alot passengers much older onboard - everyone is welcome! On tour we get equally as many males as females and everyone shares an enthusiasm for the out doors, nature, adventure and culture. Our tours are for those wanting to really explore and share the experience with likeminded travellers. Whether we are camping by a billabong in Kakadu National Park or sharing a cabin in Tasmania, our travellers want more than just a site seeing tour. They are chasing a hands on group experience. The trips are packed with many highlights and the pace can be fast. There may be some long drives and passengers should expect to help out when setting up camp or cooking food - this is a group adventure. However, there’s always time to chill out, have a cold beer ( or wine! ) and soak up your surroundings. As always, if in doubt then contact us directly with your concerns.
Cost and Fees
What does "Paid Locally" mean?
Some tours require you to pay national park fees directly, in cash, to the tour guide on the morning of departure. Rest assured this will be subtracted from the tour price when reserving your tour.
Will I need additional money?
Visitors are advised to bring some cash as ATMs and banks can be few and far between depending on where we are during the trip. Its handy to have some extra cash as we do stop by local shops and cafe.
Do I need to tip our guide?
If you had an amazing time on tour and wish to tip the guide, then that is completely up to you. However, tipping is not customary and is not at all expected.
Are there any hidden fees I need to know about?
Our tour prices are completely transparent. There are no additional fees involved that are not included in the overall tour price shown. If you wish to do optional activities such as helicopter rides or wildlife safaris, then an extra cost may be needed. However, this will always be made clear at the time of your booking.
Whilst on tour
What type of tent will I get?
Tents are generally designed to accommodate a minimum of 2 people. This means there is plenty of room to move about and store your luggage. However, most Uluru tours we try and encourage the use of swags and mattress rather than tents. This is the ideal way to camp in the centre of Australia; Around a campfire, under the stars!
What are the sleeping arrangements in Kakadu?
Most of our tours to Kakadu National park involve a camping. However, for those tours heading towards Alice Springs and beyond, there will also be hostel style accommodation.Tents are generally designed to accommodate a minimum of 2 people. This means there is plenty of room to move about and store your luggage. Depending on which Kakadu tour you chose you may be required to set your tent up at the end of the day otherwise our campsites are permanent and are ready to go!Campsites in Kakadu come with basic facilities such as toilets and sometimes showers.
What will the food be like?
Our emphasis is on fresh food wherever possible and our meals are nutritious and varied on these tours. If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant we can cater for you, but if you have very specific dietary needs you may need to provide your own food, please discuss this at time of booking. For breakfast we supply cereals, fruits, toast, tea and coffee. Lunch is usually a self-serve picnic sandwich and salads; in the evening we have a cooked dinner - This can vary between pastas, bbqs, rices and other hearty food to keep you energized! We always carry water in the vehicle and you will often have the chance to buy your own drinks, ice-creams etc at stops. Please refer to each individual tour/package to establish which meals are included.
Can you cater of special diets?
We can certain cater for most dietary needs. Please advise us at the time of your booking so arrangements can be made. For travellers with more extreme diets we may ask that you bring along additional snacks.
Can I book extra accommodation for the start and end of the tour?
We know our country inside and out and would be happy to give you good recommodations. Please contact us for recommendations.
What vehicles do we use whilst in Kakadu?
For our Kakadu Tours we toss between a Troop Carrier 4WD Landcruise, 4WD Canter or a custom prepared mini bus. This depends on the size of the group and the amount of days we are out in the park. Each Kakadu tour varies so please refer to your tour info panel on the top right hand side of the page.
Is there any long periods of driving?
The initial drive out to Kakadu can be quite long. In total its almost 300km to the park border. But don't worry! We stop along the way to check out a few attractions and we also visit the Bark Hut Inn where you can stretch and grab some refreshments. All up it takes a couple of hours driving to reach Kakadu but the time will go much quicker than you think! The country side is amazing.

We are in total agreement with all the glowing reviews one reads here. Spending a day or two with Rob islike driving around with an old friend who cares about the environment and is committed to protecting it. It was an intimate and personal experience with discussions ranging from local lore to environmental protection to our families. The home cooked food, nutritious and delicious,was a welcome relief from the typical travelers fare. We were sad to have it come to an end.

We contacted Rob as the result of a referral when planning our adult family, wet season trip, to the Darwin, Kakadu and Litchfield. We specifically wanted a knowledgeable local guide to share their experience and to maximise the limited time we had available.
He recommended a flexible approach to the day given there was no guarantee re which sights would be open.
Our day started with an 8am pickup from Litchfield Tourist Park and a lively chat about the potential threats to the park. mining exploration, tourism, and sustainability of this beautiful landscape.the future. It was clear from the get-go that Rob is a passionate advocate for this part of the world.
We arrived at the Cascades and preceded our hike with some wonderful homemade mango muffins and coffee to fuel our approx 2-hour hike into the bush. The diversity in the landscape, glimpses of local wildlife, and stream swimming were thoroughly enjoyed by the whole group. Rob gave us insightful, informative, and entertaining commentary the whole way. He was also extremely supportive of the variation in levels of fitness and mobility within the group.
After the Cascades, we went on to Wangi Falls and stopped for a delicious homemade salad lunch at the base of a wetland area. Plenty of water top-ups were also available to keep us hydrated.
After lunch, we stopped for another refreshing swim at Florence falls. The final stop and afternoon tea of homemade Anzac biscuits were at the termite mounds, a surreal sight with the backdrop of black rain clouds rolling in.
We got back to camp at about 4.30 having had the best day.
Rob is a fabulous bloke and kept us entertained, informed and well-fed & watered. Our day was significantly enhanced by having him on board. Added value to our trip without a doubt!

This was a wonderful day exploring just a snippet of what Litchfield has to offer.
I loved swimming in the fresh water of Berry Springs, Wangi Falls and Buley Rockholes.
It was incredibly well organised and catered. Kate our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and caring. The food was delicious and plentiful and nice and COLD! Ethical adventures just do a little bit extra to make the tour more enjoyable and memorable.

We did a fantastic one day trip to Berry Springs and Litchfield Park with Rob. His knowledge of the flora and fauna as well as the history, culture and politics of the area were excellent. Rob was so easy to talk to, always had our safety in mind and we particularly appreciated that he and his wife catered for all our different dietary needs. The warm home made mango muffins and ANZAC biscuits for morning and afternoon tea as well as the salads for lunch were delicious. I cannot recommend Ethical Adventures highly enough.

Of all the tours we've done, this one is easily in our top three. Yes, Rob, I said it would be in our top 5, but that wasn't good enough. Highly recommended - the only way to see Litchfield - even when we had previously lived in the N.T. for 4 years. Lunch was amazing - I've not eaten a better chicken/salad ever - better than restaurant quality. It was the perfect time of the year to do this as there had been rainfall during the last few weeks to green things up after the burning that happens in the peak period around June/July. Will definately do this again, perhaps as early as March. Rob enjoys his "office" and it shows. Nothing was too much trouble for him. It was fabulous AAA+++

Loved this trip from start to finish. Rob is a passionate environmentalist . He was friendly from the get go and encouraged us to change seats there by getting to know others and as such we have made new friends. Berry springs was amazing then onto Wangi Falls. Throughly enjoyed these beautiful places and time spent there was ample. Rob is a wealth of knowledge but also funny. Although it rained and rest of day didn’t go quite to plan we Rob was able to find alternatives. We lunched under shelter and food was fresh and flavoursome. Unscheduled stop to learn about Zebra stone was another highlight. Would highly recommend this small group tour. We had a wonderful day.

Very fun day trip to Litchfield. Rob is enthusiastic, cheerful, and knowledgeable, as well as professional and safe. He made the extra effort to optimize the experience, such as accomodating dietary needs (delicious), having us rotate seats in order to get to know each other better, and making sure that each of us had options at every site: hike vs. swim, etc. He knows the area well and had back-up plans for when the weather turned. Nevertheless, it was warm enough to spend the whole day in a bathing suit rather than changing clothes before and after each swim. Even if you don't plan on swimming, you might change your mind when you see how inviting the water is, so best to wear a bathing suit. Towels and goggles were provided, but bringing an extra towel to sit on is a good idea. Reef walkers or similar footwear would be good if you have them, but they're not required.

Thank you to Ethical Adventurers and our guide Nalani and Rob’s team for taking up up overnight to Kakadu (and short sights of Arnhem Land). Mind blowing experience.
We then went on a second tour with Rob to Litchfield National Park and surrounding areas. What a fantastic day.
We are a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 16 and 13. We all had the most spectacular time and definitely the most memorable and meaningful family holidays we have ever had.

Very good one day tour out of Darwin. Clancy was obviously thoroughly experienced in both guiding and the area, getting us to spot before the major tour companies arrived. We had the first swimming hole virtually completely to ourselves which was an awesome experience. The other swimming locations were very good as well. It pays to come prepared to swim to enjoy the day to the fullest. Her knowledge of the area was astounding - this is the first time I have ever been invited to lick an ants bum! And, surprisingly, it was worth it! Won't tell you more, you need to try it for yourself.
Very well organised booking service, ultra friendly staff and well run tour.
I would certainly choose other tours by Ethical Adventures in future.

We had a great trip to Litchfield national park with Clancy as our guide. She is very well organised, on time, informative and lots of fun.
We visited numerous locations in the park plus Berry Springs providing plenty of opportunities for swimming and exploring these areas.
The food provided was excellent and the mango muffins were a treat. This tour was so much more relaxed and personal than the large group tours. We would highly recommend this well run small business.

3 Day Cowboy Country Katherine Tour
Rob is the owner of this tour company and was our tour guide from 1/8/22 to 3/8/22 to Katherine and Mataranka.
Max 9 people in his mini bus. But we only had 4 people on our tour so that was extra personal attention to his customers.
Rob has a wicked sense of humor, both to keep us amused on long hours of travel on the road; but also to keep us on our toes.
He has a passion for environmental concerns which shows when he shows you around and talks.
He is listening to your personal needs - we had 1 lady who could not do long walks and hikes so she spent more time with him and was catered for very well while the rest of us went on our walks and swimming at the hot springs.
A very personalised tour so it suits people with mobility issues.

The perfect balance of information, relaxation and experience. Respectful of local indigenous knowledge and stories too. By starting early we had peaceful Berry Springs almost to ourselves. Also heaps of time for swimming and walking at Wangi Falls. Tastiest lunch ever, joined by a crow at an almost secret wetland, surrounded by water lilies and dragonflies. Magnetic termites a highlight, as were the bower and baby emus on the way out of the park.

I did the day trip to Litchfield with Clancy 2 days ago. It was a great day. We stopped at Berry Springs so folks could swim if they wanted. Had a very tasty snack there. Wangi Falls was next - another gorgeous swim spot. The salad for lunch was the healthiest lunch I’ve ever had on a day tour. The termite mounds were pretty amazing, too. Clancy had great information to share and was a fun guide to spend the day with. Would highly recommend this tour.

We went – myself, my wife and our 2 boys - on the Litchfield tour with Ethical Adventures today, and we all thought it was excellent. We had been recommended to go with them by my sister and her husband – who told us what a fantastic time they had. The sites we visited were terrific and Rob knew great detail about each. He was a great guide and kept us all entertained and well-informed. The food was great – we had some dietary issues which they sorted beforehand with absolutely no fuss. We did the Litchfield Region small group tour and we could not fault it in anyway!
Clancy was friendly, informative and so much fun. We were picked up spot on time and stayed ahead of schedule all day beating the crowds to all the spectacular locations.
There was no hussling and bustling us around, we were given plenty of time to relax and enjoy the magnificent surroundings.
Lunch was fresh and tasty and the bus was clean and comfortable.
This was our best day in Darwin by far and we enjoyed the tour so much we will definitely do it again on our next trip!

Full marks for our guide and the food. The waterfalls and swims were beautiful, as was the billabong lunch spot. We saw and learnt lots that we would not have done by ourselves, and the whole day was well organised - but long. By the end of the day we felt we'd visited one waterfall too many; but admittedly it was a particularly busy day in the Park and by the final stop we'd caught up with the crowds we'd avoided earlier.

Hands down- THE best tour company I have experienced! I have travelled a lot around the world and Ethical Adventures Day trip to Litchefield Park was beyond a 10/10 rating.
Rob & Tracey own and run their business and it is built on respect, incredible client experience and excellent value for money.
From the clear and easy cpmmunication, booking and on-time pick up at my residential address whilst staying in Darwin for a week in June 2022 the whole experience was worth every cent!
Rob is not only highly professional, incredibly knowledgable about the area, traditional owners of the Larrakia nation, flora & fauna, history and anything else the small group (another big bonus!)- nothing was too much trouble for Rob.
He has a great sense of humour, knows his stuff and went out of his way to attend to each of the clients on board with their comfort, safety and questions.
The food - Tracey I think prepares this? Wow- from the home-made mango muffins, hot coffee/tea/water (after our waterfall massage swim), to the delicious and healthy chicken (you have diety options) salad with avodcado, all each individually and hygenically placed in your own sealed container (very Aussie whilst sitting in the freshwater creek!).
Rob found a little place for us to eat lunch which was sublime right on the water .
The little things made the difference with Ethical Aadventures too- the icy poles, cold soft drinks ( all free) and best of all....the frozen and lemon infused towels for our face and neck when we were hot in the afternoon!
The mercedes vehicle is very well-maintained, safe and very clean ( love the Italian vinyl seats haha)
Nothing is rushed and I felt like I had enough time for each of the sections of the day.
I did another tour two days later with another company and there was absolutely no comparison with client experience.
Thank you Rob & Tracey (plus Bella and Spencer) for an absolutely memorable experience! You stand by your values and integrity and it shows genuinely.
I have recommended EA to several of my friends and will definately be back!

WOW, what a great small group tour. Rob was informative, relaxed, funny and an all round nice guy. He made us all feel welcome giving us plenty of time to enjoy our surroundings. All of our communications, questions and requests were professionally handled by both Rob and Tracey.
We were drawn to Ethical adventures initially through the name and after reading the trip advisor reviews on their tours, our decision was easily made.
Small group tours are our preferred mode and this itinerary ticked the boxes.
Picked up on time at 700am and returned around 430ish, it was a very satisfying day in the Litchfield National Park.
Rob was an experienced and knowledgeable guide and owner, very easy to relate to and listen to.
The home made mango muffins for morning tea, the very filling and beautiful salad for lunch and Anzac biscuits and iced tea in the pm were all delicious.
Our two swims were really enjoyable and unfortunately due to the possibility of a croc and high water levels, we couldn’t do the third waterfall swim.
Little things like iced towels provided after a walk , ample cold water available and only 10 people on the bus made this a very enjoyable tour, one I highly recommend to those looking for something a bit special.

Already the first stop made me feel good: the tropical feeling, the palm trees, just the atmosphere. We spotted some pretty birds on our tour and the view of the park with the different green trees was great!! Visited a couple of waterfalls, swimming there was awesome! Our tour guide Mike told us a lot of interesting things about the region and the nature! He is a very relaxed and knowledgeable tour guide. Don’t let the wet season stop you from exploring Litchfield with Rob. With no crowds to contend with and plenty of waterfall action we had an amazing day exploring and revelling in the scenery. Plunging into rock pools, walking along a rainforest track and sitting quietly beside Tabletop Swamp whilst enjoying a homemade lunch was nothing short of idyllic. Rob ensured we had a really good taste of Litchfield but we would happily come back for more.

My wife and I had the pleasure of having Rob guide us around Litchfield National Park in Nov 2021.
Rob was a wonderful guide and knew all the spots to head to to miss the crowds. We started with a wonderful swim in Florence Falls and a walk along Buley Creek...swimming at every rock pool opportunity. Rob welcomed is back to the car with ice blocks and whisked us off to the "swamp" for lunch. He laughed at our reaction and assured us it was the best spot.
The setting for our Expedition Salad was perfect. We could have been the only people in the park. We listened to countless birds in the shade of the tea trees at the edge of the wetlands; all whilst enjoying THE most delicious salad we have ever had.
When we were ready Rob whisked us off for more picturesque waterfalls and swims in secluded creeks.
The day was perfect. Nothing felt rushed and Rob had an excellent balance being attentive to needs and leaving us to enjoy the park. We highly recommend this trip if you want a tailored, flexible and informative itinerary for Litchfield National Park.

What a day! We visited a couple of the most beautiful waterfalls and a couple of very interesting historical sites. Our tour guide Rob was very knowledgeable about Litchfield and was also passionate about the environment and its inhabitants, which I loved. He gave little explanations about how the animals and plants all worked together and it was great to hear all about it. So personable.

We were doubly fortunate being able to join a trip to Litchfield NP with Rob of Ethical Adventures. First because Rob made the tour available to us at the last minute. More importantly though Rob was the perfect guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, and very engaging. His knowledge wasn't parroted from some cheat sheet. It was deep knowledge and understanding contextualised by time, place and impact. Rob explained the complexity of the opportunities and challenges facing the NT environment and society, and shared his hopes and initiatives to help bring about beneficial change. He engaged with us. He introduced us to the natural landscape and the bio diversity.At the same time the day's program was perfectly organised with regular stops, opportunities to explore, and Tracey's delicious lunch. Rob, our tour guide from Litchfield Ethical Adventures, was knowledgeable & gave a continuous commentary. He had thoroughly planned for his 7 tourists to have an adventurous 10 1/2 hr day! His wife had prepared a healthy & 'salad packed' lunch, delicious morning & afternoon snacks plus fruit icypoles and iced tea, keeping us all refreshed & hydrated throughout the day. Our activities were varied and we had opportunities for swimming in several waterfalls, going for short walks, visiting historical places & cathedral termite mounds.
What a great day was had by all participants. We certainly felt like adventurers as we experienced the culture and the history of Litchfield. On returning to our hotel, all 7 tourists sang Rob's praises for a memorable day in their Darwin holiday.

I had a great day with Rob and Simon, on my August tour to Litchfield with 6 others. Berry Springs was a lovely swimming spot, and it was good to learn the history of Batchelor (pioneers, WW2 and Rum Jungle uranium mine) before heading to Litchfield. The quiet time at the Tabletop Swamp was unusual but I really enjoyed it... a chance to connect with nature, especially the birds. Swimming at Wangi Falls was a highlight. And the home made food from Tracey was fantastic. Yum :) Can thoroughly recommend.

Unable to go interstate for planned holidays
Decided to support local and play tourist for the day.
First tick...small passenger numbers.
Day started off on time..
Things only got better. Early morning swim at Berry Springs. Been there multiple times but never early morning and never have I popped on goggles and looked at the fish life ! Amazing
The day was spent with Rob's amusing but accurate local insight commentary along with historical and environmental knowledge.
Home made food and snacks delicious. (Warm mango muffins omg).
Our tour of Batchelor and the museum was totally enjoyable.
Litchfield Park.. despite been over run with visitors Rob maintained a good mixture with Florence falls walk and swim but then followed up with Tabletop swamp which was time out peace and quiet watching bird life and soaking in the atmosphere. Somewhere we would never have thought of going.
Loved the flexibility of the tour . Swims / walks were all optional but are there to be experienced.
Trip back to Darwin a different route so we didn't double up on Stuart Highway trip.
Loved the fact we went and experienced so much yet were not caught up with the normal touristy stuff.

This small group 1 day tour from Darwin to Litchfield National Park is highly recommended, the tour covers all of the beautiful and unique features of the park. For hikers, a moderate level of fitness is required if doing one of the self guided walks which is not compulsory. Swimming and cooling off in the crystal clear water holes is a highlight not to be missed.
Everything needed for an enjoyable day is supplied by the guide Rob, Rob is a world of knowledge and he is a strong advocate for the conservation and sustainability of the environment.
Hotel pickup and dropoff is included as well as delicious lunch.
I thoroughly recommend this tour and it was a pleasure to be supporting this local professional business in these difficult times.

We are used to high quality small day tours and we’re really impressed with Ethical Tours. We went to some places that the larger bus tours don’t visit such as a swamp where we sat (chairs provided with homemade refreshments) in silence, other than the birds, contemplated the beauty and serendipity of the place. Other places had Rob (Masters degree) telling us amusing stories or facts. Very impressed with Batchelor and its museum and stories and our smoked salmon with all those totally delish add-ons for lunch

From the time we were collected from our accommodation by Uschi (I really hope I spelt her name correctly) to the end of the day we couldn't of asked for a more informative beautiful day touring Litchfield
Uschi's knowledge was incredible, she was enthusiastic about sharing this and it wasn't like some tours I have experienced where it seems like it's been read from a cheat sheet with no passion or enthusiasm.
We learnt so much about Litchfield and visited many beautiful waterfalls and waterholes like Berry Springs which was a highlight swimming in the warm waters and because we were there early we enjoyed the peace before it was inundated with other visitors.
Our group was a group of nine so it felt like a more personalised tour, all our questions were answered Uschi had a good sense of humour and was a great guide for the day. She made sure everyone's comfort was taken care of and those ice cold towels were heaven after one of the walks.
Lunch was beautiful, I'm gluten intolerant I was well catered for lunch, morning and afternoon tea.
Anybody who is thinking of doing a tour of Litchfield should definitely do this one I'm really glad we did.

This was a fantastic, informative and thoughtful tour. Rob took us to Litchfield for the day in a small group of 5. I was travelling with my 80 yo mum and my 18 yo daughter. Rob is a wealth of historical and environmental information with an obvious passion for ethical travel and a great sense of humour. He avoided crowds, he was particularly attentive to my mum, he served us a beautiful fresh healthy lunch and morning/afternoon tea and gave us all as much time as we needed at each spectacular place of interest. An unexpected and particualy kind gesture was detouring at the very end of the tour (with the agreement of the other guests) to show my mum a couple of places of interest in suburban Darwin that brought back special memories for her after 50 years away from darwin. Thankyou Rob for a truly fantastic day out. I can't recommend Ethical adventures more highly.

Rob was very knowledgeable about the area, and opened our eyes to many environmental elements we were unaware of. From the time Rob arrived at my Hotel I was in good hands, Rob is very relaxed nothing was a problem. His knowledge was amazing in every area, he talked to our group as if we were friends not just a random group,
We visited amazing waterfalls we swam in crystal clear water, at one of the falls we were treated to a natural massage of the water could have stayed their all day
Lunch was really good, Salmon and a lovely salad with really cold drinks and a nice touch of a frozen towel to cool the neck on the walk from the last swim

This was one of the best tours I’ve done. Rob was incredibly knowledgeable & helpful & has every small detail and comfort down pat. I have some dietary restrictions which most tours/events would find frustrating and give me whatever they can find, whereas Ethical Adventures actually handmade me food and provided really healthy and tasty options. The tour itself was beautiful and such a great introduction to the NT. Ethical Adventures will try to tailor your adventure to you so you’re getting the most out of your trip.

What an experience!!!
I had the pleasure of doing a day trip with Ethical Adventures during my trip to Darwin in January and I could not recommend it more. Rob lead our tour for the day and he was an absolute pleasure to meet, with his incredibly personal and friendly nature, he continually checked in with our small group to ensure we were having the best time. This was a great trip for solo travelers as everyone on the trip was also doing it by themselves.
Throughout the day we swam in waterfalls and swimming holes, which was a great way to sit back and relax in the tranquility of Litchfield. As we explored Litchfield, there was no shortage of information about the flora and fauna as well as the history of the park.
Having never visited Litchfield before, I now have a greater appreciation of the national park and natural environment. Rob was incredibly passionate about each aspect of the day and he gave us so many incredible tips for us to walk away with for future trips and further exploration to take place.
If I haven't already raved about this tour enough, the food was also nothing less than incredible and so well thought out. Iced coffee in the morning, a delicious fresh salad for lunch, fresh fruit and muffins, we were certainly always satisfied.
A friend had initially recommended me to do a tour with Ethical Adventures as they had done one a few months earlier. After doing the tour for myself, I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone that is after a tour with a incredibly personal touch, you never feel like a customer and more like a friend from the very beginning.

I went on the 1 Day tour of Litchfield in the Wet Season and it was incredible! No matter what the weather Rob will find some amazing, special things to show you (like breath-taking waterfalls!). We were expecting just another jam packed non personalised tour experience but we were so surprised with want we got out of one single day in Litchfield with Rob.
From the moment he picked us up we were blown away. We got to Florence falls before the crowds and almost had the place to ourselves. We saw all the sites of Litchfield and had a delicious lunch at the wetlands in our own special space. On top of all that we then got to go to a special spot which we had all to ourselves, away from the crowds and absolutely spectacular!
Rob makes this tour extra special with custom service and making sure everyone is comfortable the entire day.
I can't recommend this enough!

Had a wonderful day at Litchfield with Rob and Ethical Adventures. If you are looking to avoid the crowded tourist tours and spend some real time getting to connect with the magic of Litchfield National Park this is the tour for you!
Robs knowledge of the area is second to none and with a maximum number of 10 people in a tour it really is something special.
He had us at the beautiful Florence falls before the crowds arrived and the peacefulness of having the whole place to ourselves was really something special. This also occurred at both Buley Rock Hole and Wangi Falls.
An amazing personal day out not just seeing sights but learning about the environment and the impacts we all have. Wonderful lunch and snacks and an amazing time had. We will be doing again when next in Darwin!

Our day excursion to Litchfield Park with Rob far exceeded our expectations. Conducted at a leisurely pace, filled with knowledgeable explanations and conversations. A great home-prepared lunch, morning tea and afternoon tea. Even a iced towell in the afternoon! We would give the highest recommendation to taking tours with Ethical Adventures.

Amazing 2 day experience in Litchfield. Everything is fully catered for all you have to do is turn up and enjoy the experience.
Rob has so much knowledge of the area, carefully plans each hike, lagoon swim around what will give you the best experience. For me that meant I got to see the beautiful natural areas without the crowds.
I highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore the natural wonders of Litchfield.

We had a really incredible day on this tour. It is a very busy day with a really full itinery so that we could see the best of Lichfield Park. We had the opportunity to swim in a pool below the waterfall, sit by a swamp ( lake) for some relaxing "wildlife watching" incredibl, and visit different parts of the park. Rob is a really enthusiastic advocate for conservation and made our day really special. Very very knowledgeable guide. We would thoroughly recommend his tours, one of the best we have been on ( and we have been on a lot around the world!!). Loved it.

Rob was wonderful in sharing all his enthusiasm, experience and time in telling us about the wildlife and Ecco system at Litchfield.
It was a small group and we saw the best of everything.
Great BBQ lunch at fabulous Wangi Falls which was in full flow in the wet season . Ice blocks and ice towels provided to cool down plus swimming in croc free rock pools.
Highly recommend this tour. You will love it. Rob looks after the youngies and oldies on this trip

We went on a trip to Litchfield national park near Darwin. Weather was overcast and slightly damp after heavy rain the night before. The owner and driver was very bubbly and bright and informative. Alas no snapper as advertised so it was steak and salad for lunch. Yum muffins for morning tea. We had an enjoyable day with 6 other couples. Alas due to rain couldn't get in to a few places in park. Our fault we picked rainy season. He did take us through the beaches on the other side of Darwin to fill in a little time. But it was still pricey for what we got

By chance my friend invited me to Ethical Adventures. I am so happy and grateful I experienced this tour with my friend and Rob, Lucy and small group. The wonder and awesomeness of our tour was unforgettable including the waterfall swims. The BBQ was delicious and catering was more than I expected. Talking with Lucy, from NZ but dinkum Australian now, she is a gem with her environmental knowledge. Rob's insight to nature and the environment was exceptional. Thankyou Rob, Lucy and (Tracy for the food provided). What a memorable and wonderful day. Maybe one day I can pick grass with you Rob.

Went to Litchfield with Rob and a group 6 guests in February - HOT!
Rob provided a service that simply exceeded expectations. He is personable, dedicated, educated and discretely attentive. So much! So much! From his vast and passionate interest in the area to the little things like homemade treats, frozen fruit and icy coffee that make this so good. Oh - and Litchfield is pretty special as well.
Bravo to you and Tracey - I hope to have lots of visitors to Darwin to send your way.

I was in awe throughout the whole experience! It was a sensory overload throughout the day with diverse wildlife, land formations, waterfalls and the beauty of it all! If you're interested in eco-tours, I would recommend Rob and Tracey's family business, Ethical Adventures, where Rob, the tour guide, personalised the tour. I appreciate Rob's humanity, decency and ecological knowledge, his passion for nature and maintaining it's integrity was apparent throughout the 1 day trip. I'm a bit late in writing this review but better late than never! I went on one of Robs tours last September (2019) and it was fantastic, I was a solo traveller who didn't want to go on one of those other trips that were full of backpackers so I chose this one specifically because it was smaller groups and the likelyhood of there being lots of backpackers on the trip was slim as its more expensive than other tour companies, but I tell you what its totally worth it. Rob was a fantastic guide, knew the area really well, cooked a mean barramundi for lunch with all the sides, took us to the most amazing places, litchfield national park is absolutely stunning, the museum at batchelor was also great to see. it was so good I'm gonna come back again in May. Only think I can suggest people to bring is sunscreen, hat, closed in walking shoes, a towel for swimming and sunglasses. Rob also took us to some other places but I can't remember the names of them but absolutely awesome. Best trip ever! He also has some snacks handed out throughout the trip, I'd never tried frozen orange pieces before this trip but in the hot weather they were such a treat tasted so good. Thanks Rob will definitely be back.

Rob is a great operator nothing is too much trouble. He actually and genuinely treats his clients like they are his best mates. He led the day with his deep knowledge of the environment intermingled with great Aussie conversation across many topics. The itinerary was well paced and covered many well thought out interesting and unique sites. The food was good and the transport comfortable. Rob was the best tour guide we've ever had, giving so much knowledge and hilarity throughout an amazing day of adventures! Great for fit adventurous solo travellers/couples/small groups who love a good joke and don't mind the rain. Do you want to start your day with warm mango muffins on your way to one of the country's most beautiful national parks while listening to your guide impart an incredible depth of knowledge about the surrounding land and its history? Of course you do! I didn't even know you could heat muffins up in a van, but Ethical Adventures has found a way, and we're all the better for it.
Our tour was small and personal with just 5 people and in the wet season! (Which I think is the best time to go up north. But I've only been once, so I'm completely biased.)
We started out at the Cathedral Termite Mounds in Litchfield which we told Rob reminded us of The Basílica de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona. He told us all about how the termite mounds worked and how they benefit the surrounding ecosystem. We had a really lovely walk around Buley Rockhole to see all the cascading waterfalls. Then it was off to Florence Falls where we were the first ones there for the day to swim in the waterfalls! Rob had packed masks for all of us so we could see the fish swimming around our feet and showed us where the handholds were in the falls to get to a seat to sit IN THE WATERFALL! It was flippin magical! We walked through the surrounding area that was full of giant golden orb spiders - which sounds terrifying but Rob went first so he could point them out and we didn't walk into them! Then it was on to the beautiful Wongai Falls and lunch - Steak cooked to your liking, (Who does that?! It was amazing!) and kangaroo fillets with a great salad and fruit. Then we went off to see the epic views atop Tomer Falls and even did a rain dance when it was raining at TableTop Swamp (according to Rob, a NT tradition.)
I even picked up a leech along the way! While I'm not squeamish at all, this was handled with the utmost care - also filmed for the record (maybe I'll make it into the future documentary about his tours!) Rob had all the first aid supplies we needed to take care of the situation. I'm a haematology nurse, so I probably found this much more hilarious than I should have.
Rob organised an amazing day for us. We all got a rotation up front of the van to have a chat and felt like we all really got to know each other (especially with the song competition that we hilariously botched over lunch). We got to talk about climate change, the eco-politics of the region, how the parks are run, and how the traditional custodians of the land have been managing this area for 40,000+ years and why we all need to be listening to them!
Best tour ever. Go on this tour - or any tour with Rob. He's an absolute legend.

This was the perfect tour for our family of 4 for our first visit to the Top End and to Litchfield National Park. Rob's tour was informative, not only about the flora, fauna of the Park, but also the ecological impact of human activity there. The waterfalls were impressive and the swimming areas delightful. We learned about the history of Australia and this region. Everything is taken care of from an early morning pickup, hot mango muffins and coffee, a gourmet lunch with grilled barramundi, and surprise drinks and snack along the way. We highly recommend this tour and look forward to our next visit to Darwin to explore more with this truly special company.

“Putting Arnhem Land and Kakadu into perspective”

As a follow up to a one-day experience three years ago we asked Rob for a three day tour of Kakadu etc for October. Some of the options that Rob wanted to show us were off the agenda due to lack of water (eg some of the falls were dry). That said it was an action-packed three days and we fitted in cruises on the E Alligator river and Yellow Waters, Fogg dam, Arnhem Land, Rock Art, an evening flight over the escarpment, wine and nibbles as the sun set on the escarpment, plenty of eating and refreshments and heaps of time to discuss environmental factors, pre-history and history.
The bird life and the crocodiles were amazing. Perhaps the best part was starting to understand some of the Aboriginal and environmental interactions that have occurred in this area over the past 65,000 years - other tours we have undertaken in Australia haven't had the same impact.
As others have said, Rob is the perfect, witty host, all the arrangements worked well (apart from the fire at Ubirr, which no one could have planned around), the food, accommodation, travel and conversation were excellent.

Just back from a fully packed two day tour with Rob Wood, great adventure into marvellous Kakadu and Fogg Dam. Just three of us on tour.
Highlights were his attention to each of us, and his warm friendly presence, nothing was too much trouble, including having to retrieve a phone left on the small aircraft we took over the wetlands at Jabiru .

I was a sole female traveller when I visited Darwin in late April early May but when I went on 2 tours with Ethical Adventures Rob made me feel like I was with family.
Everything was arranged via email with Tracey who was efficient and never left me in the dark and made me feel like I was immediately in good hands even before I left home. Having a small amount of people on each of the tours not only gives more 1 on 1 with Rob and his vast knowledge of the area but also allows for a comfortable day with the allowance of flexibility if/when required. At the end of the day I was made to feel like I had spent the day with friends thanks to Rob who organically creates a comfortable environment with his natural happy and warm nature.
If you are visiting Darwin and want to see the beautiful surrounds touring with this company is a must.

This was the best group day tour we have ever been on. From the moment Rob picked us up to the moment we farewelled the small group we had spent the day with we were totally engrossed and submerged in the wonders of this area. Rob's passion for Litchfield and surrounding areas is soon made evident and he took us to spots that other tours didn't frequent making it a very personalised and special tour. We arrived at Berry Springs before other tour groups arrived and had an extended stay at Batchelor where he barbecued barramundi for our lunch whilst we visited the museum and learnt about the history of this special town. We had delicious home baked treats courtesy of Rob's wife, icy poles and refreshing iced towels to keep us cool - many little touches at the right time that kept us comfortable and ready for the next stop. I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit Litchfield Park and I'm sure the same standard of tour guiding would prevail on any of their other tours. Rob made us all feel very welcome on the tour and his knowledge and passion for the area ensured we got the very best out of the day.

As this was our first trip to Darwin, we searched for a small group tour to Litchfield National Park and we are so glad that we decided on Rob’s Ethical Adventure Tour. We were a small mixed group – 9 in total and the day was filled by interested and varied stops within the park. A marvellous swim at Berry Falls, a visit to Batchelor Museum where we also enjoyed a delicious barramundi & salad lunch, a stop at the Termite Mounds, a beautiful swim at Wangi Falls and then finished at Tabletop Swamp where we appreciated the quiet and tranquility and had the opportunity to view the birdlife. Rob provided us with so much information and timed our stops to avoid the larger tour groups. In addition, the healthy tasty food proved for the morning & afternoon teas, plus the lunch were much appreciated, as also were the small extra’s such as the frozen washers after a hot walk & the frozen orange segments. Everything has been thought of to make this an enjoyable and special tour. We enjoyed Rob’s company so much that we are hoping to return to Darwin again to complete his 2 day Colours of Kakadu tour. Thank you Rob for a great day.

We had a truly memorable day thanks to Rob's extensive knowledge of and respect for the places we visited. The swim/massage at Berry Springs was a great first stop followed by Batchelor and then into Litchfield National Park. Termite mounds, waterfalls, another swim and bird watching: it was a full but relaxed itinerary. Rob's easy manner ensured the mixed ages group chatted and got on well together. The food, prepared by Rob's wife and served by him, was delicious! This was our first NT tour experience and we highly recommend Ethical Adventures.

We visit Darwin each year & look for a tour to include each visit. This was my third day trip to Litchfield. The small group size was particularly appealing. The slightly different and interesting schedule was great! Swimming in the warm pools at Berry Springs was a great way to start the day. The warm mango muffins with a cuppa after our swim was delicious! The stop at the Batchelor Museum was really interesting & informative. We were unaware of the notable history of this area. The lunch venue was just perfect for a warm day. The food again was delicious with healthy choices. Onto the Termite Mounds & then Litchfield after lunch. We visited 3 Litchfield locations, all providing a different perpective. Tolmer Falls was a nice walk with great views, Wangi Falls was a relaxing picturesque spot for a swim. Tabletop swamp with a stool & afternoon tea was tranquil & peaceful. A really enjoyable day all round. Rob our driver guide was fabulous! The small but welcome inclusions did not go unnoticed. Warm muffins in the early morning, frozen facecloths to refresh after a walk, frozen orange segments, frozen juice tubes, stools to sit on at the wetlands, iced tea for afternoon tea. All these minor inclusions were really well appreciated by guests. We would highly recommend this day trip for those looking for a trip with intetesting variety away from the large bus groups including predominantly swimming & walking.

Wildlife and Environments tour - Fogg Dam and Corroboree Billabong.
Early start to enjoy breakfast watching the sunrise over the wetlands so peaceful with just the birds and nature. Rob knows his stuff where and when to go to get the best out of the trip he is knowledgeable, friendly and fun. The billabong cruise was another highlight lots of birds and crocs and native plants. Had a great picnic lunch. This tour seems to be overlooked by many but is so worth doing Rob has a passion for nature and environmental issues which affects us all. Well organised day never felt rushed.

Wildlife and Environments Tour - Fogg Dam and Corroboree Billabong.
This was a small group tour (just three of us for this particular tour) and Rob our driver and guide. We left early, had breakfast watching the sunrise and then enjoyed an experience packed with wildlife interest and lots of information on the environment we were experiencing. We enjoyed an excellent cruise on the billabong that allowed us to see saltwater and freshwater crocodiles, lots of wonderful birds and the native vegetation. A picnic lunch was excellent and the tour operators had made a significant effort to ensure that my requirement for gluten-free food was met.
Overall a well-organised and enjoyable tour.

The Town of Batchelor was very interesting and had a significant role in Darwin's history including WWII. Berry, Florence and Wangi Falls are all different and a must-see on any visit. Rob’s knowledge and obvious appreciation of the area enabled our small group to gain an awareness of both the natural and man-made aspects of this part of the Litchfield National Park. In one day we were exposed to Aboriginal and non Aboriginal history, the formation of the environment, the magnificent falls, rock formations and the amazing flora and fauna. Added to that was the delicious, homemade snacks/meal which were frequently provided. The opportunity to either swim in a magnificent natural pool or climb to gain extensive views of the area was greatly appreciated. Rob’s friendliness, sense of humour and consideration for each member of the small group was brilliant.

The day trip to Lichfield was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. Rob, our attentive and knowledgeable guide looked after our small group of four with just the right balance of information and space. He was engaging with everyone and it felt as though we were guests in his home. Batchelor museum was a nice start to the day, with interesting pieces of the varied history of the tiny town. The swim in the waterfall, and delicious fresh Barra lunch were the highlights for me with a quiet time in the wetlands a lovely finish to the day. I couldn’t recommend Robs tour more. Everything was thought of and every need met.

The two of us had a great time visiting Litchfield NP. Rob our guide was very informative and made the day fun. We visited a museum at Bachelor,Termite mounds,Florence falls swimming under waterfalls,Wangi Falls for beautiful scenery and a fantastic BBQ of Barrumundi and salad lunch with extras.We walked to see Tolmer falls and stopped at a swamp.

Had an amazing day at Litchfield National Park with Rob! Rob has great knowledge of the area and is passionate about the environment, learnt so much about the beauty of this area on the tour. We visited so many gorgeous waterfalls, a rock pool and Table Top swamp area. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable day, with great conversation and the best BBQ Barramundi by Rob the Chef, with home cooked food during the day. Highly recommend a day with Ethical Adventures! The four of us had a wonderful day with Uschi touring the northern territory and the billabong. The one and one half hour boat ride was serene and very informative. We saw all manner of birds and a croc or two. Then we went over to Fogg Dam for a wonderful picnic lunch. All in all a great day thank you Rob and Uschi

Ten of us from EXPLORER of the Seas ship, met the wonderful Rob, for a fantastic day , that started with a tour around Darwin and finished with us lying in Jacuzzi like pools ... cooling off after an interesting and informative day checking out the sights within Litchfield National Park..
This was no ordinary tour, this was full of laughs , silent vigils at waterholes, visiting tiny townships that are proud of their heritage and progress, viewing amazing waterfalls, and sliding into cool fast flowing water that took the edge off the heat.
Lunch, ice blocks, snacks, drinks, cool facewashers , all provided.
Rob was a punctual, entertaining host ... If you travel with him ,you won’t be sorry. Just don’t ask him to mind your clothes. ( you’ll have to get him to explain

Leslie and Dennis, from Sydney, helped organize a tour for us (from Viking Orion Ship) so that Leslie could see some of her "old stomping grounds" in Darwin. Rob, is just like family, showing all the best that Darwin has to offer. He has a flare for the ecologically friendly, and sustainably encouraged management of the great northern territory, which he calls home. While it was a little too hot and humid for most of us gringos, Rob provided frozen hand towels, ice bottles, popsicles, mango muffins, and ice tea to keep us hydrated and happy. We saw Berry Springs, the Casuarina Park, and beautiful coastal shores. Stopped for photos of wallabies and a quick adult beverage at a yacht club. A truly awesome day! Thank you Rob and the best of luck to you!!

Spending a day or two with Rob islike driving around with an old friend who cares about the environment and is committed to protecting it. It was an intimate and personal experience with discussions ranging from local lore to environmental protection to our families. The home cooked food, nutritious and delicious,was a welcome relief from the typical travelers fare. We were sad to have it come to an end.

I don’t usually leave reviews but felt Ethical Adventures NT was well deserving of a mention.
For a day tour it was the perfect taste of what the beautiful and underrated state of NT has to offer. Getting a glimpse of local mining and war history at the Batchylor Museum, run by local volunteers. Eating the most moist barramundi I’ve ever had for lunch. Being absolutely blown away by the beauty of various waterfalls and waterholes and their crystal clear waters. Observing various fish and birds in their natural habitats.
What made this day even better was having a skilled and knowledgeable guide giving the day more depth and not making the experience feel like you were falling into the typical tourist trap. We learned facts from various subjects local history, wildlife, bush tucker and nature conservation. It was also good tasting some homemade goodies. Rob is an absolute legend and I once again highly recommend Ethical Adventures NT. A fantastic experience worth every cent and more.

If you are looking for a trip around Litchfield then this is the company to use. Rob does the tour and he has a wealth of knowledge which he imparts with fun and professalism.
Being part of a small group you are taken to areas not frequented by the big companies and standing in a waterhole, eating one of their homemade muffins,whilst little fish nibble your legs is an experience never fogotten. Take your swimming costumes, no aids are supplied, but the waterholes are ok for non -swimmers.
They have a real empathy with their work and the area they cover and you will finish your tour feeling the same.

If you are interested in not only the sights but the environment (which you should be) an awesome company. We did the Litchfield Wanderer and had a brilliant day. Rob is an excellent guide, great fun, very entertaining and full of local knowledge, making the trip very interesting. An early start meant we were at Berry Springs way before anyone else, what a beautiful place for an early morning dip. Some Juicy Mangoes were purchased from a local fella at the roadside on the way to Batchelor (Tidy Town 1999), to check out the great little museum (run by a lovely volunteer , Susan ex Tasmanian) and while we did that, Chef Extrordinaire, Rob, was barbqueing some wild caught barra which we had with fresh salad greens and ice cold watermelon for lunch. Next stop, Litchfield NP for a swim, very nice. We only saw one small 'freshie' and he didn't bite!! After our leisurely dip, there were frozen orange slices to refresh us! Heading back to Darwin, we stopped at Tabletop Swamp - what a treat, you'll have to do the tour to find out what happens here, then back in the bus, and, yes, ice cold facecloths to refresh us once again (Virgin, take note), this guy thinks of everything. What a great day, just do it. We are coming back to 'do it in the wet

An exceptional day trip from Darwin, one of the best tours we've ever done. Tour guide and owner Rob was professional, experienced, enthusiastic, personable and generous with his knowledge of culture, the environment and local birds, plants and animals. He spent time getting to know what we wanted to see and do and was attentive to our needs. We swam in beautiful and remote waterholes and under waterfalls, ate amazing food (steamed barramundi by a waterhole, plentiful healthy snacks, icy cold drinks...), enjoyed interesting walks and drove through spectacular countryside. We enjoyed the variety, the opportunity in a small group to ask lots of questions about the Top End and ultimately to experience such a beautiful and unique part of Australia. We took hundreds of photos!

From the second we spoke to Tracey on the phone we knew it was going to be a top notch tour! We then met Rob on the day, jumped on the bus and immediately felt like we were travelling with the family. The tour was small and personal and the guide knew us all by our names.
The tour was action packed, informative and EVERY effort was made to make the trip as enjoyable as possible - cool towels, cold fruit, seats to sit by a view spot, ice blocks, home cooked lunch!

From the moment I got on the bus, it felt like I was on a tour with my family, there were people of all ages. Our group of ten headed towards Litchfield, as we made stops on the way there taking a dip in some of the springs and having wonderful homemade muffins. Rob was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited and is a great cook, he made us a super yummi barra dish, which actually was sort of an all you can eat buffet lunch that could not have been more delicious. Went on a great tour Sat 15/9/18 to Litchfield National Park. Owner and Tour Guide Rob was absolutely fantastic, his knowledge of the area is amazing and gave us a wonderful insight into the diversified areas of this incredible region. Visited beautiful waterfalls and swimming areas and were well fed with morning and afternoon tea along with a superbly cooked Barramundi lunch. It was an excellent introduction to the many natural features of Litchfield National Park and the natural world in this part of Australia. Just back from a few days in the NT and booked an Ethical Adventures tours based on word of mouth from some friends. Very glad we did,
We had to change the day due to other commitments, no problem great communication via e-mail and reconfirmed.
Rob picked us up from the hotel on time as promised.
The day then went according to plan, what the plan didn't outline was just what a great trip it was and how big a part of the trip was Rob and his great local and scientific knowledge and what a great tour guide he is.
Small group tour with a very friendly feel to it.
The Litchfield day tour was just what we wanted,
Berry springs, Batchelor, Rum Jungle, National Park. The food was great , morning tea and lunch.
The tour felt relaxed and pleasant the whole day, Rob never rushed anyone and the whole group worked in with his itinerary.
It was the small touches that made a big impression, the frozen face clothes after the termite mound visit, the frozen orange segments after our swim at the falls.
If you want a tour guide who is very knowledgable, personable and a damn good bloke then Rob and Ethical Adventures is the way to go. This is a guy who knows what he talking about and cares about the environment he takes you to experience. Value for Money and experience we hope to repeat in the future with a Kakadu trip.

The other reviews are totally on the money. Rob is full of energy and provides a perfectly well rounded tour, but not only is he is a wealth of knowledge (as other reviews state), he is a pretty nice bloke to boot. I signed up because of the reviews on here and I was not at all disappointed. The tour offers options for both those who want to chill and those who want to charge a bit more which is pretty impressive. And the food was absolutely delish!!! Afternoon cookies were soooo good, would love the recipe (hint hint..) Can't recommend enough.

A day out on an Ethical Adventures trip to Litchfield National Park and surrounds was the highlight of my Darwin experience.
We saw and learnt so much about the area and the National Park itself- Rob has a wealth of knowledge from everything from the history.. and the current affairs of this area, bush tucker knowledge, animal and wildlife species, geology, and all things NT. He is passionate about the environment and all that makes this place so special. As well as the trip itself he kept us well feed with no less than 6 meals/ snacks for the day- including - his wife Tracey’s home made Mango muffins and cookies, fruit, ice blocks, and the lovely fresh Bbq’d Barramundi and Salad we enjoyed for lunch.
I couldn’t recommend this small husband and wife operation highly enough- where you are thoroughly looked after and entertained for the whole day- by the end of the day you will feel you have learnt so very much and spent the day with family- you will be farewelled with genuine appreciation - and a hug! Well done guys!

This one of the best one-day tours I have ever been on. The group numbers are kept small, ie around 10-12 people, so the experience is personalised.
The trip was very well organised and Rob went out of his way to make the tour an unforgettable experience for everyone. He is passionate about what he does and ensures the entire approach is ethical, consistent with the business name. He is respectful to the environment and to aboriginal people and tried to work-in with other enterprises to make a positive contribution to the places visited.
On the drive to Litchfield National Park he provided a brief historical background about the two people he admires, explorer John McDouall Stuart and Frederick Henry Litchfield, so there was a really helpful context for our visit to the area and, in particular, to Litchfield National Park.
There is the opportunity to swim in a warm waterhole at Berry Springs, although I preferred to go for a 40 minute walk and meet a couple of kangaroos and watch the kites circling above.
It seems like we did, saw and experienced so much in one day but it was all at an easy going pace. It was a brilliant tour.

What an amazing experience! Rob, our host and guide made us feel welcome from the very first moment. Throughout the day he remained consistently thoughtful and considerate of all his guests, ensuring everyone felt included and respected. He generously shared his extensive knowledge of the local area. The food content of the tour was generous and well spaced. Home cooked delicious muffins with morning tea, a freshly cooked BBQ lunch inside a screened comfortable room followed by home baked cookies and iced tea in the afternoon along with other little treats and fruit along the way. Even a beautifully scented icy towel to cool us after a walk, so thoughtful! The scenery was as promised and a thoughtfully planned schedule allowed for a great day avoiding much of the crowds. Rob encouraged our small group to interact so it was just like being on tour with friends, a real skill in itself. The day was relaxed, calm and not rushed but covered everything as promised. I can not recommend Rob and this tour highly enough!

Recommendations from friends & from the front desk of our accommodation in Darwin led us to Ethical Adventures & we are so glad we chose to go with Rob on a sensational day exploring Litchfield Park.
This was truly the highlight of our six days in Darwin. We had previously done a couple of day tours with the biggest tour operator in town & while we saw some great sights with them, there was absolutely no comparison between their offerings & what Rob provided for us. Instead of being in a group of 54 & being subjected to a timetable that was run with military precision we had a much more relaxing time with Rob. There were only six of us on the tour & right up front Rob told us that the days was ours. We were in charge of the pace & we could spend as little or as long as we liked at the sights he had picked out for us. The small group made this possible. Time wasn't wasted waiting for 50 or so people to make their purchases or have their comfort stop & we also had the advantage of getting to know our group on a much more personal level.
As other reviewers have said the day was filled with experiences such as a swim in a geothermally heated water hole with mango muffins & coffee by the waters edge, a visit to the Batchelor Museum, barbequed barramundi & fresh salads for lunch, the giant termite mounds, views of Tolmer Falls, another swim at Wangi Falls & finally afternoon tea in the serenity of Fogg Dam. All of this at a relaxed pace without the faintest hint of a schedule.
The amount of thought Rob put into crafting the day, his passion for the bush & the environment & his knowledge of the area, which he was able to impart in such an entertaining way, made this a memorable experience. Thanks Rob for putting the finishing touches to our Top End adventure & it goes without saying we will be recommending your services to any Top End travellers we come across in the future.

I spent one day with Rob and the other guests on the Litchfield tour. The group size was not too big. All was very well organised, the program was very diverse (I even tasted green ants as part of an outback survival vitamin source): termite houses, the outback, museums, waterfalls etc. Rob was very friendly and explained a lot. The food was sufficient and very tasty, fried fish, homemade salads and cake etc. I spent a very nice day, felt comfortable and learnt a lot. I can highly recommend this tour.

I really want to stress why this tour is different from others. It is small, personal, full of information and they genuinely care about their home. I have been fortunate to travel to many places in this world and the best tours are always the locals who love locals.
First off, Rob greeted me and he teased me as I was spending my wedding anniversary on a tour while my husband was working. I loved his sense of humour and knew we would get along great. He made sure he introduced each of his guests to one another. He made one of us sit up front with him so he could get to know everyone.
First stop, Berry Springs nature park where we had a wonderful swim. Goggles were provided to check out the little fish! Then had a nice coffee and homemade muffins.
We stopped in Batchelor where we toured the little museum there and had our yummy lunch - all put together by Rob’s wife Tracey. We had decided to stay a bit longer to watch more of the WWII video in the museum. Then off to Termite mounds and then the amazing waterfalls. There was an optional hike which took 30-40 min that went around one of the waterfalls. The swim was fabulous and then we finished our tour with drink and snack in the wetlands.
The super cool perks were the personal touches like the frozen cloth to cool ourselves and a frozen ice pop.

I strongly recommend this day trip not only for the itinerary and trip in itself but also for the amazing service and guide, Rob who definitely contributed a lot to the high quality of this tour !
Great itinerary, delicious snacks and lunch, ponctual picked up, comfortable drive, guide passionated, highly knowledgeable, funny, very professional and with a constant super pleasant mood all day long, no matter what! :)
It’s a pity Ethical Adventures is not offering multi-day trips to Kakadu/Katherine/Arnhem Land as I would definitely have signed up for it without any hesitation!

This has every element for a truly great tour. Rob is highly knowledgeable of every aspect of the area - geology, flora and fauna, bush tucker, local industries etc. He is also genuinely interested in the people he takes out with him and therefore very quickly enables the group to feel comfortable and relaxed with each other. He includes the loveliest places to visit and manages the day to avoid the crowds. At every stop there is a thoughtful surprise - something to eat, something to cool you down (I won't give away all the surprises!). It is a quality experience. Why would you book with anyone else?!

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Darwin. Amazing scenery and experiences. Plenty of time to swim in streams and waterfalls or just dabble your feet to cool off. Wonderful homemade snacks kept appearing and a delicious barramundi BBQ for lunch.
As everyone else has said Rob is an outstanding tour guide, extremely knowledgeable about the history, the environment, flora and fauna and lots of fun too.
Can't recommend it enough.

Most impressed with his infinite knowledge of the region and flexibility to re-arrange
sequence of stops to optimise viewing and swimming.
Homemade morning & afternoon tea and surprise snacks provided.At lunchtime Rob
donned his Chef's hat, BBQ'd fresh local caught barramundi teamed with salads went
down a treat.
A thoroughly memorable day without any hustle & bustle. Lots of laughs too.

Suffice to say, if you are looking for an amazing day out without the generic commentary provided by big buses and big groups, CHOOSE THIS COMPANY. From the time we boarded the comfortable 10 seater bus we were given an insightful and knowledgeable history of the region by our guide Rob. Our journey through the park was exhilarating from swimming in clear water pools to licking live GREEN ANTS - wow who would of thought the taste would be so delicious...then they scramble back to their leaves. A memorable day with delicious food and drinks which awakened our newness to this ancient land of stunning forms and beauty. It was a wonderful adventure and made even more interesting by having a capable driver/guide who aimed to please so we could relax and enjoy the visual delights.

Rob from Ethical Adventures picked us up from our cruise ship at Darwin Ship terminal and took our group of 10 for a brilliant day out. We had a yummy BBQ lunch at Batchelor and enjoyed the fascinating museum there. Swam in gorgeous, pristine waterholes in Litchfield National Park. Rob was very knowledgable about the area and keen to give us a unique experience in this beautiful part of the world. His wife had baked us amazing cookies and muffins too. This boutique company ticks all the boxes. Highly recommended.

Rob was a great host and very professional. He picked me up from my hotel promptly and did his best to make the day enjoyable and help all the passengers get to know one another. He showed us some great places and was happy to adapt our itinerary according to circumstances. We got to see the best that Lichfield has to offer and learnt a lot about the park. Great mango muffins for morning tea and plentiful barramundi for lunch. Before the trip I had email contact with Rob and he went out of his way to help me with my concerns. Definitely recommend this company.

Our last trip in Oz after almost 4 weeks! Booked at the last minute; saved best til last!
Rob was funny and informative; knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Lovely snacks( but apparently his wife’s are better) , and the trip with a sister company on the billabong was fab too. Lots to see, plenty of chat with a small group, and even swung round on the highway when I spotted a particularly rare bird which we’d been looking for all day! Finished at a lovely cafe on the beach, with native Australian spear fishing yards away!

We recently spent 3 days in Darwin and our tour with Ethical Adventures was by far the highlight of our trip. My husband said it is the best "touristy thing" he has ever done. I chose this tour because of the wonderful reviews and I was not disappointed. If you aren't sure which tour company to book with, GO WITH ETHICAL ADVENTURES, it is worth every cent!!
The swimming spots we visited were beautiful and not overcrowded. The day was super relaxed and we never felt as if we were being rushed - at times it even felt spontaneous, stopping to try fresh mangoes from a roadside stall and stopping off at a quirky little caravan park for a drink on the way back to Darwin. Our guide, Rob, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the area. There were only 4 people on our tour so it really felt like we were just hanging out with friends all day. The food provided was delicious and the frozen oranges were especially perfect for a hot day. Rob took photos of our group throughout the day and then shared them to a Dropbox for us all to see after the tour.

We had the privilege of spending 2 days learning about, and discovering the beauty and history of Kakadu. Nalani, our driver and guide, shared her knowledge & love of Kakadu. Our cruise along East Alligator River was very informative. The Sunrise Cruise on the Yellow Waters produced the delights of seeing 2 barking owls, water buffaloes, and many varieties of bird life. A very enthusiastic guide. The highlight was seeing 4 crocodiles!!
We were shown rock art as well. So much to learn and see and enjoy!!
The care, meals, overnight accommodation and our guide are highly recommended.
2 full days we highly recommend! It’s a long way from Darwin to Kakadu!

Excellent tour with knowledgeable tour guide(s). Pick up at 7 am and home by 4 pm. Loved Litchfield National Park with pretty walks, lovely waterfalls and beautiful pools for swimming. Guides give you ample time to explore each stop. Excellent food with morning and afternoon tea and best lunch ever (chicken, green salad and fruit). Enjoyed learning about the history and ecology of the park and NT. Highly recommend!!

Our guide for the day, Nelani, was fantastic - so knowledgeable and passionate about the area and its flora and fauna. We got to see all the main scenic spots (Wangi, Florence, Tolmer etc), and went to a stunning, quiet and croc safe spot for some swimming and the most delicious lunch. The care the team took to ensure dietary requirements (and even dietary preferences for kids) were met was phenomenal. Also loved the flexibility of the tour which meant people could decide if they wanted to do optional walks (which we did). Would definitely recommend !

If I could, I’d add an extra star to this tour. It lived up to my expectations totally. Rob curates the experiences perfectly based on the day and the people on the bus. He kept up the conversation as we drove out of Darwin providing interesting information. He helped the 8 of us (3 couples, 2 solo) to get to know each other. He has such amazing knowledge of the area - flora, fauna, history, what can be done and when the best time is to do it to avoid the crowds. I would imagine you could do the same Ethical Adventures Tour several times and have a different positive experience each time. Would have loved a few more swims but knew before I booked that April is still a bit off season. Not all swimming areas had been checked by park rangers.

Our very small group had an amazing multi day tour of Litchfield and a Kakadu with ethical adventures. No crowds or queues for us as Rob used his extensive local knowledge to navigate around the most popular spots and timed our experiences so we had every location almost to ourselves. We covered a lot of kilometres but frequent stops for sights and nourishment and Robs commentary educated and entertained us all the way. Kakadu is huge. The accommodation, food and vehicle were all excellent.
Visiting these areas in the wet season is very special. It’s still a bit hot but the walks are paced to cope with the weather. The afternoon storms were brief and spectacular. We safely swam in Litchfield, saw ancient rock art and were lucky to have 2 boat cruises in Kakadu. So much water. Both were highlights for different reasons. Yellow water billabong for the bird life and crocs. The cruise of Magela Creek for the indigenous perspective of land through the flooded paperbark forest.
This was my 4th ethical adventures experience and all have exceeded my expectations.

We undertook a 3 day tour of Lichfield and Kakadu with Rob as our guide from Ethical Adventures who is an excellent advocate for the NT with his knowledge of the natural environment and the indigenous culture and connection to the land.
Rob has a great sense of humour and an openness that is both refreshing and a reason that I would highly recommend the company.

Our choice of tour to Litchfield National Park was made on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews. It was evident that Ethical Adventures was a more costly option yet the prospect of a smaller tour group and more quality experience was worth it. We were not disappointed. Carl as our driver, guide was much more. Our host and entertainment worked with the owners to make it an experience unforgettable. Every need was anticipated and every opportunity to spoil us in little ways was afforded. The warm home made mango muffins, the fruit ice treats provided following a hot and brief trek up the hill from the rock pools. Lunch of chicken, avocado, brie, cranberry and greens salad is among the best I’ve ever had. Iced tea, flavoured mineral water, comfortable air conditioned minibus and the raconteurish story telling of Carl made for such an enjoyable day. The three swimming spots selected were just stunning and the pace of the day never seemed rushed nor laboured.
Carl shares some very funny stories and his larrikin observations about some of the crazy NT infrastructure decisions were priceless. This was the best value for money tour experience we’ve had in years. We generally don’t like structured touring but the owners through Carl made it like we were hosted by generous and caring friends.

What an awesome way to start the tour. Swimming at Berry Springs. Seeing wildlife and plenty of fish. Our guide Daz made the experience even better with his knowledge of Litchfield and his regular dad jokes. He also went above and beyond for our anniversary by singing an Elvis song.
Due to the smaller number of guests, it allowed more time and less rush to return to the bus. The stops were perfect by making sure we went to less crowded areas. I could rave on about the whole day but I think it’s something I recommend highly to do yourself.

Brilliant day out in Lichfield National Park. Our guide was Daz who was a fountain of knowledge on the flora, fauna and history of the park. We visited 3 waterfall/swimming areas which were all amazing. Saw birds, bats, lizards but no crocs! Daz provided us with tea, coffee, water, home made Anzac cookies and muffins throughout the trip. And also a delicious chicken salad lunch with seeds and berries . A very relaxed day but we still covered a lot of ground. I highly recommend this trip.

Had the most amazing day out in Litchfield Park with Ethical Adventures and tour guide Daz who was very informative and humorous. Highly recommend this tour. Swam at three beautiful waterfalls/pools, visited termite mounds and Banyan tree bar. Lovely fresh lunch and snacks throughout the day. Loved the small group size. What a fantastic experience we had on our 2 day Colors of Kakadu trip. From the moment Adam introduced himself as our guide for the next 2 days, we felt so relaxed and confident we were going to have a great time. It was an early start, but that was soon forgotten when we reached Fogg Dam to hear and see nature awakening for another day. All this whilst we ate fresh ham & cheese croissants, yoghurt, fruit, juice tea and coffee. On we travelled in the comfort of our air conditioned small van to our next stop - Cahills Crossing - for a cruise on the Alligator River. Could not get over how many crocodiles we saw . Once completed, we ate a fresh lunch of chicken and salad, (another wonderful creation by Tracey). From there we continued on to our accommodation for the night, which given our location, was more than expected. But then it is no surprise really, given the care and attention to every detail of the trip that the team at Ethical go to . I could go on about every part of our trip in more detail, but I'll probably lose those I haven't already lost .Basically, if you are looking to go on a trip

The tour was amazing we visited four waterfalls, swimming in three of them. Dazza our guide was great Informative, interactive and passionate about Litchfield NP and the top end. Loved our swim at Berry falls at 8:00am in the hot springs with no one else there. Food was great, lovely lunch under the trees at Tabletop swamp . Yea , coffee, water , sunscreen etc available throughout the trip. Loved our final stop at the Banyan Tree resort/pub at Rum Jungle for a coldie on the way home. Great day that show cased Litchfield that was made even more memorable by Dazza!

Incredible experience in the beautiful Litchfield National park. We researched many tours and this one had the best reviews and now we know why. Our guide Karl was very knowledgeable, friendly and ran the tour so smoothly. The swimming was refreshing and we spent the perfect amount of time at each stop. The small group nature of this trip made it so much better than the big tour buses. The food was so delicious with homemade muffins, fresh salads and treats along the way. Loved this trip and highly recommend it for a wonderful day out exploring the national park.

A top class experience. We saw so much in one day, getting to Berry Springs early ensured a quiet and special swim in beautifully temperate waters. Goggles were thoughtfully provided which enabled us to see the fish life. Our guide Nalani was very knowledgeable about the local environments and natural history. We learnt so much from her commentary and informal chat. Constant supply of quality food, drinks and comfort items such as chilled towels and ice blocks on a warm day went beyond our expectations. The Lichfield Park day tour provided by owner-operators Rob and Tracey was fantastic from start to finish. It was informative, immersive and thought-provoking. An opportunity to experience the diversity and natural wonders of the park, such as swimming at Florence Falls, is too good to miss. We had a great day out to Litchfield NP with Karen. The set up and organisation was excellent - everything you could possibly think of was covered. The small group trip in a comfortable merc minibus was exactly what we wanted - we don't like large group coach trips! We were well fed and watered during the day - possibly the best chicken salad that I've ever had! Karen was informative and an excellent guide and very willing to answer questions. The waterfalls, scenery, swamp, wildlife and the lookouts were all amazing and swimming at the waterfalls was a great experience and very surreal when we had a brief but heavy rain shower at Wangi Falls ! We would thoroughly recommend this trip.

This was a really great experience, and well worth adding to your trip. We did the self-drive meet up, so met the team at the Pinnacles at the designated time and were able to enjoy the Pinnacles in the daylight, during sunset, and at night, The Lumineer team were very friendly, cooked up a delicious BBQ dinner, and then we were able to use their awesome telescopes to view the rings of Saturn & a comet, amongst other things. Recommend.

Super well organised, beautiful beaches, the sandboarding was a lot of fun and the Pinnacles Desert before and after Sunset was incredible!
The BBQ had a big variety of amazing salads!
The stars were so beautiful, we even saw two other galaxies and on the Fotos, the Atlas Komet showed!

One of the best tours. They contacted me prior and explained the pick up details, including the name of the driver and pick up route which is helpful to be prepared. Both Hadrien and Don were super fun, helpful, and they did extra mile to ensure we enjoyed the excursion although it was cloudy and drizzly.

Sam & Sam were great we did the self drive, coming down from Jurien Bay for the evening arrived a little early had a drive around them met up with the bus. Both Sam’s shared conversation and knowledge about the pinnacles then again on the star gazing. Informative and enjoyable evening with the family

We recently took a tour with Lumineer Adventure Tours in Perth, and it was an unforgettable experience! They brought us to see some of the most stunning beaches, followed by an incredible evening of stargazing in the Pinnacle Desert.
The absolute highlight of the trip was our tour guide, Hadriel. He went above and beyond in every way. Not only was he a skilled and safe driver, but he was also incredibly helpful, friendly, and fun to be around. Hadriel even taught us how to take amazing photos of the Milky Way, which was an unexpected and memorable bonus! To top it all off, he prepared a delicious dinner for us under the stars.
We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or experience. Highly recommend Lumineer Adventure Tours for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Perth!

We recently did a self-drive tour with Lumineer for the Pinnacles Star Gazing tour. We were already staying in Jurien Bay, so it was easier to meet the buses and tour guides on-site (rather than take the bus from Perth). This was no hassle for the guides and they were especially welcoming and flexible. The Pinnacles were amazing - we'd never seen anything like it. It was particularly beautiful at sunset and we allloved the star-gazing component. The experience was enjoyable for the whole family (two adults and two teens) and my daughter's food allergies were very well catered for. The guides are knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share information with everyone

Did the Pinnacles Stargazing and Lancelin tour. Am impressed with their service level. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The dinner at Pinnacles is also a very unique experience and the food is delicious.

I went to Pinnacles desert with the company and I received more than promised.
Skip was the guide we had and he was the soul of the trip. Super funny and huge knowledge of the astrology.

I went on their Pinnacles Stargazing Tour and couldn’t have been more impressed. From the first interaction I had with them regarding a prior injury and a request to be picked up first, they were very professional and courteous.
On the day of the trip, I sat next to the driver, Skip, and he was a delight throughout and true credit to the company as a whole. He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour, making everyone feel welcome.
Then, of course, the tour was fantastic, taking us to a few different locations, and helped me achieve a life goal of seeing the Milky Way sky in person.

Attended the pinnacles tour this evening (15/07/24) with Gavin!
My partner and myself loved it! Gavin was great polite friendly and knowledgeable
and went out of his way to interact with every single attendee.
The use of the binoculars and telescope were awesome!
The bbq and salad was also delicious with plenty of yummy salads!
The pinnacles are a must do for any visit to Perth and I highly recommend Lumineer for the tour!

Minibus was comfortable and they brought some blankets for anyone need extra warmth. The food was probably not enough for a big group since we had few others joining us from the self drive for the dinner & stargazing. I would recommend to bring lots of snacks and plenty of water. The instruction was to bring a small bottle water but you would need to refill throughout the day as it is a long day drive. Bring a power bank for your phone/camera to last for the day/night.
We are thrilled we did it and would be happy to do it again maybe on a self-drive tour and stay in a nearby town instead of driving back. Thank you Lumineer Adventure Tour for the unforgettable experience! <3

We did the Pinnacles Stargazing tour and would highly recommend this experience when visiting Perth.Neal was the perfect guide to take us on this adventure.His knowledge of Western Australia as whole but particularly the Pinnacles and stargazing was phenomenal and made the trip interesting from start to finish . We loved every stop and the sandboarding was great. The bus was very comfortable and dinner was fresh and tasty . The Pinnacles are simply an amazing site to visit, and we have never seen so many stars and satellites so clearly! Lumineer tours were excellent with communication and punctual. Great value for money for a memory making experience that should not be missed!

I had been wanting to do this for over a year now! I decided to book for my birthday! And the tour exceeded expectations. A few weeks before, I called up to ask a couple of questions and Claire who worked in the office rang me back to answer them. She was so lovely, helpful and informative and even went out of her way to tell the guides that it was my birthday and organise little cupcakes. They went above and beyond to make it so special for me!
We were picked up promptly from the hotel and were frequently informed by our driver, Gavin, when we would make restroom/snack stops, how long each part of the drive would take and what we would be doing next throughout the day. Gavin had some very interesting information and facts he shared with us all during the course of the day!

I took the two day tour into Kakadu and added on the option of staying an extra night and continuing into Arnhem Land. It was a fantastic experience. I was travelling on my own, and came across Ethical Adventures by complete chance, but am so glad I did. I particularly liked the emphasis on the local culture. I'd do another tour with them, any time! And staying at Anbinik resort was a real treat.

Our host Steve was an absolute delight, the knowledge of this man in everything is mind blowing, he made our trip to kakadu memorable and knowledgeable. What made it great was firstly the group size, the meals and the experience of a great host in showing and informing us of this beautiful land.
Would highly recommend the little bit extra and going with this company for any tour as it was well worth it!!

The two days with ethical adventures were just great. Two great national parks in two days. We have seen impressive landscapes and great waterfalls, where we e.g. T. could even swim and many animals. The tour is definitely worth it.
However, Rob, the owner of ethical adventures, has made it a very special experience. He not only drove safely, provided us with delicious food and drinks, but above all brought us closer to nature, Aboriginal culture and Australia as a whole. In particular, his attitude towards dealing with land and people was impressive and will serve as a role model for us.
He was one of the best guides we had.

We booked the tour with Ethical Adventures directly. It was the best part of our trip to Darwin!
Rob was a great guide, tour group was small.
Stopped for morning tea and yummy muffins at Florence Falls and had delicious lunch at Wangi Falls. The water was perfect clear.
We learnt lots of info about the area, trees, plants , animals from Rob.
I highly recommend this tour.

We had such a fantastic day with Rob on our tour to Litchfield National Park. I can’t recommend Ethical Adventures highly enough! It was an enjoyable small group experience with delicious food and loads of interesting information about the area. The walks were beautiful, the swims were amazing, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. I’m still smiling from ear to ear after such a fabulous day. A big thank you to Rob and the team for making it the best day ever!

This wet season day trip from Darwin was an ideal experience in every way for my two teen children and I. Litchfield National Park is a must see, offering a beautifully interesting slice of the NT, only a 90-minute drive from the city. Rob, our guide and the proud owner of this terrific business, was a joy to spend time with. He managed to make each of us feel individually respected and considered, and expertly tailored our experiences in the National Park. We were both comfortable and challenged, invigorated and relaxed, amused and enthralled. Not to mention very well fed and hydrated. Absolutely worth every cent and second!
